Migrants in Meloni’s Albanian Camp Must be Returned to Italy Because Egypt and Bangladesh are “Not Safe”, Court Rules in Major Blow to Scheme
An Italian court has dealt a major blow to Giorgia Meloni’s £557 million plan to send migrants to Albania by ruling that they cannot remain there and must all be brought back to Italy because Egypt and Bangladesh are “not safe countries”. The Telegraph has more.
The first group of 16 Egyptian and Bangladeshi men arrived at the facilities in northern Albania on Wednesday at the start of what had been hailed as an innovative new way of dealing with Europe’s illegal migration crisis. The model was being closely watched by other European countries, including Britain.
The 16 men were rescued in the central Mediterranean this month but instead of being shipped to Italian shores, as has happened with tens of thousands of migrants and refugees, they were transported to the Adriatic coast of Albania in an Italian navy ship.
A bilateral accord drawn up by Rome and Tirana last year envisages migrants being taken to the port of Shengjin in northern Albania and then transported by bus to a brand new facility that was built on a former Albanian air force base dating back to the Cold War, next to the village of Gjader, about 15 miles inland.
There they are meant to have their asylum requests assessed. Under the plan, they would be either deemed genuine refugees fleeing war or persecution, in which case they will be sent to Italy, or economic migrants, in which case they should be sent back to their home countries.
The conservative coalition run by Ms. Meloni had hoped that the system could handle as many as 36,000 migrants and refugees a year.
But a ruling on Friday by a court in Rome has now thrown the entire five-year scheme, estimated to cost €670 million (£557 million), into doubt.
The court ruled that the migrants cannot be sent back to Bangladesh and Egypt because they are not safe countries.

Dictatorship by Judges
The courts are in cahoots with the globalists.
Or maybe the people who made the laws are the globalists, and the problem are the laws.
In modern society people don’t pay the slightest bit of attention to the enactment of new laws.
And really, it’s not surprising. There are hundreds of them, each with mountains of additional regulations stemming from them. It’s literally impossible to keep up.
That’s why we don’t really live in a democracy. We have no clue what the people who hold power (some of them elected by us) are up to. Not a clue.
Bilderberg Group is a prime example.
Most of the terrible stuff they do is done in plain sight. But nobody pays any attention because of the sheer volume of stuff going on and the complexity of it.
The modern state is a massive complex web of laws, regulations and institutions that nobody fully grasps. The different parts are captured by the people who work in it and the corporations and intereste who have the resources to.
Ordinary people are clueless to the whole scam except for the odd occasion when a scandal bubbles up and then quuckly simmers down again, because it’s just impossible to do anything anyway.
The only credible threat to extra-parliamentary government which is outside of the democratic process is the military, and the risk of patriotic, decent commanders sending in the troops to round up the traitorous swine.
Which is why that had to be captured too.
Exactly. The Globalists want to set up a Global Kritocracy = Rule by Judges.
And here’s today’s example of Two-Tier Judges:
Activists who hurled fake blood over Queen Victoria Memorial criticised for ‘arrogance’ by judge
“Louis McKechnie, 23, Christopher Bennett, 33, Riley Ings, 27, Claire Smith, 26, and Rachel Steele, 48, of Animal Rebellion, were convicted of causing £7,080 of damage to the Queen Victoria Memorial water feature in London in August 2021.
The dye turned the water red to “create the impression of a bloodbath” and stained the stonework of the Grade I listed fountain in front of the royal London residence, prosecutors said.
Police forcibly removed the protesters and it took 64 hours to clean the fountain.”
Ringleader Bennett, “who appeared via video link from HMP Peterborough, where he is serving a one-and-a-half-year prison sentence for causing a public nuisance, was handed an 18-MONTH CONCURRENT SENTENCE.”
“The other four were given 18-MONTH JAIL SENTENCES, SUSPENDED FOR TWO YEARS. McKechnie, Ings and Smith were ordered to pay £500 in compensation, and Steele £1,000 in compensation.”
So none of the Leftists went to jail for criminal damage.
These judges should be sacked.
Sacked, indeed.
But there are some crimes against society which need to be dealt with more forcibly, to “encourage the others”.
I have always opposed the death penalty, because of well known miscarriage of justice cases and the risk of Government malice.
I now think that this issue MUST be reconsidered.
Both in the case of hubristic and idiotic “protesters” and of virtue signalling globalist “judges”.
No country on earth is 100% safe.
The UK is most definitely not safe, as thousands of young white working class girls know. And quite a few gay men. And a large and growing number of young black men in the cities. And any female who wanders around certain parts of our cities without wearing cover-all garments approved by the men living in those areas.
The Italian judges have over-interpreted the ECJ, just as British judges over-interpret rulings by the ECHR because this is a political issue, not an asylum one.
Mass immigration, by mainly young males from the Muslim world is being imposed on us for political reasons. The EU/ECJ can’t allow Italy to derail it.
Egypt and Bangladesh are safe. How long is this gaslighting going to go on before the people put an end to it. Either by ballot or protest it has to stop.
If Egypt and Bangladesh are not safe I hope the Italian government will ban all commerce with them until they mend their ways. No flights. No investment. No ‘aid’. No tourism. I suspect someone somewhere will then soon decide that they are actually quite safe.
Such countries are judged unsafe by courts yet our government wants more UN committees to tell us what to do and those committees are controlled by such countries.
The UN and it’s committees aren’t safe.
And no doubt some climate related funds going to those countries.
Imagine fleeing Iraq and making your home in Sweden only to return to Iraq many years later because Sweden has become so unsafe. A sad state of affairs; ”An immigrant restaurant owner who fled Iraq 20 years ago has left Sweden and returned to his home country because of the violent crime he faced in his Stockholm suburb. I moved to Sweden because it was a safe country. Now I’m moving from Sweden because it’s not safe anymore. The man, speaking under the alias ‘Amin,’ said in an inrerview with Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter that he was the object of threats and violent attacks by criminal gangs and was forced to pay them to avoid harassment. Amin came to Sweden after the U.S. invasion of Iraq, started a business, got married, and had children. But his successful restaurant was threatened by growing criminal activity in the area. A drug cartel began to extort business owners, typically demanding $1,000-5,000 per month to ‘protect’ them. Businesses that refused to pay suffered vandalism and threats. ”Imagine how it feels if you work ten hours a day. And then some disgusting person comes and threatens you and says nasty things to you,” Amin said. Refusing to give up his hard-earned money,… Read more »
This quite timely as it torpedoes those who support the policy-lite Nigerian woman who is vying to become leader of HM opposition as opposed to Jenrick who puts the ECHR front and centre. Saying get rid of it is far easier than it will be to do as this outdated rubbish may be written into trade deals along with other nonsense like climate change. And of course there are all the wailing NGOs and the grifting legal leaches to battle against but you can’t solve a problem without first identifying it.
Teresa May pulled the same tricks when she was in charge of the Home Office, refusing to deport a single hostile alien criminal, saying her hands were tied by the courts.
Globalist Meloni is pulling the same Bog-Standard Trick: pretend to take decisive action to stop the importation of a Globalist Mercenary Army of Military Age Men, then say your hands are tied by the courts.
Is anywhere safe?
