Trump Attacks Starmer’s Decision to Abandon North Sea Oil – BBC Has Meltdown
A 17-word tweet by Donald Trump has sent the BBC into apoplexy!
His eminently sensible message on Truth Social read:

Where’s BBC Verify when you need them?
Defund the British Broadcasting Commentariat.
BBC delenda est.
Shouldn’t that be delenda est BBC? I’d just turn it into a subscription channel.
I think enough of us are slowly doing that. After a bit of resistance, my partner finally agreed that we would cancel our TV license, and it hasn’t affected us at all.
The TV licence/BBC scheme is perhaps the biggest gaslighting operation ever conducted
The problem as with all gaslighting is that once you see what’s going on, it makes you almost physically sick.
I would like to submit “BBC Verify” as an entry for oxymoron of the year
Here’s a link to a Daily Sceptic piece I wrote a while ago about the huge number of new airports being built around the world. The whole world is laughing as the UK commits economic Net Zero suicide:
https://staging.dailysceptic.org/2024/05/03/as-the-world-takes-off-net-zero-britain-stays-grounded/?highlight=david%20craig
You ain’t seen nothing yet
For most people all this net-zero stuff is still pretty academic, most people I know still drive petrol/diesel cars, their homes are warm, the only power cuts they have had are due to storm damage and they can afford to jet off for a holiday now and again. If you have eyes to see what is coming it is clear that all this is under threat but if you just live for the day then currently everything is OK.
Until net-zero starts to hit people hard where it hurts, the net-zero globalists will be able to continue their sinister endeavours.
Spot on , that chart is depressing, no coal or oil powered generation anymore !
It’s difficult to know what’s going through the tiny minds of our politicians sometimes. Usually they go out of their way to be popular with the electorate, but when a prime minister stands up in parliament and announces the final closure of Heathrow airport, do they think people are going to applaud? Are they that detached from reality? Perhaps they are hoping for some Deus ex machina to save them like artificial fossil fuels, or that the propaganda will be so ubiquitous that everyone will be convinced they don’t want to go to Tenerife or have a warm house any more. Or maybe it’s just another example of the madness of crowds.
Just check out the large number of fly-away exotic holiday stories in the MSM, including the Grauniad, with commenters drooling over their recent experiences.. Hypocrisy writ large.
You are right. We need change.
Only ReformUK is committed to stopping this suicidal destruction of livelihoods, jobs and economy.
The BBC needs deracinating.
Good new word!
The BBC, Guardian and similar mouthpieces for the climate scam ought to be referred to the EHCR for crimes against Useful Idiots.
Those same UIs need therapy to control their trigger responses to “Trump”, “Farage”, “Truss”, “fossil fuel”, etc. I’ve seen it happen to supposedly intelligent people. It’s not pretty.
Could someone claim offence at the propaganda and request the Police to raise Non Crime Hate Incidents against the organisations or their individual journalists? It seems to me that it ought to be possible to to apply the same quelling of free speech to those ‘on the left’.
In reality I don’t expect it would ‘pass the threshold’ but it might devalue the use of NCHIs.
Might be worth a try. The cabinet is pretty much committing treason for the wilful destruction of our jobs, security and safety. Failure to secure our borders, provide sufficient power at a reasonable price…..our worst enemy couldn’t do better.
The pendulum is swinging back and the globalists do not care for it.
Basically, in the eyes of the BBC, Trump is far-right racist, sexist, climate-denier scum. Everything he says or does is shown with derision, scorn, contempt, in the worst possible light, with extreme prejudice, bias and ridicule.
If Britain went bankrupt as a result of net zero madness, with broken economy, people freezing to death, general shortages, whilst the US under Trump enjoyed general prosperity, wealth and low energy prices, even then all you would hear from the BBC is how catastrophically wrong and immoral he is.
It is disingenuous to quote percentages when a lot of effort is going into shutting down conventional power generation. The percentage of wind will increase without any further windmills being built as gas and coal are run down.
Um yes probably, but the result will be severe power cuts. Millibrain should have the gas cut off to Westminster next, and see how the MP’s like it. There certainly is not sufficient electrical supply in that area to power the enormous heat pump all the Government buildings! They will probably spend £500 million on that next, and another billion to reinforce the electricity suppy!
I was with a group of 8 or 9 people yesterday and the subject of Net Zero came up. Almost all were clued up about matters such as the electricity grid not being able to cope with a large increase in electric vehicles and that heat pumps are a bit of a nonsense. They were also conscious that things would get more expensive due to the regime’s Net Zero policies. They also appreciated that industry closing in the UK due to high energy costs will not reduce C02 emissions or pollution as it shifts to countries such as India and China.
The big problem, however, is that all of them are convinced that C02 is the primary driver of climate and that the earth is encountering catastrophic warming entirely due to man’s burning of carbon fuels. The propaganda and indoctrination has proved successful – so even though they query some of the effects of the Net Zero policies, they completely accept that “things must be done”. There is still alot of work to do to convince people that the whole show is a giant scam intent on impoverishing them.
I have similar conversations with many of my (ostensibly) highly educated and intelligent friends. I’ve started saying to them very bluntly that their wealthy, privileged status currently innoculates them from the communist threats looming over us. However, once the problems start encroaching on their own lives, they may feel differently. As I have long said, socialism is an affectation of the rich…
Very useful feedback.
How do we wake people up to the scam? There’s several films out there that clearly show it is a hoax but the propaganda is still sticking.
”According to a new report, wind energy generated 29% of the U.K.’s power in 2024.”
I think it should more correctly say ”UK electricity generation” instead of ‘power’. UK imports a huge amount of electricity, mostly from Norway and France. The ghastly Ember expect the UK to become a net exporter of electricity by 2030, but goodness knows who to. NB: Power does not include residential/industrial heating gas or non-electric transportation fuels.
But surely a contender for the most absurd statement of the year is this gem:
😂 😂 Plus it’s only the 5th January. Plenty more to come I’d imagine. Do they actually believe what they say?
Why doesn’t the BBC just stand for election? It seems to have firm definitive political beliefs of its own on more issues than Reform does at the moment.
I note that the table of GB power generation does not include interconnectors bringing energy generated elsewhere into the country or supplying others – unless of course, that’s encompassed in the ‘other’ category. Another possibility is that interconnector power generated in France using nuclear power is simply added in to the ‘nuclear’ line… but I very much doubt it.
I realise this is a table of power generation and not ‘demand’ but the two should average out to be quite close if interconnectors are taken in to consideration. It also does not have a total so we can’t easily track how demand is going up due to stuff like EVs or down due to loss of industry or improvements in insulation and other efficiency.
The “past year” tab here shows averages for past year National Grid: Live
Interconnectors were net 12.6%, mainly from France who presumably have a surplus as their base load is almost all from nuclear so any wind or solar they have then can sell to us, and mainly-hydro Norway.
This one https://grid.iamkate.com/ is quite useful. It does not state what the source is at the other end of interconnection supplies, although you’re right that almost all export from France will be nuclear.
Thanks JohnK and transmissionofflame.
I’m rather surprised that demand in 2012 was 36.5GW (I assume that’s an all day every day average?) and that had gone down to 30.1 GW in 2024. I wonder whether that was due to more insulation or less industry or people just generally being more abstemious because of the price? Or will they claim we need less heating now because of global boiling?
No surprise that the average is higher for the first few days of 2025.
“… “windmills” are pretty important right now for keeping the U.K.’s lights on.”
So gas power, nuclear power can now be shut down. But… why do we keep having to import electricity from Norway and France “to keep the lights on” if windmills are doing that?
Keep North Sea Oil
So we run down North Sea oil but we will surely still import oil and gas from elsewhere…
“He has blamed turbines for killing whales and for causing serious harm to human health and he did so without offering a shred of credible evidence.”
He forgot to mention the millions of birds that have been killed by these abominations.
Windmills from now on chaps! Mind you that is what I was calling them too.
Actually it’s the BBC who sneer at the rest of us if we don’t subscribe to their brainwashing
If there was 29% of “free” wind electricity why are our bills going up all the time and we have the most expensive energy in the developed World? I have yet to hear Millibrain answer this simple question! Alleged renewables produce the most expensive energy, most inefficiently, that is why! They are far from “greener” and the intermittency should be a cost to the supplier but it is thrown on the the 24/7 operators. Mad or what?
The BBC mixes up the meaning of power, energy and electricity.
Our wind turbines that are actually connected to the grid produce about 7% of our electricity needs p.a.And as already pointed out, nothing frequently, when there is no wind. Natural gas that heats our homes and powers the Gas turbine electricity generators most days produces 75% of our energy and close to 50% of our electricity needs. Wind turbines are obscenely expensive and totally unnecessary and unreliable.
We are heading for blackouts and the only good thing about it is it will shut up the BBC .
