Musk Backs Reform After Meeting Farage at Trump’s Home
Elon Musk has backed Reform U.K. after meeting Nigel Farage at Donald Trump’s home in Florida, tweeting his agreement that “Britain needs Reform”. The Telegraph has the story.
Mr. Musk – who will play a key role in the incoming Trump administration – showed his support for the party after an hour-long meeting at Mar-a-Lago.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Farage, the Reform leader, uploaded a photograph of him and Nick Candy, the Reform Treasurer, meeting the Tesla billionaire, with the caption: “Britain needs Reform.”
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, the social media platform he has owned since 2022, Mr. Musk replied: “Absolutely.”
The apparent endorsement is a major boost for Reform, which is now polling at around 20% and has attracted a significant increase in support since the General Election.
In a statement, Mr. Farage and Mr. Candy said: “We had a great meeting with Elon Musk for an hour yesterday. We learned a great deal about the Trump ground game and will have ongoing discussions on other areas. We only have one more chance left to save the West, and we can do great things together.
“Our thanks also to President Trump for allowing us to use Mar-a-Lago for this historic meeting. The special relationship is alive and well.” …
There have been rumours that [Musk] could donate as much as $100 million to Reform.
Worth reading in full.
Farage has written in the Telegraph about his meeting with Musk.
Musk was very generous with his time, and I was particularly fascinated to listen as he explained his organisation of the ground campaign that took place in the seven key swing states.
There is little doubt that Musk’s contribution to the scale of the Trump victory is not to be underestimated. I have come home with copious notes of how they increased the turnout, voter registration and so much more, and all of this I intend to implement as part of the professionalisation of our party.
It is also heartening to listen to Elon speak about U.K. politics with such deep care. He regards the mother country of the English-speaking world as being in very deep trouble.
He described the Labour and Conservative parties as the uniparty, and left us in no doubt that he is right behind us.
Inevitably, following such intense media speculation, the issue of money was discussed, and there will be ongoing negotiations on that score.
The Telegraph adds that the U.K.’s draconian Online Safety Act is a key concern for Musk and Trump:
The Telegraph understands that Mr. Musk has significant concerns about the U.K.’s Online Safety Act, which requires social media companies including X – which he owns – to regulate their content.
Scrapping or amending the legislation may become a key request of Mr. Trump when he enters trade negotiations with Britain next year.
Mr. Trump’s team has warned that the U.K. must choose between a closer trade relationship with either the U.S. or the EU, suggesting that talks could end with tariffs of up to 20% on U.K. exports if the incoming President is not placated.

Oh dear…..that sort of money could buy whole TV/radio companies and run Podcasts 24/7, not just a few adds…..
I’m a big fan of Farage and of Musk, but I am still queasy about the idea of such a wall of money pouring into British politics.
Long term I see only trouble.
As opposed to the wall of money being thrown at the Narrative from other oligarchs and Corporates?
In an ideal world this wouldn’t happen of course, but it isn’t that world.
It already pours in. Dale Vince and Lord Ali haven’t exactly been subtle about the influence it buys them. Still not 100% about reform but at least they’re pissing people off with some inconvenient questions.
But I agree. I don’t want UK politics to become a question of how much donor funding they receive.
I agree, money alone is fine, money with strings attached is not. Reform already faces an unholy alliance of existing parties and the MSM, they will have a field day attacking Musk money.
Also worth noting: the Trump campaign spent one-third of what was spent by the Harris campaign.
Money helps pay for the organisational structure but it’s the right message and public support that counts.
And Reform UK on a shoe-string has made big gains – it has that support.
So what do you think Gates has been doing?
Money has been pouring into British politics since tte war – some have just not noticed.
We don’t have democracy. Democracy does not require political Parties/tribes – it specifically is intended to prevent them and the concentration of power.
Not forgetting that the biggest political funding, the biggest political slush fund comes from tax revenue which is used via the welfare state and a redistributive tax system to fund political campaigns – throwing more money at the sacred NHS, and generally bribing the electorate for votes.
It is used by the incumbents in their budgets and the Opposition in their promises.
This earth-shattering change to British politics has not made it onto the BBC News yet, but I’m sure its just a matter of time…..
No doubt the phrase “far right” will be mentioned somewhere…
‘Adolf Hitler’s Chief of Staff, Elon Musk, had decided to invest ‘far right’ funds into the alt-right-fascist group Reform, which preaches the nazification of Britain through immigration reform and ending open borders. Reform’s gruepenfuehrer Nigel Farage, who is related to Oswald Mosley, said that the Hitlerian money will be used for vigilante groups to lynch non-whites and establish gas camps…’
Who is the cricketer in the painting behind them?
No idea, but there’s a storm brewing in the clouds behind him.
Be careful of Musk. Be very careful. Nothing is ever as it seems with him. He is a master of manipulation.
I’m not being naïve about the nature of the very rich and powerful, and I’m glad that perhaps in the Reform Party, Britain is finally being offered some choice. But I warn you that Musk is very, very dangerous and can very easily turn. I have seen it too many times with him.
Beware the Ids of March.
Ides, surely 😄
What’s that smell?
Oh, Keir-Chings! just crapped his pants.
The Green subsidy harvesters and the goon-squad in the European Commission will by now have realised that there is a high probability of a Reform UK Government led by Nigel Farage by (magic year) 2030. The Green grifters will try and grab as much as they can meanwhile, while the EC blob also must realise whatever agreements they reach with Starmwurstführer will go down the pan if/when the Government changes. I would imagine investors considering pouring money into more wind/solar/subsidy farms and the other Labour boondoggles, will be carefully weighing up the risk of what a Reform UK Government will mean for their investment. The Trump-Effect… Trump above all led a popular revolt, he was a rallying point. Farage is like Trump in the sense he is a high profile rally point, echoing the popular opinions, and for people just fed up with whats being done to them, and being ignored. The Democrats have lost all credibility, Turdeaux in Canada is on the rocks, Macron desperately clinging on in France, the German Government collapsed and the political class trying to exclude the people’s choice the AfD, Britain’s Conservative Party lost all credibility and momentum, Labour simply disintegrating in real-time, economic… Read more »
That would be a great Christmas present.
Don’t forget that Musk owes his billions to being the arch green grifter…
