All the Times David Lammy Has Attacked “Deluded, Dishonest, Xenophobic, Narcissistic” Trump

Foreign Secretary David Lammy has repeatedly criticised Donald Trump, previously describing the U.S. President-Elect as “deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic”. The Telegraph has compiled a full list of his diplomatic blunders that now threaten to undermine the U.K.’s national interest in its dealings with the world’s most powerful country. Here’s a sample.

In February 2017, Mr. Lammy, the Tottenham MP, said he was “ashamed” that the Tory Government had invited the then President Trump to the U.K. for a state visit.

Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate, he said: “Is this great country so desperate for a trade deal that we would throw all of our own history out of the window? We did not do it for Kennedy, Truman or Reagan, but to this man we say ‘please come and we will lay on everything because we are so desperate for your company’.

“I think this country is greater than that. I think my children deserve better than that. I think my daughter deserves better than that. I am ashamed, frankly, that it has come to this.” …

Mr. Trump eventually declined the invitation in June 2017 because of British public anger at the proposed visit. …

Mr. Lammy had been highly critical of Mr. Trump during a meeting on the fringes of the 2017 Labour Party conference in Brighton, condemning him over his handling of the march of far-Right and white-nationalist groups in August that year in Charlottesville, which saw one person killed.

In comments reported at the time by the Daily Mail, he said that he would protest against Mr. Trump coming to the U.K., adding: “If I have to chain myself to the door of No. 10 this black man will do it.” …

In 2018, Mr Lammy slammed Mr. Trump for cancelling a visit to a U.S. war cemetery in France to mark the centenary of Armistice Day because of bad weather. Mr. Trump also received a backlash from U.S. voters and politicians over the decision.

The Foreign Secretary warned against “alienating our neighbours in Europe” and falling “into the tiny palm of America’s wannabe despot”. …

In 2019, Mr. Lammy compared Mr. Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan with comments made in a speech by Adolf Hitler in 1940.

Mrs May rescheduled a state visit for Mr. Trump two years after the initial plans fell through, reports of which emerged in April 2019.

The event did go ahead, between June 3rd and 5th, with Mr. Trump meeting Queen Elizabeth II at a ceremonial welcome at Buckingham Palace and a state banquet being held.

Mr. Lammy urged Mrs May to rethink the renewed invitation, writing: “Deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic, Donald Trump is no friend of Britain. He is not fit to hold public office, let alone worthy of our country’s highest honours and a banquet with the Queen. Theresa May is selling out the U.K. to a serial liar and a cheat.”

Mr. Lammy shared an interview conducted with PoliticsJoe, the news site, at a protest against Mr. Trump’s U.K. visit.

He praised the protesters having “stuck two fingers up” to Mr. Trump, and having “put balloons up”, in apparent reference to the “Trump baby” inflatable used at the march.

“deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic”.

Projection, much?

An empty taxi pulled up and David Lammy got out.

I am tired of hearing of the outbursts of this racist, xenophobic, imperialist, colonialist, unintelligent, dictator-in-training.

Please change the channel.

David Lamey is a testament to Starmfuhrer’s lack of good judgement political or otherwise.

Starmfuhrer is so detached from all that goes on around him that he is oblivious to the shortcomings of anyone, anything and any of his Far Left policies to the degree that he has declared Lamey to be Foreign Secretary and doubled-down on his self-detachment by declaring Lamey to be Foreign Secretary forever.

Maybe please just turn off the TV forever. There is only so much third-party Far Lefft stupidity my brain can cope with and this shows no signs of abating.

Will the last to leave please do not forget to switch off the lights.

Aha, no need. Another David is already making sure that will happen – David Minibrained.

It’s good to hear such insightful comments from Lammy-the-Lamentable. And I’d just like to say how wonderful Lammy-the-Lamentable is. Indeed, Lammy-the-Lamentable is one of the greatest intellects to grace the position of Foreign Secretary. Every word of Lammy-the-Lamentable is a brilliant, never-before-heard gem.

He’s obviously a bit of a fool. But it’s not as if the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom makes a difference in any meaningful way to anything. So apart from him embarrassing himself and perhaps his political party, this is just a big shrug. He might embarrass us as a country, except Starmer and the Labour Party as a collective already do that pretty well without him.

At this point, does anyone think the US regards the UK as anything other than a slightly sad, decaying country with a faint whiff of former greatness? A bit like one of those Earls or Barons that knock about in the House of Lords. Teetering on the edge of irrelevance, treated with a modicum of respect for what they represent and once were, but barely…

I doubt it will make much practical difference to how the US deals with us.

It does make me chuckle though – looking at recent news coverage the comments from Lammy and others are along the lines of “this is old news” – well it’s also current news, “it’s in the past” (implying they may now regret those statements) – well yes it’s in the past in that it happened – and “almost everyone has insulted Trump so….” – well of course if you do something that might have been ill-judged it’s fine as everyone else was doing it.

The worse thing is that the only restraint to their mindlessly attacking Trump is their institutional position. They haven’t even realised that it doesn’t quite carry the social kudos it used to. Like that idiot Rory Stewart they don’t quite understand what’s going on.

Not sure that’s quite true in terms of intelligence and special forces capabilities are still respected.

But lammy the lamentable is just lamentable and sorry, but I do find it excruciatingly embarrassing to be represented on the world stage by lamentable and 2 tier free gear sir kneel.

We are better than that.

Absolutely spot on. By any measure Kneel’s government is at the very least embarrassing.

All of them. I have yet to hear one sensible comment, even from my MP. He is Chief Secretary to the Treasury and has previously appeared fairly bright. But now he is kneeling to stalin because he might be leader quite soon, the reign cannot last much longer.

There are plenty like Lammy. Perhaps he and Rory Stewart can lead a self-help group for the self-righteous to confront all the wicked and confused people that don’t appreciate their virtue and vision of the prefect world they’d like to create for us.

I do wish that this thicker than a whales Rodger would chain himself to a large concrete bollard and throw himself off London Bridge. He could take ‘Dawn of the dumb as dogs hit’ with him for company.

All the lefty insults eg fascist ,nazi, homophobe etc have ,similar to the F word, lost their sting through over usage and more reflect an inability to engage in discussion but more to default to insult and smear.

“All the lefty insults … have, similar[ly] to the F word, lost their sting”

But are still cathartic. Through their use one can instantly feel better.

Let’s just say, either mr. Lammy turns down the rhetoric, or he may be replaced by a more diplomatic politician? President Trump won the election fair and square mr. Lammy, accept it and move on.

In Lammy’s own words “he is not fit to hold public office”. If the cap fits – wear it!
Trump wore his MAGA hat with pride and determination and captured the kingdom.
Lammy should bow out wearing his dunce’s cap as a reminder of his failure to read public opinion, which Trump does instinctively. Lammy reads the room but it is an echo chamber occupied only by a far left clique of loonies and luvvies with their virtue signalling and luxury beliefs.
Our elected politicians are meant to represent US, the people, not their own narcissistic reflections!

President Elect Tump has spent the last few years dealing with Kamala so knows how to deal with Lamy’s rants and outpourings.

Lets hope they meet in the future, that would be worth watching. how much grovelling do you think Lamy would have to do?
