I’m Not Sure Lockdown Worked, Admits Boris Johnson

In an extract from his new memoir published in the Mail, Boris Johnson says he’s not sure if lockdown worked or not. Here is the crucial passage:

It was only later that I started to look at the curves of the pandemic around the world – the double hump that seemed to rise and fall irrespective of the approaches taken by governments. There were always two waves, whether you were in China, where lockdowns were ruthlessly enforced, or in Sweden, where they took a more voluntary approach.

Looking back, I wonder if King Cnut was right all along when he stationed his throne on the shore of the Thames and asked his courtiers to watch as he vainly ordered the tide to withdraw. Maybe there are limits to human agency; maybe it isn’t possible for government action to repel the waves of a highly contagious disease, any more than it is possible to repel the tide of the Thames.

I am not saying that lockdowns achieved nothing; I am sure they had some effect. But were they decisive in beating back the disease, turning that wave down? All I can say is that I am no longer sure.

Worth reading in full.

Pathetic!

£500bn down the swanny, the country up sh*t creek, no army, no navy, five aeroplanes, no conventional deterrent while the world is on fire, pensioners in penury……

A quiet room, curtains closed, and a loaded revolver….

Surprisingly on this occasion I agree entirely.

I wonder if Kneel will take this on board when Billy releases the next one?

Why isn’t Doris the Fat Pig Dictator and the entire cabal in jail?
Medical Nazism and this half wit retrospectively admits that he had no idea what was going on and that it may have been a bad idea. 30.000 murdered with Midazolam, the fake flying bat virus named. Millions injured, 150 K dead from the stabs. And this fat oaf has a slight doubt. F em all.

I’d rather have a scaffold set up on Parliament Green.

Off-T

Guido is reporting that Rosie Duffield has resigned from the Labour Party and has dumped an absolute blister of a letter on Kneel.

Maybe there are limits to human agency;

Maybe? Outrageous hubris.

maybe it isn’t possible for government action to repel the waves of a highly contagious disease, any more than it is possible to repel the tide of the Thames.

The tide of the Thames has been somewhat controlled with the Thames Barrage. That’s trivial compared with repelling the waves of a highly (or even moderately) contagious disease.

The man is a blustering fool.

Not a fool. A paid criminal, actor, propagandist. He called himself Fuehrer. Another elitist totalitarian.

I wrote to BJ in December 2020, pleading with him to end the lockdowns. He didn’t listen. Instead he was captured by his mad scientists and his idiot Minster of Health. Is there any contrition? No, but one day there will be plenty of time for these people to reflect on their collective madness – in prison hopefully.

Marcus Aurelius knew

To know if something worked, one first has to know what the problem was.

There was no pandemic.

Exactly the same as this climate nonsense a solution (and a terrible one at that) to a non existent problem.

I don’t believe Boris ever approached Covid or anything else from an understanding. He was only ever about east policies based on someone else’s advice.

he was screwed when it turned out they were out for tge elite messsge snd screwing him was part of it.

I just find it bizarre there’s been such a complete lack of coverage or interest in the Scottish Covid inquiry, so I can only assume its findings have been deliberately ignored, because to acknowledge the evidence would mean admitting you played a major role in committing crimes against humanity, and suddenly the naked emperor gets the spotlight on his bare arse, a sight that cannot be unseen. Boris Johnson will know damn well what the findings are and they show that absolutely none of the policies he implemented in England stood up to scrutiny, were remotely justified or were even the slightest bit beneficial. On all of those counts they’ve shown the polar opposite, in fact, and were immensely damaging, and that’s even before the death jabs get a mention; ”The world’s only official COVID-19 inquiry to reveal what really took place during lockdown. Exclusive highlights reel below. There have been no mainstream or even ‘alternative’ media reports of these harrowing testimonies. Self promoted ‘freedom’ medics and their associated communities also lacking interest. Why the stubborn refusal to cover the following facts after the biggest event in living memory for most people in the world? ALL NOW CONFIRMED after 8 months of… Read more »

Just as a reminder, because t’ internet always keeps receipts, check out the date. March 2020. So why the quick change of heart? Somebody obviously had a word in Johnson’s shell-like; ”Five days ago – on March 19th 2020 – the UK government decided that Covid 19 was NOT a ‘high consequence’ disease. In short, it’s been downgraded – from a killer disease to something far less scary. The Gov.UK website states: “As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseases (sic) in the UK. The 4 nations public health HCID group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID. This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test,… Read more »

The C1984 was downgraded from HCID (High Consequence Infectious Disease) in order to facilitate the roll out of the so-called “vaccines.” If the HCID label had remained in place then all prophylactics with the potential to combat the infection had to remain available. America’s Front Line Doctors had already proven that Hydroxichloroquine and Ivermectin were viable. Once C1984 had been downgraded both Hydroxichloroquine and Ivermectin were forbidden and in many countries stocks destroyed.

Speaking prosaically, Boris and his government and people like Whitty are not sure that lockdowns worked because they didn’t bother to take any steps to study their effects. No cost-benefit analysis in advance, no retrospective assessments, and they still managed to bankrupt the country by waste.

Exactly…a massive experiment with no control group and for which nobody recorded the results. Even a GCSE student could have come up with better.

They cannot work, as no Respiratory virus stops until it has completed its natural course. Utter hubris to pretend that suddenly, we can do what history shows to be impossible.

Lockdown absolutely worked. It was – after all – nothing but socialists going competely haywire in imitating mighty China until they literally ran out of other people’s money and all these extremly skinny girls who had their youth stolen from them who reappeared from the crypts they’ve been forced to live in for years once they were again allowed to exist are a vivid testimony to that. We’ll also have to cope with the economic effects of this enormous vain money burning festival for years to come, if not decades. Reeve’s “black hole” is nothing but the direct consequence of policies implemented by Labour during this time.

If there’s God in heaven, there’ll eventually be Johnson in hell and he deserves it.

I really doubt that this stuff is anything more than the continuation of the “Boris” pantomime act. To quote Dad’s Army: Who do you think you are kidding Mr Johnson?

I do heartily approve of the choice of picture though. All public figures who appeared in public wearing nappies in their faces should always be portrayed in this manner, lest we forget.

I am pleased Toby is able to publish this piece. He was at the vanguard of objective lockdown scepticism, as is well known. While I (in the so-called “high-risk” group) looked on aghast as people fell in vast numbers for this destructive coup, Toby’s newsletter was one of the few things that kept me going. Always brave in the face of attack, balanced and open-minded, his work was an oasis of sanity in that crazy period. For that I will always be grateful; thanks Toby it’s great to see you vindicated day by day.
