Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Confirmed as US Health Secretary

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been confirmed as US Health Secretary. He was approved by 52 to 48 votes despite efforts to smear him for his work raising concerns about vaccine safety.

The former Democrat and 2024 independent Presidential candidate has pledged to tackle obesity and ultra-processed foods as part of his aim to Make America Healthy Again.

He will now be in charge of a $1.7 trillion agency that manages government-funded health care for millions of people, oversees vaccine and drug development and steers pandemic preparedness.

Former Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell was the only Republican Senator to vote no in the end, possibly motivated by his experience as a polio survivor.

During an earlier confirmation, Senator Bill Cassidy, a former doctor, pressed him to confirm he would not “impound, divert” or reduce any funding from Congress on vaccination programmes. Kennedy said he would not.

By the end of the hearing, Cassidy said he believed the two would have “a great working relationship to make America healthy again”.

It raises hopes for greater transparency around the safety and efficacy of the Covid vaccines and other drugs where campaigners have raised concerns over trials and approvals.

Great news, hopefully he stays safe and delivers.

McConnell is a washed out, barely functioning RINO. The sooner he’s removed the better.

He was also the sole GOP Senator to vote against Tulsi Gabbard.

The comparison between the US and UK is going to get very uncomfortable for our government on so many different issues.

“Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle had questioned his baseless health claims and vaccine scepticism.”

The Marxists at the BBC are choking on their green tea and rice. A joy to behold.

Good luck to him, Obesity and ultra processed products look like easy targets, with pharmaceutical products at the other end of the scale. No doubt it will depend on the financial interests of the administration.

Radical Transparency is a central plank of the Trump admin. Big Pharma better prepare for a hurricane to come down on their cozy world……..not least their bank accounts…..

Bringing RFK on board was a stroke of genius by Trump.

And whoever was the first to come with ‘MAHA’ to go along with ‘MAGA’, that was a stroke of genius too.

It’s strange how he seems to have retreated from his previous anti-vaccine stance and criticism of C19/Fauci. Now the target is food. It looks like Big Pharma is too powerful.

Halleluia. I hope he lifts the lid on the stinking cesspit of Big Pharma, State “Medical Regulators” and the puppeticians who created and pushed the dangerous, experimental gene therapies …. and exterminates the lot of them.

All RFK needs to do is introduce real science and reduce the influence of profiteering and greed. The rest will take care of itself. Kennedy basically said as much during his approval hearings.

sad that not one Dem voted for him, people who used to give him standing ovations. Being partisan now counts more than speaking the truth.

This is fantastic news for us all. We need similar public debate and action in the UK. Parents of children with autism may find this new substack of interest. The aim is to link up with developments in the UK: https://open.substack.com/pub/theautismtribune?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=1s85wn
