Channel Migrant Crossings Surge by a Third Under Starmer Despite Pledge to “Smash the Gangs”
Keir Starmer oversaw almost a third more migrants crossing the Channel in small boats last year despite his pledge to “smash the gangs“, new Home Office statistics have revealed. The Telegraph has the story.
Since the Prime Minister’s first day in office on July 5th and the end of 2024, some 23,242 migrants arrived on small boats – up 29% on the same months in 2023.
The increase came after Sir Keir scrapped the Tory plan to send asylum seekers who crossed the English Channel without permission to Rwanda, instead putting focus on “smashing” the smuggling gangs.
The number of small boat crossings also rose in the first six months of 2024 when Rishi Sunak was prime minister, though by a smaller degree than seen under Sir Keir.
It means 2024 saw the second highest number of migrants arriving on small boats on record.
Only 2022 saw a greater number of arrivals.
Chris Philp, the Shadow Home Secretary, said Labour had “totally failed on illegal immigration by small boat”.
He added: “Numbers have sky-rocketed since the election. Over three times more illegal immigrants crossed in December compared to last year – an insult to the British people. Labour has lost control of our borders.”
Richard Tice, the Reform Deputy Leader, said: “It’s quite clear that far from smashing the gangs, it’s only getting worse under Labour.
“Labour needs to start putting British people first and not allowing our borders to be at the whim of the weather.”
Some 36,816 people made the journey in 2024, a jump of 25% from the 29,437 who arrived in 2023, according to provisional figures from the Home Office.
The leadership of the country during the period was split, with Mr. Sunak being Prime Minister for the first six months of the year before Sir Keir took over in July.
But under Sir Keir, the number of migrants arriving on small boats in 2024 compared with the same months in 2023 rose 29%. Under Mr. Sunak, the rise was 19%.

Somebody clearly thinks that Starmer’s Britain is worth coming to, unlike the enterprising Brits who are deserting in droves
The worrying thing about the graph above is that in most years the onset of winter has seen a decline in the rate of arrival, whereas this year it has continued on an upward trend (what they called an exponential increase when they were trying to scare us all about Covid).

Smash the gangs was never more than a soundbite. The gangs, insofar there are any, are operating in France and in the English channel. Starmer has no way to make them do anything or stop them from doing anything there. And he’s certainly also not planning to set up a coastal defense system which could tackle them when making landfall.
It seems none of the dinghies have ever actually crossed the English Channel on their own, because they are unseaworthy, overloaded with parasites, so an English coastal defence system wouldn’t stop them. They are ALL escorted by the French from just off the French coast to a little way into the English Channel, then handed over to British “rescue ships” that have launched from England, travelling all the way across the English Channel to the coast of France in order to “rescue” the Invading Muslim Army.
Just like Dunkirk, but bringing Enemy Troops back to England, instead of rescuing our own in WW2. Everyone manning those “rescue boats”, whether British or French, is a disgusting traitor.
I firmly believe that our Treacherous Establishment has agreed a secret deal with the EU/France that “we’ll take our fair share.”
For the sake of appearances the Uni-Party-Government pretends it wants to stop them, and Macron pretends he is trying.

Just like Rishi kusumak, Stormer says he wants to stop the boats. Many on the left think he will do it by providing safe and legal routes for people fleeing conflicts. So potentially millions of people from places like Sudan be flown here by Labour. Thank you all those who voted for them.

And above is the response to the loss of council seats from the Labour robot – droning on as usual about the pretend black hole etc. The worrying thing is the droid saying there is still more to wreck in 2025. Everything is going up under Labour except economic growth.

It is getting wild and violent out there. British cities have been nasty for a while but it is really messed up now. Not just rough looking characters but many who look mentally deranged and even the prey animals look so diseased that they might put the predators off touching them. What a way to go.
But as the Reform party and Migration Watch keep pointing out, “Legal Migration” from the Third World is even more damaging than the illegal dinghies. Who knew that the much-vaunted “Trade Deal with India” (who needs that?) is allowing Modi to demand not only more Indian immigration to Britain (who needs that?), but also that all those Indian immigrants will be EXEMPT FROM PAYING NATIONAL INSURANCE !!!

Stating clearly what this means: In exchange for a trade deal, Modi demands that immigrants from India must be given preferred access to the UK labor market. They’re not only supposed to be allowed to come here for work but it’s also supposed to be cheaper to hire them than anybody who’s already living here because they’ll have to pay less income tax than already resident people.
That would be a textbook example of immigration causing wage depression: British citizens may obviously still apply for any job on the UK job market but they must accept that they’d take home less than an Indian immigrant also applying because they’ll have to pay more tax.
This comes on top of the fact that immigrants from India have full voting rights the moment they legally set foot onto British soil because India was a British colony 76 years ago¹.
¹ A bit oversimplified. India belongs to the countries whose citizens have full voting rights in the UK because of “international treaties which say so” (the Commonwealth of Nations has meanwhile members which weren’t ever part of the Empire).
