Trump Unveils Plan to Take Over Gaza, Move the Palestinians and Turn it into the “Riviera of the Middle East”
President Donald Trump has outlined an extraordinary new plan for Gaza in which the United States will take over the strip and turn it into the “Riviera of the Middle East” while the Palestinian population is moved to neighbouring countries. The Mail has more.
It is the latest evolution in his plan for rebuilding a territory devastated by Israeli bombardment.
His words will sow fear in the Palestinian population but Trump insisted it was time for a new way of thinking and promised to build “the Riviera of the Middle East.” “The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too,” he said at a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site… level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings.”
Trump, a property developer who sees the world in terms of deals, has long talked up Gaza’s coastal location and pleasant climate as a perfect holiday vacation.
In his vision, US reconstruction would create thousands of jobs and spare Palestinians the pain and expense of rebuilding once again.
When a reporter asked if that might involve military force, Trump answered: “If it’s necessary.”
And when asked who would live there, he answered: “I envision world people living there. The world’s people.
“I think you’ll make that into an international, unbelievable place.”
He claimed his plans were based on humanitarian ideals and backing at the highest levels.
Yet the proposal to move out Gaza’s Palestinian two-million population will be seen as a call for ‘ethnic cleansing’ by opponents.
Control of the territory has been one of the key flashpoints in the Arab-Israeli conflict, triggering waves of violence and spreading instability through the region for decades.
At the moment, Hamas controls the territory and holds hostages, while a shaky ceasefire endures.
Netanyahu, who faces the threat of international prosecution and weakening support at home, could not help but beam as the President outlined his latest proposal. He praised Trump for his radical thinking.
And he said it was worth paying attention to Trump’s latest idea for a “different future” for a patch of land riven by terrorism.
“You see things others refuse to see,” he said. “You say things others refuse to say.
“And after the jaws drop people scratch their heads and they say, you know, he’s right.”
Worth reading in full.
Jake Wallis Simons says that Trump’s plan to ‘Make Gaza Great Again’ could really work:
Trump spoke of creating a “Riviera of the Middle East” and the tragedy of this is that the Palestinians could have done that for themselves. Gaza lies just 40 miles from Tel Aviv, the most liberal, innovative and wealthiest city in the region. If its citizens had not elected Hamas in 2006, and had chosen instead a path to peace, the Strip would be thriving today, with its extensive beaches and easy access to Israeli technology and support. But they selected the path of jihad and this is where it has left them. Those of the Biden-Obama-Clinton school may insist on repeating the same formula, perhaps with some minor tweaks; but as I said, their children do not have to live with the consequences. …
At long last, the Middle East has been presented with a bold plan and a bold vision that speaks to the needs of ordinary people rather than the corrupt ideologues who so shamefully lead them and their liberal cheerleaders in the democracies.

… & just where might the 7.5 million Palestinians be headed?
The other Arab nations may take a few as a gesture but of the 5.5m living outside Israel, chances are they’ll be heading for Europe.
Wasn’t that part of the plan if I recall, to cleanse the area and disperse that to Europe where the Human Rights are up to scratch so Netanyahu can wash his hands with them. Thanks for that mate!
There are 2 million Muslims aka fake ‘Palestinians’ in the Jihadist enclave called ‘Gaza’.
Arab Muslim states don’t want them.
I could care less where they end up. Cleaning land of Muslims – that is what needs to happen there, here and everywhere.
If Gaza was attached to the rest of the West Bank, then this would merely be a case of establishing a DMZ a couple of dozen miles long to eradicate a vipers nest of terrorists on the border. That’s happened plenty times before, and has largely worked. EG North vs South Korea.
But because Gaza is seperated from the West Bank, it’s suddenly called ethnic cleansing etc.
Gaza has had how many decades to become civilised? Yet it’s just become so vile that even other Arab states want nothing to do with it. I think they’ve proven by now that they’ll never change. They’ve also shown a complete inability to survive as a settlement without massive amounts of international aid. The only things they produce themselves are rockets, suicide bombers, and kidnappers. They sure aren’t going to pay to rebuild their cities destroyed in the war they started and then refused to surrender in.
Time to relocate Gaza into the larger Palestinian region and redevelop the land. Into what, I don’t know, but maybe an industrial area for the benefit of all the neighbouring countries would be an option, with zero permanent settlements allowed?
I’m thinking ‘Magaza’ has quite the ring to it…🤔🤭
But seriously, these people want to leave. Open the borders and let those who want out settle in Egypt and Jordan. Nobody should be getting transported thousands of kilometers away in the ( culturally unsuitable ) West when you’re surrounded by fellow Muslims living in 50+ lands. Or go to Africa. I hear that’s suitable and there’s plenty of Muslims there too…😁🛐
Just stay the fluff away from Europe please and thank you;

How about a large field of green glass?
Or else do what Trump says, it’s brilliant.
Sorry folks, as a long time Israel watcher I have to tell you thatusing the Daily Mail as your primary source is a joke. The Mail is news for stupid people.
Best source is JNS, or (for lefty views) the Times of Israel.
Trump’s plan is superb, completely outflanking the Israel haters in the international community and best of all, he ain’t asking thier permission.
4th generation ‘refugees’ aren’t refugees, just political pawns, imprisoned by the UN to bully Israel. Nobody refused Ukrainians who wanted to leave a war zone, nor any others in history.
Trump will lean hard on Egypt and Jordan who both need the $ to survive. Qatar and Yemen wil take Palestinians too.
It’s a prime piece of real estate. Shame to waste it on terrorists.
“liberal, innovative and wealthiest city in the region”
It wasn’t so liberal in 2021 coercing their own population and violating the Nuremberg Code. As for Gaza, it would bring an end to what can only be described as a vicious cycle of conflict, resolution, missiles over the wall, retaliation ad infinitum. But just like the Oct 7th attacks, don’t tell be this was not known about.
How innovative. Just deport the remains of the pre-1918 native population and make $$$ from the ‘valuable real estate’ ethnically cleansed in this way. Did Netanyahu come up with that because he needs an exit strategy after almost 1½ years of aimlessly bombing the area with no military objective whatsoever? Do we also already have a plan for how “The Germans will [be made to] pay for everything¹?”
¹ Somewhat apocryphal quote associated with the gargantuan war debts England and France acquired during there mad crusade for the destruction of Germany usually called world war one.
Of course the Germans should have been made to pay, they didn’t and so in due course another 50million people had to die.
In better times Germany would have been divided up properly between the victors and ceased to exist.
Serious failure of statecraft there.
They did pay until about 2010 for the first world war alone and the sole reason for keeping Germany as state after the second world war was to ensure that they would pay. As they have been paying ever since, or, to use the words of Alice Weidel (AfD), “Even for our so-called allies, we’re nothing but a cash machine and a supplier of arms”. For a while, also a supplier of manpower for an army of infantrists supposed to keep the Russian at bay until the occupation troops had managed to withdraw.
If the EU was indeed a German Empire, we wouldn’t want you in.
🙂
As this was apparently unclear: Pay here meant pay our war bills/ debts, not be punished for something.
And your point is?
Your use of pay differed from my use of pay in this respect and the point of my remark, as you’ve certainly understood, was to point this out to avoid possible misunderstandings. I’m not so much interested communication for the sake of showing off and/ or [hopefully] hurting people’s feelings by making gross and nonsensical statements online, where anybody who’s so inclined can always safely do so.
I should have realized this earlier but since your statement makes even less factual sense with this meaning of pay, I originally assumed lack of historical information on you part and pay still meaning pay as in pay bills, as was (quite clearly) intended by me.
It’s an interesting idea; bikini clad women on the beach on ex islamist land. What could possibly go wrong?
I don’t know about ladies but these two look like they’re having sex on the beach.🍹 I see the attention to detail with the buildings in the backdrop too. 😎

“Addressing the challenge of what to do about the indigenous inhabitants of the land, Chaim Weizmann, a Russian Jew, said to the world Zionist Congress in 1921 that Palestinians were akin to “the rocks of Judea, obstacles that had to be cleared on a difficult path”. David Grün, a Polish Jew who changed his name to David Ben-Gurion in order to sound relevant to the region, said “We must expel the Arabs and take their places”. “There are thousands of such conversations among the early Zionists who plotted and implemented the violent colonization of Palestine and the annihilation of her native people, but they were only partially successful, murdering or ethnically cleansing 80% of the Palestinians which meant that 20% of us remained: an enduring obstacle to their colonial fantasies which became the subject of their obsessions in the decades that followed, especially after conquering what remained of Palestine in 1967. “Zionists lamented our presence and they debated publicly in all circles regarding what to do about us, about the Palestinian birth rate, about our babies which they dubbed a demographic threat. Benny Morris, who was meant to be here, originally once publicly regretted that David Ben-Gurion “did not finish… Read more »
The whole idea makes me woof with joy.
Sorry pal didn’t read your jew hating rant, too busy wagging my tail.
I do not hate anyone and there are large numbers of Jews who are equally disgusted as I with Israel’s behaviour. Many DS readers apparently applaud Israel’s slaughter of innocent civilians, especially huge numbers of children of all ages, which is a sad state of affairs.
Trump’s latest revelation just proves that he has absolutely no understanding of the situation in the Middle East. He also clearly believes that USA is totally superior to all other states in the world and he, as its leader, can do as he pleases, such as claim that Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal and now Gaza should become part of the United States.
I consider it extremely doubtful that US forces will be happy to slaughter civilians in the same way as the IDF. Whereas Israeli extremists will be ecstatic at Trump’s latest statement, I am sure he will soon be faced with very uncomfortable truths, including a possible indictment for promoting genocide.
Thank goodness for your sane comment amongst so many mindless, ignorant ones!
At the current rate of immigration and birth rates white Britons cheering on the Z’s clearance of the Ps from their homelands may come to realise they have much in common with the Ps as they become a minority in their own country.
You seem to be the only one here (or as far as I’ve read) who understands what’s going on. I do not like the Daily Sceptic’s stance on this issue. I am horrified by Trump and his actions, but also, of course, by Netanyahu. BTW, I am definitely not antisemitic, but I am anti-Zionist and killing of humans.
You must be relatively new on here or at least not read the many pro Israeli articles. Believe me, as far as this one goes it’s pretty neutral fare.
One sliver of hope is the relatively few number of downticks against CGW and others.
Maybe that’s because some are opening their eyes at last.
I’m an old timer with DS, but gave up subscribing a year or two ago and therefore mostly can’t comment. Occasionally, I am so driven by an article that I pay £5 just so that I can comment and of course that lasts me a month. I’m in one of those months now. Yes, I’ve seen all the pro-Israel stuff. It almost tempts me, at times, to give up on DS, but there’s other useful stuff in their emails. I mostly only read the headlines. My go-to for news is UK Column, but I also subscribe to Miri AF and occasionally watch James Delingpole’s podcasts. I have tried to cut down on my intake. Also, I read Don Hanks’s daily emails.
I sincerely hope the relatively few downticks is a sign of opening eyes. How can people continue to turn blind eyes to the frightful stuff being done in this area? I am a Christian but am particularly shocked at the bad Bible teaching that excuses Netanyahu’s appalling policies. In other words, I am not a Zionist.
I must admit that I’ve been tempted to stop solely because of its shocking pro IDF.stance.
I keep going mainly because in a bizarre way I’m both horrified and fascinated by the sheer hatred towards Palestine shown by some on here. Helps me understand how proper wars start.
And I always thought the British supported the downtrodden underdog….
Not all Brits are pro-Israel (ie Zionist).
do you watch UK Column? You might find them more to your taste.
Take care.
Might be slightly embarrassing for those countries that have now ‘recognised’ “Palestine” as a country. But since the only solution the “Palestinians” want is to eliminate Israel, and the U.S. is not going to let that happen, this seems a sensible and viable long term solution.
Well, we tried all kinds of things for 70 years and got nowhere except a massive loss of life on both sides. Why not take the discussion to a new plane.?
My goodness the language of the psychopath with complete lack of awareness. The way he just says out loud what they all want anyway and that they hate him for it like he is ruining the fun. It is quite funny when you read the establishment reactions.
Will – any chance of even a sentence of context to go with “a territory devastated by Israeli bombardment”?
In response to a disgusting unprovoked territory attack, and which could have been stopped at any moment by … handing back the hostages…
It’s not rocket science.
Down ticks from the jew haters – a mark of pride.
The flak is thickest when you’re over the target.
That is ignorance. You apparently hate the Palestinians instead? I try not to hate either Jews or Palestinians. God created us all!
A simple question: how many Israelis have been killed by Palestinians and how many Palestinians have been killed by Israelis since, say, the year 2000?
From the beginning of 2000 to the end of 2022, Palestinians killed approximately 1,106 Israelis according to data from B’Tselem (https://www.btselem.org/), an Israeli human rights organization.
In the same period, Israeli forces and settlers killed approximately 10,712 Palestinians.
In other words, in the above 23 years Israel killed 10 Palestinians for every Israeli killed. That ratio has increased dramatically since October 7, with Israel killing at least 46 Palestinians for every Israeli who has died.
And what about hostages?
In the same 23 years, Palestinians took at least 19 Israelis hostage, while Israelis imprisoned tens of thousands of Palestinians.
In total, since 1967, over 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned by Israel at some point, according to Palestinian estimates.
(Source: https://sonar21.com/when-it-comes-to-terrorism-israel-beats-hamas/)
So just who is suffering from whom in the wonderful State of Israel? Jews or Palestinians?
In addition, the Palestinians imprisoned by Israel are treated hideously. There are photos comparing releases Israeli hostages with Palestinians released by Israel – the Israeli hostages look well, cheerful,; the Palestinians look emaciated, bowed, covered with marks. If I put the link here it may not fit as it’s very long.
Disgusting unprovoked territory attack: yes, those damn Palestinians had the nerve to escape from their Gaza prison.
Handing back the hostages: at what point did Israel ever ask Hamas to negotiate about the hostages? All Netanyahu did was have the Hamas negotiators assassinated.
The Israeli public was shocked at how healthy and happy the first released hostages appeared. And Netanyahu had heart trouble because it was clear they could have been released so much earlier if anyone in the Israeli government had wanted it. The hostages thanked Hamas for protecting them all that time from the Israeli attacks!
Whatever else it is (and of course it’s perfectly feasible, and if the f###cking Palestinians weren’t such utter c##nts they’d have done it themselves) it’s a superb piece of trolling.
Why has there been crickets since Trump announced his plan to push the Palestinians off their land, redevelop the land and make it nirvana?
It just proves the Israeli government’s plan to exterminate all Palestinians or eliminate them from their own land has succeeded. If Churchill had known that the Israelis would take over all of Palestine, I think he would regret allowing them to have had part of it.
