Angela Rayner Under Police Spotlight As Council Tax Investigation Heats Up

Angela Rayner is anticipated to undergo a police interview under caution to determine which of her two residences was her primary home. The Telegraph has the details.

Greater Manchester Police are understood to have contacted Labour’s Deputy Leader to arrange an interview at a date and time to be agreed by both. The interview would almost certainly be conducted at a local police station in Manchester and Ms. Rayner would be questioned under caution.

Ms. Rayner has previously said that she has been looking forward “to sitting down with the appropriate authorities… and draw a line under this matter”, suggesting that she will attend the interview voluntarily, obviating any need to arrest her and the embarrassment that would cause. …

The police inquiry centres around a former council house in Stockport which Ms. Rayner had bought under Right to Buy prior to becoming an MP and which she then sold in 2015. She had claimed the house was her main residence, thereby legally avoiding a capital gains tax bill of up to £3,500.

Police are investigating whether Ms. Rayner wrongly declared her permanent address on the electoral roll, which is a criminal offence.

Ms. Rayner has said she will resign if she has committed any criminal wrongdoing.

Hypothetically speaking, if she were found guilty and resigned, how long would it be before she stood as a member of parliament once again?

2 years? 3 at a push?

Naturally, lessons will have been learned by then – and she would be forgiven because the misdemeanour would be trivilalised as “merely a technicality and an oversight” by her – due to the stressful and punishing hours she had endured as a MP. In addition, the labour party will stress how the whole country will have sorely missed the unique talents that she dutifully brings to UK politics and welcome her back into the fold with open arms.

It wouldn’t be even a week. She’d simply stand down as Deputy and still be an MP. Actually, knowing this dreadful woman, she’d refuse to resign because the Court and the Jury were bribed by the Tories.

Rayner is a lair and a thief. Her husband and brother are also guilty. Does this stupid woman think she is Teflon Tony? Come on, she claims she was living in her house and her brother claims he was living with her husband: how likely is that unless they had a strange Menage a Trois? Meanwhile, every picture on her social media happened to be in her husbands home.
Not much mentioned is the fact that the husband was claiming he lived alone as well but her brother claims he was living at her husbands home. Her husband made more money than Bandy Legs by selling as a single person whilst avoiding Council Tax.
Will Labour ever change? I haven’t yet seen a Leopard with spots. Thieves and liars all.

It puzzles me that before becoming PM Bunter was flat on his arse running round in a battered old people carrier and paying for countless kids from broken marriages. After a two year stint as PM and now with no MP salary he managed to acquire a ten bedroomed mansion in the Cotswolds. Writing a weekly column for the Daily Mail must pay extraordinarily well!

Of course they are. It would be strange if they left any political weapon unused.

Not only that but she is quick enough to put the boot in when it’s a Tory.

I was method acting Rayner. From time to time I pretend to think like a socialist, whilst it’s ridiculous it is slightly exhilarating abolishing all reason.

Things are looking up for us in the North West, ever so slightly; Oldham Council lost overall control in the Locals and Ranting is going down for a spell.

Marvellous.

This piece of nonsense has no bearing on the potential of Raynor as a politician . We will get to see what is her talent after the election .my personal view , is that she will along with all the other nonentities , prove that the old adage of ‘ those that can do , those that can’t , become politicians ‘ !

If you have not yet been able to come to a conclusion on Ranting’s “potential as a politican” then you have been asleep. She has been an MP grifter since 2015.

This woman could start a fight in an empty house.

She went along with all the Lockdown fascism with a smirk on her face being interviewed by JHB.

The Memsahib voiced her mild surprise that Rayner only has three children, observing that, “one would have thought that a furrow so regularly ploughed would have borne a better harvest than that”.

There are times when she even makes me blink …
