Nick Dixon and Toby Young Talk About Nigel Turning Up to Ruin Rishi’s Party, the Trump Show Trial and a Bumper Week for the ‘Far Right’ Smear

Welcome to the Weekly Sceptic episode 90

This week:

In a week full of political news, Nick and Toby talk about:

  • Nigel Farage’s decision to stand in Clacton and become the leader of Reform
  • The many reasons Farage’s shock announcement is bad news for Rishi Sunak, including the risk that he’ll now have to contend with the Reform leader in a televised debate
  • Whether Reform can replace the Tories as the leading party of the Right by 2029
  • They then look across the pond to discuss Trump’s conviction and ask what it is, exactly, he’s been found guilty of?
  • And premium content on www.basedmedia.org, which includes:
  • A bumper week for ‘far Right’ smears, what with Tommy Robinson’s protest march, the knife attack by an Islamist at an anti-Muslim rally in Germany, and Jess Phillips’s attempt to cancel Liz Truss for appearing on Lotus Eaters
  • Peak woke, or, rather, Peak Pride, as they must learn to call it this month
  • What Toby intends to say to Owen Jones if they’re ever on Question Time together
  • And in the Based Department the bar-owner in Idaho who’s declared June to be ‘Heterosexual Awareness Month’

Yes, Clacton is the hinge of fate. Here’s how:

  • Farage wins Clacton
  • Cons get wiped out nationally
  • Farage joins Cons
  • Runs for leader
  • Wins party members’ vote in a landslide (humiliating Mordaunt is the cherry)
  • So the rump parliamentary Cons have no choice but Farage
  • Cons are renamed The Reform Conservatives…
  • …and win in a landslide in 1929.

1929?

Am I missing something or is this a typo?

Will Farage win, or, will the ConLabLib coalition maintain the status quo by deploying tactical voting?

It seems that Drumpf’s conviction and sentencing on July 11th, only a few days after Britain’s election, will not damage his Republican candidacy, so he may well announce his Vice-Presidential running mate soon after that.

And it turns out that there may be a very interesting reason that Nigel nearly destroyed the Reform Party to go to the States to help Drumpf win the election. The surprise Vice-President choice may be Candace Owens, whose Reform Party backer husband George Farmer (both now converted to the Catholicism/Maryolatry of Melania Drumpf), said he won’t mind being “First Husband” if Candace wants to become President of the United States.

Gordon… Blinking… Bennett.
