“I’m Not Playing a Man in a Women’s Event”: Female Darts Star Forfeits Tournament as She Refuses to Face Transgender Player
A British female darts star has forfeited her chance to the win the Denmark Open after refusing to face a transgender player, calling for the sport to ban male athletes. The Mail has the story.
Deta Hardman, 64, who has been a vocal critic of rules allowing transgender women to compete in women’s tournaments, pulled out of the quarter-final match against Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
Hedman, is one of the most well known figures in the women’s darts scene, and in the past has called on the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and the World Darts Federation (WDF) to exclude transgender athletes from women’s tournaments.
“I’m not playing against a man in a women’s event,” bluntly told German newspaper Bild.
Supporters of Hedman were quick to offer the darts star compensation for her decision to boycott the tournament, offering to make up any prize money she may have lost.
Yet Denmark Darts paid her out in full for the event. It was reported that Hedman had initially told organisers she was ill but hitting back at the claim, she wrote on X: “No fake illness, I said I wouldn’t play a man in a ladies event.”
The sportswoman went onto write to Save Women’s Sport – an international campaign calling for “fairness in women’s sport” that says “biological sex matters”.
Hedman said to the group: “This subject causing much angst in the sport I love. People can be whoever they want in life but I don’t think biological born men should compete in women’s sport.”

Genuine question: have any women who claim to be men (I think the ridiculous official term is transgender men, but correct me if I’m wrong) excelled in any men’s category of sport. References would be appreciated.
If they did, why would they bother infiltrating the Womens’ category? I’m asking hypothetically, as I’m sure you know the answer.
Not entirely sure as I get a bit confused with the alphabet pronoun people, but this site has a couple listed – Chris Mosier and Shuyler Bailar. Both seem to have had proper, old school body dysphoria psychological support and did compete in their chosen (male) gender. The rest seem to be the more usual chicks with d*cks.

Well what I’m trying to gauge here is why the man would want to play against women in this sport in the first place? What’s wrong with playing with the men? I can understand the motivation for cheating men to infiltrate sports such as women’s swimming, running, power lifting or cycling, but what significant advantage would he have over women in darts that would hold him back playing against men? No idea what this tranny dude is playing at here. Or did he used to play against men before he ‘transed’ and now it’s just a matter of principle because he thinks of himself as a woman? Very strange. Respect to this lady though, for sticking to her morals here. The more do it the stronger the message that this nonsense won’t be tolerated.

I guess the number of really good women players is lower than in the blokes competition. Good for her though…
Seems to me they want it to be easier to win and gain their moment of fame. In darts a man has a distinct height and reach advantage. In other sports height and body strength come into play. A female runner can’t compete against a man with an extra foot or more of leg. Perhaps they also like the notoriety.
But do they though? Within a women’s tournament you could get one competitor who is 5ft 8ins and one who’s 5ft 2ins. That’s a significant difference in height and reach but both are the same sex. What they going to do, introduce height categories in darts? Not realistic. The same could obviously apply in the men’s. People of the same sex vary in heights considerably, as a walk down the high street on a busy day will confirm.
Obviously I’m not advocating for any of this trans nonsense in sports as this should be a moot point because it should never be allowed to happen in the first place. Trans people should have their own category or just compete against the sex they actually are, not who they’re trying to emulate.

I have pointed this out before, but many years ago when Serena Williams was at her peak she was asked how she thought she would do against the men. She replied “If I played Andy Murray I would lose 6-0 6-0. ———-There you have it. Women cannot compete with men in physical sports. —-Serena Williams knew it and so does everyone else but ideology trumps reality every time with the leftist social engineers.
Which isn’t to say women can’t be excellent at sport, my eldest daughter is very accomplished at football and tennis. I suppose ultimate physical prowess in the very elite belongs to men in the same way ultimate beauty is the possession of women. Nature has decreed it so.
