French Navy Refuses to Rescue 60 Migrants From Dinghy Filling with Water Off French Coast – and Instead Demands UK Border Force Come and Take them to Britain

French navy officers refused to rescue 60 distressed migrants on a cramped boat filling with water in its territory – and instead radioed and asked UK Border Force to come and rescue them. The Mail has the story.

French officials spent hours this morning shadowing a packed migrant boat – mostly men – across the Channel, sparking extraordinary scenes.

But the situation quickly went awry, as they could be heard shouting and screaming “help” and waving their hands at a nearby French navy boat.

Despite knowing the dinghy was full of water, the French authorities did not help or try and rescue them and instead radioed the UK Border Force.

The incident came as new figures show the total number migrants this year so far has already hit 3,224 – 8% higher than the same point last year which saw 2,983 migrants arrive in Dover.

That’s 26,466 since Keir Starmer took power – an average of 55 a day.

Fours hours after the French Navy had began following a dinghy at 5.50am, around 1.3 miles away from the French coast, they radioed the UK Border Force about the distressed boat.

During the conversation on a public radio system – which can be listened to on any boat – one French official could be heard informing the British service that the boat was full of water and migrants were waving their hands.

One said: “Do you have a rib to clear the situation if possible?”

Border Force replied: “Regarding sending our rib into French water. If possible, it would be preferred if you could launch your rib in your side and if there is any distress, we will come into French waters. But yeah, are you able to launch your rib over?”

The French did as requested and nine miles later handed over the migrants to a UK Border Force vessel, who were then returned to Dover.

One witness said: “This was a complete taxi service. The French said these migrants were distressed and needed help. But it didn’t rescue them. Instead they asked Britain.

“When Britain were not keen, the French simply escorted them even further into British water. It’s appalling.”

Another added: “That’s the French refusing to rescue the boat and instead just waiting for Border Force.

“They are a taxi service. This is evidence of them not wanting to help the migrants and instead just making sure they get to Britain.”

New figures show how the small boats crisis is deepening.

In just the first four days of this month 1,168 migrants have made their way across the Channel, with 326 migrants in six boats making the perilous journey yesterday.

This is the first recording of more than 1,000 arrivals in four days so far this year, according to Home Office data.

Ask for his money back, and charge them with threats of they didn’t comply.

It’s not in France’s interest to rescue them and take them back to France. The great thing is that if there had been one or more deaths they would have blamed the UK border force.

The only way to put a stop to these boats is to make the consequences of arriving this way so unpalatable that they’d rather stay in France. Barracks accommodation, basic food, soap and security – no comms or TV. And only after DNA and biometric ID has been taken. If they’re deported and try again – straight out.

Zero chance of citizenship or benefits of any kind – including medical, housing, education and cash. It would work a treat but of course for that reason will never be tried.

Indeed of course the French don’t want them – why would they?

I agree with most of your comments though the trouble with deporting them is we don’t know where they come from and even if we did I expect their home countries would not want them back. Maybe dump them on a French beach.

Cut all foreign aid to any country refusing to take back their own.
If they throw away their documents, send them directly to Pakistan.

if we dumped them on the French beach that would antagonise the French even more and start a tit for tat. The reason these men get rid of any ID is to obfuscate their origins and age. I do wonder about the phones though…. We heard they were being seized but there’s probably some stupid privacy regulation that stops the border officials from extracting information? Also deportation costs a lot of money and time. The only solution as others say is a powerful deterrent. Not a hotel bed, hot meals and new trainers. Deportation to an offshore facility would work …..

Maybe, though it might push the French into doing more to protect their borders. Macron is not our friend anyway.

Agree about the deterrent. It seems that mobile phone security is hard to crack – at least so we are told.

They made their way into France and have crossed that country. They are entirely France’s responsibility if there is any responsibility for someone that breaks into your ‘house’? Considering the danger that many of the young men pose what kind of friend would push them onto their neighbour? France must obviously either hate us or have nothing but contempt for the British citizens that will be put in danger. They are not our responsibility and as it is the EU that wants open borders they should respect neighbours that do not, unless the EU are tyrannical?

Precisely. And how the heck have these criminal illegal aliens been allowed to traverse the entire length of France to cause misery to the Indigenous French People and soil the beaches of Normandy, without being prevented at any point by the French government?

I’m sure the French are glad to be rid of them and I doubt they care about us. We should reciprocate.

Simple answer. Build a detention centre on one of the small islands around the Falklands. As you say, basic food, wash facilities, two daily exercise periods, no mobile phones allowed, no visitors from NGOs allowed and when they decide to go back home we take them.

I think that’s what the Aussies did, never letting the parasites so much as set foot on Australian soil, but deflecting them off to a distant island camp, and not hurrying about processing their bogus claims, in order to encourage them to give up the ruse and go back to their perfectly safe ancestral homelands.

Just when you think they’ve reached maximum appeasement. They’re going all out here, aren’t they?

”Possessing images of Muslim women without their hijabs should be made a criminal offence, a group of Labour MPs has said.
The Commons’ Women and Equalities Committee said pictures of a Muslim woman without a religious headscarf taken without her consent should be considered “non-consensual intimate images” – and treated as harshly as child sex abuse material.
At the moment, the committee says, English law defines an “intimate” image as one which shows its subject fully or partially nude, engaging in a sexual act or going to the toilet.
But now, the Labour-led group has claimed that “abuse can also include material that is considered ‘culturally intimate’ for the victim, such as a Muslim woman being pictured without her hijab”.

If we were daft enough to send a boat we deserve all we get. The French don’t want them so why would they take them or indeed rescue them?.
In reality these people who pay thousands to ilegally jump the queue of those truly deserving of asylum, and who do go through the correct channels, they are criminals, they know the risks they are taking, if we keep rescuing them, from their crappy boats, it will never end, and it appears they can raise the thousands to come here, but when they do, we then pay for their upkeep, health, education and the right to commit acts of crminality and still stay here.

As the blackbeltbarrister highlighted in his excellent video, one of the charges from the Left are….They are threatened into the boats, but that does not make sense because if they have already paid down the line, why should any Traffickers give a toss if they get in the boat or not?

Yes, declare a Total Moratorium on All Refugee or Asylum Claims for the next Five Years, and just keep extending it for another Five Years indefinitely. No lawyers, no appeals, no human rights nonsense, no social workers, no benefits, no incentive to come back ever again.

Any country refusing to take back their own will have all foreign aid cut off until they do. And any chancers who throw their documents away will automatically be sent to Pakistan, whether they like it or not.

Fully agree with Paul Weston here;

”Many people ask why Western governments continue to import vast numbers of alien cultures and alien people who create murder and mayhem on a daily basis.

The answer is simple, and is all about control. For example, if the pleasantries of Henley-on-Thames were a national reality, there would be little the government could do to move from democracy to totalitarianism.

Conversely, if the unpleasantries of Birmingham were a national reality, it becomes very easy to move from democracy to totalitarianism. The more chaos, the more control to deal with it.

It is no mere coincidence that the hard-left support Communism AND mass immigration. Both are hand-maidens to tyranny.”

And there was me thinking that all matelots have a duty to rescue people in distress at sea. It would now appear that the French have some sort of waiver and that it only applies to the British.

Starmer is gung ho about protecting Ukraine’s borders, but much less so over ours. I don’t understand him. I suppose it’s a legalistic thing. He has decided that the new Britons are legally entitled to come here, and legally entitled to citizenship, and that Putin is conducting an illegal war.

May be in his mind, it’s all about following legal rules. On the other hand, he has demonstrated his contempt for our sovereignty, in his various attempts to subsume us into the EU. So why is he so keen to preserve Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Report on Remix News today says that migrants are increasingly suing the gummint in Germany to allow them to stay. That will also start happening here in the UK. The Liebour Gummint will let it happen as they want to push ‘Progressive Policies’ in order to fight Populism and Right-Wing Extremism. ‘Tis the end of the UK.

Our Liebour ‘Progressive’ Gummint needs to wake up and realise that France is a Failed State. How many times has Starmer had face to face meetings with Macron since he became PM. Dozens.

Has he ever given Macron an ultimatum about stopping the boats? Has he ever discussed the matter with Macron at all?

Instead of going on about ‘boots on the ground’ in Ukraine – the UK, have given Macron several ultimatums – which he has ignored – should by now have boots on the ground in the Calais area of ‘Failed State France’.
