J.K. Rowling Launches Fresh Attack as Keir Starmer Appoints TWO Pro-Trans Women and Equalities Ministers

J.K. Rowling launched a fresh attack on Labour as Sir Keir Starmer appointed two pro-trans Women and Equalities Ministers to sit around his Cabinet table. The Mail has more.

In a surprise move, Downing Street revealed both Bridget Phillipson and Anneliese Dodds would hold the title in the new Government.

It led to confusion about who would ultimately be in charge of fulfilling Labour’s pre-election promise to “simplify” the process for trans people to legally change gender.

Rowling this morning questioned the choice of Ms. Dodds for the role, having previously clashed with Ms. Phillipson over Labour’s stance on transgender issues.

The Harry Potter author used social media to highlight an answer by Ms. Dodds in 2022, when the Labour frontbencher was asked about her party’s definition of a woman.

“I have to say that there are different definitions legally around what a woman actually is,” she replied in a BBC interview at the time.

She added: “I think it does depend what the context is surely. I mean surely that is important here.”

Prior to the General Election, Rowling agreed to a meeting with Labour following her repeated attacks on the party over gender issues.

It came after the author said she would “struggle to support” Labour in last Thursday’s vote, despite having previously been a party donor.

Rowling this morning revealed she had backed an independent candidate in her Edinburgh constituency last week, rather than vote for Labour. …

Downing Street attempted to clear up confusion about both Ms. Dodds and Ms. Phillipson being appointed as Women and Equalities Minister.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “Anneliese Dodds will be the Minister for Women and Equalities and will be, as I understand it, attending Cabinet.

“But for sort of constitutional purposes you also need someone who’s a full Cabinet member (Ms. Phillipson) having the brief as part of their role, but for all intents and purposes, Anneliese Dodds will be the lead Minister.”

So one is a Cabinet Minister while the other is a more junior Minister (of State?). I wonder if Starmer is similarly confused about all his appointments.

Probably – but then he pretends he doesn’t know what a woman is!

I’m not so sure he’s pretending to be honest. He seems to have a lot in common with a brick so far as I can tell.

I don’t buy the idea that anyone other than a few actually barking mad people really believe you can change your sex.

First Vallance, now Dodds. Claims Labour will put an end to “divisive culture wars”. Right.

I can’t understand how many (any) women voted Labour. Many must have known this was coming. I wonder if the penny drops will drop when they are required to share changing rooms?

‘the author said she would “struggle to support” Labour…’

So the party which undoubtedly has the least respect for biological women is, by inference, still the party she wants to support. If you look at the beliefs of young people (under 18) there is chasm between the political leanings of the sexes, with girls being far more left-wing than boys. Females are far more ideologically driven, in general, than males, and more likely to feel pressured socially. I always get panned for this as if it’s somehow sexist, but it’s never intended as a criticism but an observation of one of many biological differences between men and women. Of course, we can’t have an adult conversation about those differences because, in today’s world of accepted doublespeak, men and women can be both identical and very different at the same time. The two beliefs interchangable at the drop of a political/ideological hat.

Presumably females are more nurturing on average and the political left like to pretend that they can fix the world and make everyone happy, which probably appeals to those with nurturing natures.

The ‘tyranny of compassion’ has a lot to answer for, especially in the era of 24 hr news and the Internet. Everyone has to ‘be seen to be kind’.

The phrase ‘you need to be cruel to be kind’ seems to have fallen out of favour these days!

And what I find particularly fascinating is people who tie themselves up in knots telling everyone they are unique but the same. That women need special protection, but that women and men have no generalisation of difference. The same but different. Cake and eat. Many of these (clearly very intelligent people) cannot distinguish between the group and the individual – they believe criticism of the group is criticism of the individual. I suppose that’s how we get to where we’ve got.

I believe, and I’m used to being shot down for my beliefs, that, yes, women have a more organically empathetic nature due to their roles as creators of life and nurturers (not exactly a news story until recent times). The traditional roles of men and women over time likely exaggerated that natural leaning of empathy over logic and that plays a huge part in their political beliefs. Feminism, however, deliberately blurs every physiological strand you can imagine. What saddens me most is how many women want to distance themselves from such an incredible act (holding life and giving life) and attack other women who choose their children and family over a soulless life slogging your guts out for the taxman…. crap, I’m off on one again. Stop.

I think “feminism” ideally is a fight against blanket restrictions and attitudes and assumptions along the lines of “women this and that” – to treat people as individuals – which makes a lot more sense, once you know a little bit about the individual. I suppose the same could be said of “anti-racism”. But of course both have been hijacked and we have to have equality of outcome not of opportunity.

Agree. One thing can start out as something and end up as something else entirely. It’s recognising that that change has happened which seems to be difficult for so many – particularly difficult if you know that recognising that change means giving up certain special privileges.

Same, and I can understand even less how any woman would wish to be a Labour MP. But what I find completely and utterly farcical is when a woman can’t define what a woman is. The thing is though, as I’m sure we’re all aware anyway, they’ll know damn well what a woman is and be able to define it no problem in private, but we now live in crazy times whereby ‘political correctness’ trumps biological fact, which is basically seen as heresy in Clown World, and the pitchfork-wielding Leftards will have you hung for a witch if you go against them by uttering such blasphemy. Well, they’ll mark you out as a ”far-right extremist” anyway…Wouldn’t want to upset the ‘you know who’ brigade. What I do find unhelpful though, and which seems to go on a lot on here, is that people deal in gender stereotypes all the time. So we get no recognition of the no-brainer fact that both genders are made up of individual people, with their own unique personalities, based on their own unique upbringings and life-experiences, who, over time, have developed their own unique opinions on many topics, and who also possess completely different skillsets.… Read more »

Go on Youtube and look for John Swinney (Scottland First Minister) being asked how many genders there are. ——–These are the parasites we have telling us how to live our lives these days.

I cannot disagree with Laura Perrins on this.

Hoodies are probably the vilest garment ever invented. They are dreadful pieces. Ugly on women but on men completely beyond the pale. In fact no man should ever wear a hood. Evah.

(OK on nippers to about age 6 but after that they have grown out of them).

Roger Watson working at TCW this time with a timely warning about the new super “vaccine” which is being unleashed, a C1984 and ‘flu combined killer.

What is blatantly obvious is that it is not the actual shot that is the priority, the priority is the mRNA gunk. So there is something in the mRNA that is dangerous and about which we appear to know little. And this is Todd Hayen’s conclusion over at Off-G.

“For constitutional purposes”??? So why aren’t there two Starmers, two Matt Lucas Chancellors? The Biological definition is there are only male and female and, quite frankly, if you can’t work out what an Adult and a Female are then thirty of you is no bloody use to anyone let alone two!

So the communist in chief ignores the Cass report and continues with his vile policy to allow immature children to be chemically and physically mutilated by vile, deranged, medical child abusers, who should be tried and imprisoned. Along with any government minister who supports and enables this.
Starmer’s government are mentally ill, Orwellian communist pigs. There should be massive lawfare waged against this disgusting government.

Poor Kier. He is so obvious. He will continue the tyranny of the minority. He just wants to show us he can. Like someone shoving something down your throat when you said “I don’t want anymore”. Excellent job Kier, you are off to a great WEF start….reset, wind turbines, and now trans. Can’t wait to see what is next. Oh by the way, did he or any of his intelligent cabinet mention the cost of food, fuel, clothing, utilities. No I did not think so. He is too busy nominating two trans people to do what???

The more the woke lefties shout about “being kind” the more authoritarian and bullying they become.

We’ve gone from a situation up to 50-odd years ago where those whose sexual/behavioural preferences weren’t the same as the vast majority were criminalised, or at the very least bullied, to one where the vast majority are being bullied or criminalised.

The tyranny of the minority.
