How to Earn More in the BBC’s Top Ranks: ‘Don’t Be Straight, White or Male’
The BBC has found itself under fire after its annual report revealed that senior managers from diverse backgrounds earn significantly more than their straight, white, male counterparts. The Telegraphhas the story.
Statistics released in the corporation’s annual report reveal that LGBT, ethnic minority, disabled and female senior managers earn larger salaries than those not from those backgrounds.
The revelation comes despite the BBC having committed to equal pay.
Critics said the corporation’s commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) initiatives had resulted in “discrimination”.
The BBC’s diversity and inclusion plan for 2021-2023 committed to “investing in diverse leadership” and meeting its 50:20:12 targets across the corporation – 50% women, at least 20% black, Asian or minority ethnic and at least 12% disabled employees.
Figures in the BBC’s 2023/24 annual report show that senior managers who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) earn salaries 15.6% larger than those who are not.
Senior managers from black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds (BAME) earn a median average 12.6% more than white ones.
Disabled senior managers earn 8.4% more than those who are not disabled and women in top roles earn 5.7% more than men. …
The scale of the “reverse pay gap” has increased in recent years.
In 2020/21, LGBT and female senior managers earned just 0.5% and 4.3% more, respectively.
In 2021/22, BAME senior managers earned 8.8% more than white ones. The BBC has not previously published data for disabled senior managers.
“BAME” again. The “AME” was tacked on at some point after the initial kerfuffle about “anti-black racism” or “black under-representation/under-achievement” I guess because it became a bit embarrassing. I am sure all the non-white people in the UK are delighted to be lumped together – sure they all love each other to bits. Are Jews “minority ethnic”? They don’t overly look it. What about Arabs? I thought my Syrian colleague was Italian when I first met him. What about people from Southern Europe – are they “minority ethnic”? I guess Chinese, Korean and Japanese are because they look quite different – and of course I am sure they are terribly discriminated against and need special treatment, especially the Japanese. What a crock of crap.

It might explain why BBC programmes of alleged bias manage to squeak past the bosses.
And yet the boss, Tim Davie, is white and male, not sure about his sexuality. It’s a bit like how someone on here was going on about this “male, pale and stale” thing recently, and somebody being unable to get in the RAF. Well all the armed forces have white males in charge, and yet white men are being discriminated against. The Met police have a white man in charge. So in reality, who is actually doing the discriminating against white men?🤔🤷♂️
I know it’s a bitter pill to swallow for many on here, isn’t it? The fact that woketards come in both sexes and to accept that all around are examples of men screwing over their fellow men. How that inconvenient truth must rankle.☹ Because only the wilfully ignorant, obsessively grinding their axes ad infinitum, would continue to scapegoat the opposite sex at every available opportunity. Contradictory facts never go down well with the misogynists, for whom truth is like kryptonite, and must be denied at all costs, as I’m sure the resident army of cowards will make abundantly clear. Ain’t that right, chaps?😉

Mogs with all possible respect but sometimes just occasionally and not always because many of your posts are extremely sound, but sometimes you do come over as a bit of a bunny boiler, thereby undermining your arguments.
Just exercising my right to free speech🤷♀️, but if you want to fact check my original post, by all means go ahead. That’s only a handful. I expect there’ll be way more organisations with white men in charge that are adhering to the DEI garbage and discriminating against fellow white men, if anybody cared to look. Seemingly stating facts offends some people on here. I wonder why…Could it be that they can’t cope when reality contradicts their narrative?🧐
What can I say? Mogwai’s the name, dropping inconvenient facts is my game. And I’ll never cave to those who seek to censor me. So keep demonstrating how much you don’t support the concept of free speech, haters. I’ll still rest easy of a night either way.👍
Reminder: 👎 = ‘coward’. So the fact that not a single person has explained what they find problematic about my factually correct post says it all. Thanks for perfectly illustrating my point, though. 😀

That’s when the BBC was officially named.
From that day the first national broadcasting company in the world was paid for by the British tax payer,
Two more years (2027) and it’s the first centennial of any radio televisual broadcasting entertainment system ever! IN THE WORLD!
why don’t I feel proud?
If it had stuck to its original core values we’d be having street parties in 2 years time!

No wonder, since the Chairman of the BBC is now the Ethnic Indian Samir Shah, who has also just declared that wealthy people should pay higher fees for the television licence (excluding himself and all his Indian relatives, no doubt).
In yet another classic case of Third World Nepotism, his own Ethnic Indian brother Mohit Bakaya was chosen to be Controller of BBC4, “earning more” because of his ethnicity, presumably.
India, India, India, Pakistan, Pakistan, Pakistan, Why, Why, Why?
But the “Commonwealth” of 56 nations who can vote in British elections never really meant our cousins in Australia, New Zealand or Canada. It’s all about India & Africa.

The BBC attracts “diverse” people (that is the right sort of diverse people), who can then have exciting career opportunities due to being diverse (rather than talented).
These diverse people will of course also have the correct diverse opinions (let’s face it, any member of the LGBT community is extremely unlikely to be an orthodox Christian). So eventually the BBC will be full of diverse people. All national treasures of course.
Those ratios do not represent society, although the elites may think so.
No one will be surprised by this “revelation” and the elites will be delighted.

Anything which sets out to do what DEI does or indeed any positive discrimination always, always has the opposite result. Like justice, appointments and promotion should be “blind”. Colour, race, sex religion etc should not come into the decision.
When did we stop applying competence and the best individual for the job to selection? Is it any wonder we are underperforming as a society, excellence and competence is no longer the bench mark
If one had the time to search I bet we could find loads of examples of companies that embrace DEI but have a white man in charge. A fact which obviously challenges the cognitive dissonance of the resident women-haters because it thoroughly and conveniently debunks their narrative that females are the ones doing the discriminating and must therefore be scapegoated and blamed. The truth, that it’s actually a fellow white man in charge of company policy, is consequently a bitter pill to swallow. They don’t want to admit and accept that it’s men like them that are stabbing them in the back. But you can’t reason with the delusional. One such example: British Airways. Sean Doyle is the Chief Exec and look at this cringetastic bilge. It does make you wonder who they’re passing over in order to tick some boxes and meet their DEI targets; ”We celebrate different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences and recognise that diversity is a powerful force for change. We want our workforce to be more reflective of the world we live in and the global communities we serve. We believe that our leaders should represent the diverse populations in the UK and are committed to… Read more »

I am not sure ‘squeak’ quite covers paying the Hamas terrorists to make a propaganda film.

Yeah mogs but they’re all girly men.
Not am one of testosterone between them.
They might as well be women.

Except for the weasel Lineker…
Lineker proves that straight white males can do incredibly well at the BBC if they’re sufficiently woke and say the right things on social media.
