‘Intersectional Politics of Queer Activism’: Some of the Worst PhDs the Taxpayer is Funding

Who’s looking forward to today’s Budget, where Rachel Reeves will set out her plan to fill the nation’s £22 billion funding black hole?

To cheer readers of the Daily Sceptic, in addition to my other articles about colossal amounts of taxpayer waste, I thought I’d give 10 examples of current PhDs Brits have been charged for.

To read the rest of this article, you need to donate at least £5/month or £50/year to the Daily Sceptic, then create an account on this website. The easiest way to create an account after you’ve made a donation is to click on the ‘Log In’ button on the main menu bar, click ‘Register’ underneath the sign-in box, then create an account, making sure you enter the same email address as the one you used when making a donation. Once you’re logged in, you can then read all our paywalled content, including this article. Being a Donor will also entitle you to comment below the line and access the premium content in the Sceptic, our weekly podcast. A one-off donation of at least £5 will also entitle you to the same benefits for one month. You can donate here.

There are more details about how to create an account, and a number of things you can try if you’re already a donor – and have an account – but cannot access the above perks on our Premium page.

I think I should apply to do a PhD in the emergence of word salad as an exponential growth indicator of non-binary carbon dioxide in the global dimension.

PhD = Pretty Happy Dudes, Piling it on High and Deep.
Largely a waste of time in most cases. Increasingly the case with many degrees.
Goal – Industries being created.
Funding being made permanent.
Anti-reality being promoted.
Or as Kuhn called it, ‘paradigms’, established by power, money, not ‘science’.
I doubt the medieval invention of the University had such degradation and stupidity in their business plans.

Good one, will use that if you don’t mind. I find real Painters to be quite useful, especially the tall ones. Not sure about most PhD’s. We are wallowing in abstract b.s. models and theories about nothing.

Here are some from my thoughts that perhaps the above Universities could add to their Phd programmes

  1. The role of Noddy and Big ears in the evolution of intersectional vegetarianism
  2. How the Ryvita has impacted the international LGBT+ community in the Galapagos
  3. Barney the Dinosaur and Gender neutrality in the works canteens in Singapore
  4. The effect of flushing the toilet between the sexes and its impact upon the climate
  5. I can’t believe its not Butter, why? the impact of Buttery products on the developing brain of the meerkat in western society.

No funding for you, as you haven’t addressed the urgent need for ‘decolonising’ in any of your proposals.

Decolonizing cabbage: I plan to study how the act of planting greens by black transfeminists in suburban allotments in the capital of Nigeria helps to uncover hidden black narratives which support queer deconstruction of putatively English vegetable storylines.

I suggest something along the lines of

Devoured! How the cannibalization of the black majority population by the empire to sustain its looter economy symbolically resonates to this day in the structurally racist habit of white people to eat foreign ‘black’ cabbage.

My thesis aims to explore the possibilities of challenging and even subverting the hegemonising representations of asylum seekers and refugees in such highly bio/necro-political spaces in contemporary narratives

A fascinating collection of the magical incantations – “hegemonising”, “narratives”, “bio/necro political spaces”, “challenging”, “subverting” – that the marxo-fascists are addicted to. But note there’s no “studying” or “describing” – i.e. it’s soaked in contemporary New Dark Age political activism masquerading as the pursuit of knowledge.

Proposed PhD thesis that’s sorely missing (likely without any chance of getting funded): I’m planning to do some experimental, linguistic research into possible avenues for translating AHRC-sponsored PhD thesises into actually meaningful English.

I don’t know it is like an exercise in self-abasement and a competition to see who is the most abased at every level. It is an effective strategy because all it takes is one disruotive element and then the certainty that most employees at every level of the bureaucracy will go along with anything for a quiet life. It is a worm-like energy and I don’t see anything Aryan about it.

Ahead of her Budget, Reeves has promised there won’t be a “return to austerity”.
Increasing taxation will increase the likelihood or genuine austerity as more money is extracted from those producing wealth.
