Watch: Ukrainian men dragged out of nightclubs by army recruiters ‘I talked with 15 men who, like me, were passing the medical examination from the Military Commissariat. Of them, only one had a letter of acceptance, they already were waiting for him at the State Border Service. Those who came to the Comissariat on their own were few, most were brought there by the police. And I decided to find out what would motivate them to join the Defense Forces. I immediately decided to take the common take that people would be ready to serve if they knew clear deadlines for demobilization. All the men I interviewed rejected this idea, they would not want to serve even a month. Also about the issue of financial support and understanding where exactly you will end up, in which division. According to them, no money pushed them to this decision, and regarding a clear understanding of where exactly you will end up, here it is worth returning to the previous paragraph. After all, they still don’t want to serve. At the same time, some of the men were quite simple, they don’t have smartphones, they don’t follow the news, and for them it… Read more »

Israel is quickly running out of Iron Dome interceptor missiles, military analysts have warned.
The US is rapidly moving to plug gaps in its defences, including by deploying a terminal high-altitude area defence (Thaad) missile system to Israel.
But analysts warned this may not be enough as the US races to supply defensive weapons to both Israel and Ukraine…………………

‘…even as Sergei (not his real name) was recuperating … I love that! And I thought you were writing about the Sergei I know! But why are you trivializing recruitment to a war? A war that is causing hundreds of deaths every day? Many must have heard by now of the Ukrainian press gangs, violently dragging youngsters (and oldsters) off the streets into vans and shipping them off to the front within a ridiculously short time, mostly resulting in immediate death or wounding. Why are you promoting this? The best solution is peace, without question. We should strive for peace and not war. Ukraine had several opportunities to reach a peaceful agreement with Russia but incomprehensibly chose to go to war against a country with a superior military and superior resources. That this insanity was desired and promoted by USA is really no reason for Ukraine’s political capitulation, which is now the cause for presumably well over a million dead and half the population exiting the country. There is now only one solution: complete capitulation and acceptance of whatever Russia decides. Actually, another solution is global destruction by a nuclear exchange between USA and Russia, but let us hope that… Read more »

“History repeats itself twice, first as tragedy then as farce”.

Karl Marx

‘Stalin and Putin share the belief that autocracy, backed by coercion, is the best way to manage Russia.’

‘Putin is now set on hegemony over the Soviet and Romanov empires’

The Soviet and Romanov empires included Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic States, Kazakhstan and, let us not forget, parts of Poland and Manchuria.

So neither of the world’s great powers will permit Putin to win.

This is the future:

‘Putin’s decision is rational – within his own distorted world-view – but it’s a colossal gamble to secure his legacy, change the course of history and restore a Russian empire in this new hi-tech interconnected world.

As this atrocious war and Western sanctions corrode Russian society, Stalinist terror will become essential to Putin’s hold on power.’

Trump tightens gap with Harris in three new national polls

Trump is the bookies favourite at the moment, by some margin.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/betting-odds/2024/president

Amongst other things, that may very well mean a ‘frozen conflict’ in Ukraine, not a bad outcome for the U.S. (though not for Ukraine, Europe) in view of the successful U.S. strategy of weakening Russia, the weakening so continuing.

The historical parallel, though?

Russia invaded Finland 1939. In the end, Finland lost the Karelian Isthmus and had to allow Soviet basing rights at the port of Hango. More than 420,000 Finnish civilians were displaced as a result of the political settlement.

What happened next?

Russia invaded Poland…….

The song is originally from Annie Get Your Gun (1946) by Irving Berlin.

I went for a mastectomy and they offered me assisted dying, Canadian cancer patient reveals
I find this frightening. I would be terrified that, them having raised the subject, I would be casually ‘put to sleep’ instead of operated on, and the corresponding paperwork ‘sorted out’ after. I used to be in favour of assisted dying, having seen two close family members suffer horribly with terminal cancer and beg for oblivion – all they wanted was for the pain to go away. If there had been something simple that they could have taken themselves, and been allowed to take themselves, they would have. Instead one just died in a haze of powerful painkillers, the other took all the pills at their disposal to finish themselves off, but only succeeded in surviving and consequently having all medication removed from their grasp! Doctors killing people isn’t the answer, but then neither is preventing people from killing themselves if their situation is hopeless and agonising.

Please suggest a solution.

Tge State wants to rid itself of troublesome citizens who cost money and generally don’t vote for them. Too often doctors, like all elites, think they know what is best for us.

Too often relatives want to be free of any commitment to the care of the aged and infirm while others want their cash asap.

As with abortion the laws will be adjusted and not adhered to. Moral hazard is extreme.

Badenock will know the BBC is out to destroy her so declining a debate under its supervision is smart. Not only does the left gate her for being black but not a Labour Party supporter they also suspect she will not bend under globalist pressure.

Just as Obama told black men they must support Harris BECAUSE she is (part) black, so the left expect the same racialist alignment here.

The Speccie has a history of promoting its preferred Tory leadership contenders and attacking those it disapproves. They helped Sunak get in and what a triumph that has been.

Quite an extensive round-up of the Telegraph. Very useful behind a pay wall along with the Times and the Speccie.

This is not really good enough DS.

Hasn’t it always been this way though? I think the rest is up to us lot to provide links to articles that aren’t from a single source or behind a stupid paywall. I know there’s ways of getting around that but it’s the principle.

Agreed Mogs. I think we do our best between us though.

I gave up on MSM long before the Scamdemic and certainly will not pay to read it. I doubt many DS subscribers care much for what the Telegraph, Times and Speccie have to say given how badly they have failed to do their job in recent years. It’s no wonder BTL comments in the Round up are so few.

A Sceptic subscriber site drawing its feed from the non sceptic msm – that’s quite an achievement.

Speaking of Columbus, it turns out he was Jewish, apparently. Not sure what significance that has on anything but there it is. I didn’t even know his origins were a mystery;

”MADRID, Oct 13 (Reuters) – The 15th-century explorer Christopher Columbus was a Sephardic Jew from Western Europe, Spanish scientists said on Saturday, after using DNA analysis to tackle a centuries-old mystery.”

Post Covid era https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj-1McRiuz0&list=WL&index=2 by Dr. John Campbell.

A good interview, well worth watching. In particular, from around 23 minutes in, the categorisation of the “jab” as a vaccine is well described in as much as it being worked around the bureaucratic process.

It’s worth noting that the definition of the term “vaccine” has changed over the years, but it is quite likely that this is not well understood by the general public on the one hand, and deliberately used as a marketing tool by certain groups.

Withdrawal of medical treatments supposedly ‘harmful to the climate’ is no doubt a precursor to offering ‘assisted dying’ to asthmatics, diabetics and those with other chronic illness. The fact that these conditions, managed properly are unlikely to shorten one’s life significantly on their own is unlikely to matter.

Kemi Badenoch is the true inheritor of Thatcher’s legacy

This is a nauseating insult to Margaret Thatcher, a devout Protestant Englishwoman who held the post of Prime Minister legally, unlike the shower of ILLEGAL CANDIDATES promoted by the Globalists.

The Law of This Land clearly states that NO CATHOLIC, JEWISH, or by extension Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Muslim, or anyone but a PROTESTANT may hold the posts of Monarch or Monarch’s Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
