The Green Party is Terrifying

Sometimes mistaken for a cuddly group of tree huggers who just want better care for the environment, in fact the Green party is terrifying, says Annabel Denham in the Spectator. Here’s an excerpt.

In the past few months, the Greens have suspended a former London Assembly member and two-time London mayoral candidate after he lamented that colleagues had denounced the Cass Review [into gender identity services]. After the local elections, one councillor sparked outrage by shouting “Allahu Akbar” to celebrate his victory. At the weekend, it was reported that three candidates for the party were no longer standing amid suggestions they made racist comments. What do traditional Green voters – those primarily driven by environmental concerns – make of these developments?

Now there’s the backlash to their scandalous maternity policy. In the wake of the Ockenden Review and the Birth Trauma Inquiry, it has emerged the Greens have been promoting ‘natural’ deliveries and promising to reduce Caesarean sections. Yet it was precisely this mindset – that intervention ought to be delayed, despite the risks to patient safety – that led to the tragic deaths of 300 babies and 12 mothers at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust. The language of ‘normal’ or ‘natural’ births was formally dropped by the Royal College of Midwives in 2017, so why is the Green party still deploying it? …

The Scottish Greens’ transgender policy wrecked the SNP coalition. They lecture us about ‘fairness’ when degrowth will hit the poorest hardest. They persistently block housing developments, yet advocate uncontrolled immigration. Perhaps most baffling is their opposition to both nuclear and, on some occasions, local solar farms. They don’t want clean energy, they just want less energy.

Even more terrifying: the Greens are “polling higher among the under-50s than both the Tories and Reform”. (Well, according to YouGov.)

For a fist full of roubles

Strawberries are green when unripe, but but develop into a deep red after not very long. So it is with environmentalists too.
Sadly environmentalist are completely unpalatable at any stage.

Green for danger!

We should not all be suffering from colour blindness I hope, but the GREEN party are not actually green. They are bright RED. I am sure the public think the environment is very important and indeed it is. But they need to wake up to what these parasites that have hijacked the environment for their communism really are. Ordinary people thinking of voting green are good people I presume, it is just that they are being seriously misled and misinformed, and when you consider that 70% of people actually get their news from the BBC is it really that much of a surprise, since BBC are really just climate change activists pretending to be the “impartial” goodie two shoes? Greta Thunberg says this—– “Around the year 2030 we will set off an irreversible chain reaction beyond or control”. There is simply not one shred of evidence for this non scientific statement. It is the rantings of activism and yet this girl gets full publicity and her nonsense is heard all over the western world scaring people into believing there is a crisis and will cause some kind of Climate Armageddon. Anyone who thinks of voting Green based on the rantings… Read more »

Thunberg is no longer a school girl. Also, she missed quite large chunks of her allocated time at school – partly due to not being able to cope in class (so I’ve heard) and partly due to organising and attending school protest ‘strikes’

Yes I do think she has some mental health issues. Maybe she will grow out of this hysteria and be an activist in reality, like a cult escapee.

Greta Thunberg says this—– “Around the year 2030 we will set off an irreversible chain reaction beyond or control”……She could well be referring to Agenda 2030 that she campaigns for.

Evidence free drivel and this silly girl is the eco socialists useful idiot, and I would go so far to say it is child abuse putting this girl up there like a performing seal because she is able to speak with an air of authority to convince the masses that their standard of living is way too high with climate as the excuse for seriously lowing that standard to something more preferable to the Technocrats at the UN.

I don’t think we should be wasting our time debating what age this person is. Let’s tackle the issue. —–The Green Party is terrifying this article says and that is true no matter what age their activists are.

Lots of people who think they are ‘doing something for the planet’ by voting Green. They are fantasists and idealists, ‘being nice’, and not seeing the consequences. What is it with the left that they can never see the consequences of anything..?

Because ideology trumps common sense.

Green used to be about saving whales, overfishing, chemicals in food, etc etc, but since about 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down the communists needed a new vehicle for their communism, and they started to move into the environmental movement and to use that as a means of control over people. This was around the time and just after the UN IPCC was set up.

Everyone talks about this moron who got himself killed because he attacked the people pinning the original attacker to the ground. Nobody talks about the actual victim, ie, Stürzenbacher. Funny, innit?

As to the silly joke¹, the SPD – Greens – FDP (the German LibDems) government of Germany has meanwhile legalized Cannabis and hence, these guys are obviously simply all stoned.

“What? Mannheim has died?”

Whoever the woman 2nd on the left in that picture and wearing green on the BBC debate last actually is, I found it terrifying how thick she came across. She must have a stiff neck from looking at her notes to see what she was supposed to say.

The Green Party are utopians. Like all utopians they cannot bear anybody to disagree with them, and use emotion not logic in their arguments. Utopians make excellent totalitarians.

No sane intelligent person ever considered these psychopathic Earth worshippers ‘cuddly’… nasty, evil, certainly.

They aren’t the “earth worshippers” anymore. The original Green party was founded as anti-party, ie, in radical opposition to the political system. As soon as they had become a recognizable force, they got essentially hijacked by political careerists. This was big topic in Germany from about 1985 to about 1995, the fight between the Green fundamentalists (Fundis) and the so-called realists (Realos) who wanted nothing but political power and building careers on that. The Realos won (obviously) and hence, the present Green party doesn’t have any standpoints which aren’t principally for sale to the highest bidder. Whatever the global cabal of obscenely rich people want, the Greens are their parliamentary force. They used be very much anti-war until Ukraine. Then, they all became hawks overnight. Doesn’t matter, follow whereever the mighty dollar leads.
