Trans Doctors Can Use Lavatories of Their Choice, Says Hospital Trust

A London hospital trust has defied Wes Streeting by letting trans staff choose their own lavatories and changing rooms. The Telegraph has the details.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ trust’s new transgender equality policy tells all staff they must refer to everyone with the pronoun of their choice, even if they do not believe in gender ideology.

It also advises managers not to disclose the trans status of a doctor or a nurse to patients, which campaigners fear could mean patients not being guaranteed intimate care by someone of the same sex.

The guidance comes after eight nurses from Darlington took their trust to court after being forced to share a changing room with a biological man who identifies as a woman. …

NHS Fife is currently in a legal dispute after Sandie Peggie, a nurse, had to share a changing room with a transwoman.

Fiona McAnena, the Director of Campaigns at women’s rights charity Sex Matters, said: “With the Darlington nurses and Sandie Peggie cases under way, it’s inexplicable that Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust has just produced a new policy stating that staff who identify as transgender can access the facilities of the ‘gender’ they identify as.” …

The trust’s transgender policy, seen by the Telegraph, was drawn up by equalities officers and LGBT members of staff.

Controversially, it recognises “non-binary” identities, which are not recognised in law.

It sets an aim for all NHS staff in the two hospitals to be trained on “non-binary staff and gender non-conforming identities”.

The trust also said it would collect data on the gender that staff identify as, but not their biological sex, in defiance of the Government.

On toilets and changing rooms, the guidance states: “Facilities: provide access to gender-appropriate facilities. Gender-neutral options will also be made available where possible.

“Transgender people are accommodated according to the gender they identify with, rather than sex registered at birth, regardless of where they are on the transition journey.”

The guidance states that “everyone is addressed using the names and pronouns that they request at that moment in time”.

NO ONE has the right to endanger women and girls in this way.

Seems the NHS needs to understand no means no!

I can’t stop wondering what exactly started this non-sense… I would honestly understand and consider accepting it if there were suddenly cases of men dressed as women being harassed, abused or raped when using the gents toilet, but I’m only aware of women being victims of these so called trans women.

What I’m also wondering is how many men are going to be up in arms about the prospect of their private spaces being invaded and sex-based rights being trampled on when all those FtM ( female to male ) trans people start using their toilets and potentially sexually assaulting them, perving at their willies or just flashing their bits. Because, I don’t know about you, but there’s a deafening silence coming from the men. I mean, anyone would think this is all one-sided and it’s an opportunity for male sexual predators and men with fetishes ( seriously, what do you call a woman who likes to wear trousers and a shirt?🙄 ) to exploit these rules in order to legitimise their degeneracy.
Obviously women identifying as men do exist, but they just seem to be able to stay respectfully behaved and on the right side of the law. Strange that, don’t you think? Surely it’s just “media distortion”.😐

It’s a ridiculous, appalling thing I couldn’t agree more, but almost every aspect of the NHS is an embarrassing hideous nightmare.

plse somebody just make it stop.

I’m absolutely sure this will not last forever, but since these people don’t listen to reason and common sense, it will either be when something bad happens (or a series of terrible events) or when it will come in conflict with another characteristic the leftards care about. I’m sure there are more Muslim women than gender confused men working for the NHS, so I wonder how their Muslim husbands feel about this.

FFS we have a health service on its knees, with approx. 18 month backlog, more DEI executives than doctors which is eating up over 150bn quid a year, delivering the worst clinical outcomes in the supposedly civilized world, and this shit is all we can can talk about???

“The trust’s transgender policy was drawn up by equalities officers and LGBT members of staff.”

Therein lies the problem. Policy of a tiny minority, by a tiny minority, for a tiny minority.

Meanwhile in the Daily Sceptic three years ago…

https://staging.dailysceptic.org/2022/06/05/british-public-vastly-overestimates-size-of-minority-groups/

“…According to a new poll, the British public think various minority groups make up a far larger percentage of the population that they really do.”

LGBT Mob cited as 3.4-3.8% of UK populace, of which 0.3-0.7% are T – range presumably reflects time of the month, state of the weather, phase of the moon. Looney Tunes fans abound.

Go figure, NHS MisTrust. Physicians heal thyselves.

You are right about the statistics. Less than 1% have genuine issues with their sex.
The statistic not mentioned so much is that 9% of the population have an unhealthy interest in children. What better, for a paedophile, than to be able to access vulnerable young children by pretending to be a woman in a dress and knowing the law will protect him from being stopped.

We need a system whereby senior executives of NHS trusts (plus other executives in public sector organisations) are directly appointed by the government and can be sacked by the government if they ignore what ministers tell them to do in any respect, not just DEI nonesense.

We need a system whereby those who pay for a service are able to choose from a wide range of providers; a healthy private sector.

Only then will this nonsense stop.

Streeting will do nothing about this though part of the problem. Upfront bravado but no follow through. It would be good to be proved wrong but not expecting it.

So pleased all our taxes to fund the NHS can be devoted to the various Trusts political and societal agendas, so much more valuable than saving lives and curing people.
