Immigration Fuels Biggest Population Rise On Record

Immigration fuelled the biggest rise in the population in England and Wales for at least 75 years, the Office for National Statistics revealed today. The Telegraph has more.

The population rose by almost 610,000 to 60.9 million between mid-2022 and mid-2023, the biggest increase since 1949, when comparable records began.

The ONS said the growth was largely down to record levels of net migration, which stood at 622,000 for the year to mid-2023.

The impact of immigration was even more marked because of the negligible growth in the domestic population, owing to a declining birth rate and rising death rate as a result of the ageing population.

The number of births fell by 21,900 to 598,400, while the number of deaths rose by 24,000 to 598,000.

This meant the natural change in the population – the difference between births and deaths – dropped to 400, its lowest figure for 46 years.

The data follow figures released last week which showed a 34% cent fall in the number of foreign workers, dependents and students moving to the U.K. following a visa crackdown announced by Rishi Sunak last year to reduce net migration.

The figures, released by the Home Office, suggest the Government is on course to reduce immigration by 300,000 following measures including bans on foreign workers and students bringing dependents, increases in the skilled worker salary threshold from £26,200 to £38,700 and curbing shortage of occupation visa schemes.

Net migration currently stands at 685,000 for the year ending December 2023, down from a record high of 764,000 the previous year.

Labour is expected to continue with the legal migration measures introduced by the Conservatives although there is pressure for relaxation of visa controls from some within its ranks.

If you want to know why there’s a housing shortage, a crisis in public services and GDP per capita is failing to rise, look no further. The Tories did this, despite promising the complete opposite, and that’s why they lost.

Population at 60.9 million looks suspiciously low. Estimates seen elsewhere suggest closer to 80 million. Figures from the ONS cannot be trusted as we on here know only too well. My own purely visual evidence – visits to local northern town centres – confirms a massive influx of Third World detritus so I believe a more realistic estimate is probably in the region of 80 million.

Coincidentally, approx 15 years ago there was something like 80 million nee no’s* in existence for a population of allegedly 55 million.

In order to fund legal scope they issue an immediate NI number.

what about illegals on the beaches.

What prevents them getting repeated NI numbers abd repeated funding.

We will fight the RNLI on the beaches! That would lower the numbers.

Given that a good number of people will have left the UK permanently, that’s probably close to a million new people coming in, in a single year. I suppose some who left the UK will have been foreign-born, and some coming in will be UK born, but let’s assume most leaving will be British born and most coming in won’t be, that’s somewhere between 0.5 and 1 million more non-Brits. Far too many.

And nearly 40% of children born in 2022 had at least one immigrant parent.

There is your future. I coached footie in London. Most teams were majority non-white. That is the demographic which will matter most.

There is plenty more than 60 million in the UK – as above 70 mn maybe 80 mn is more accurate.

Muslims, Africans, Asians who have no interest in the legacy, history or culture of this great land – except to demolish it When I coached I heard more than a few war cries of allahu-akhbar after a goal was scored.

Yes the Islamization is in full swing, there’s no getting away from the fact that we’re being replaced; ”As Tony Blair put it, “what do you leave behind?”. Demographics, stupid. Everyone knows this, but the fool who only wants to see his own finger believes he is entitled to dispute what is obvious and to accuse the wise man who points to the moon of “racism”. Here then are the new data on Muslim births throughout France: in Paris, 25 percent (as in the Côte d’Azur); in the Ile de France, 35 percent, with departments such as Seine-Saint-Denis where 6 out of 10 newborns are Muslim. With 10 percent of a population responsible for 23 percent of total births, a dynamic of rapid ethnic, cultural, social and religious replacement is underway. “What do German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, his predecessor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and former British Prime Minister Theresa May have in common?” Bret Stephens wrote a few days ago in the New York Times. “They have no children. This is personal business, but it is the symbol of a continent where in 2022 just under 3.9 million Europeans were born and 5.15 million… Read more »

In parts of Africa parents have multiple numbers of kids. Here in the rich West that is not needed. Is it tradition in Pakistan to have a large family, and in India too, it seems so. You would expect their family size to match the Western countries once they settle but that ain’t happening.

It’s not fertility. It’s because every Muslim man is allowed by Islam to have FOUR WIVES, as long as he can support them (no problem on Western welfare benefits) and unlimited numbers of “war captives” = “sex slaves”.

Muslim Invaders to the West bypass western laws against polygamy by having three of their four wives claim to be “single mothers”, each then given their own house with all their offspring, all paid for by the taxpayers. He pays nothing, by claiming housing and benefits also for his official “wife” and her eight children, and unemployment benefit for himself.

Years ago, a Canadian immigration official estimated that for every Muslim man allowed into Canada, 25 more Muslims followed: as wives, children, elderly parents, and assorted extended family.

Off-T.

An excellent and sober reflection on the murder and attempted murder of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania this weekend by Frank Haviland.

A commendable article.

The second thing the Right must do, is stop rolling over to these bastards. The Left are not morally superior, they’re morally defunct. The stock answer to the smears needs to be something like this: “We don’t care whether you think we’re racist, sexist, xenophobic etc (and neither would it affect the truth if we were), deal with the argument, or get out of town”

Yes, some good articles on thenewconservative.

Frank Haviland is a good writer. This article is far more restrained than usual, but as said above sober, and with due respect.

In my small town alone of about 20,000 people I see immigrants appearing out of thin air on a weekly basis. This is a fairly small town in the East of Scotland near St Andrews. It is clearly the case that migrants are being dispersed all over the country and if there are noticeable increases weekly in my small town then this must be typical of all towns everywhere. This is DELIBERATE. Mass Immigration is clearly a policy favoured by the political class. The argument we have an ageing population simply does not wash. There are 5 million or more young people sitting on their arses doing NOTHING. Also in my town there are around 100 Romanians (at least) here to pick fruit, and we are supposed to have left the EU and Free Movement is supposed to have stopped.

We import Romanians and Bulgarians to pick fruit and produce….the same + others to fix our roofs and build houses….I chatted with a contractor who hired immigrants, according to him he tried English apprentices but they would always leave – work was too hard.

The UK welfare state not only attracts immigrants but allows apathy and laziness in the native born.

When you lose your pride and self-respect, lassitude will follow, individually and nationally.

Owen Jones argument is they’re mostly young so pay tax but use the NHS less. But they get old too and also they’re needed in their own countries if they are qualified Doctors, Nurses etc.

ONS numbers are not worth the paper they are printed on.
Another corrupted organisation that manipulates the data to suit the official narrative and hide the truth about excess deaths and vaccine harm.

Since, as others have stated, the true UK population was at least 80 million more than a decade ago, the true population now is at least 100 million, and rising every day.
