”Meeting a man from the motor trade” The Global Times is reporting on the links between China and Hungary with the production of Electric Cars (EVs); https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202412/1325556.shtml The motor industry seems to be falling apart at a rapid rate of knots as discussed by MGUY ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNRFC4ISCek There is discussion about how the UK will start to look like Cuba as people hang on to their petrol/diesel (ICE) cars, apparently the average age of a car in the UK is now 9.4 years compared to 6.6 years in 2003. Although somehow I suspect that Miliband will not stand for this and will find ways to ‘drive’ ICE cars off the road. Some have likened Chinese EVs to Smart-phones on wheels as they are dependent on complex electronics and like so many domestic electronics they are being scrapped when they go wrong or get damaged. Can the UK re-cycling industry cope with a mountain of discarded Chinese EVs? The cheap Chinese EVS that are coming to the UK will be low range and for most people will only be suitable for local utility travel, this could have a huge impact on many aspects of our lives. Yes one of he joys of my 12 year old vehicle is that is neither upgrades its software every time I switch it on, nor does it inform me that it’s changing its fuckxng terms of service every second day and demands that I acknowledge something I’ve never read. I get in. It starts. We drive.

Well it would be rather embarassing if they were actually shot down by Houti anti aircraft action, wouldn’t it?
But there are reports that this is indeed what occurred, however who knows what the truth is when it comes to American operations?
