Perhaps Andrew Neil had already mentioned it but notable in its absence from his list of examples was the plight of his fellow journalist Mr Assange.

He finishes with “and we just want to be allowed to get on with it” making it clear he’ll do what he’s told i.e. accept government interference.

Ukraine has only six months left What’s really going on? ‘(European) countries that have U.S.-made Patriots – which Ukraine already uses and values highly for their ability to shoot down fast-moving ballistic missiles – were non-committal on Monday.’ Colonel Kemp is catastrophising for a reason. There is another chance to get some more Patriot missiles for Ukraine ‘….the so-called Ramstein group of countries that supply military aid to Ukraine would meet at the end of the week. That meeting would provide another opportunity for governments to announce pledges.’ Clearly some horse trading in prospect….. I really have no idea why the U.S. even bothers with Europe any more. No European country gave any security assurances to Ukraine in 1994 except Britain and they have backed that up with their pusillanimity since 2022 despite evidence of continual Russian expansionism: ‘Moldovan law enforcement officers conducted over 150 searches mostly at the Chisinau airport and in some personal homes after receiving a tip that opposition politicians who were returning from the April 21 meeting of Moldovan opposition politicians in Moscow…..were smuggling money into Moldova. Moldovan authorities reported that they confiscated……..over $1.1 million during the searches. The Moldovan General Police Inspectorate Chief Viorel Cernauteau… Read more »

‘We have government that concentrates on doing far too much, all of which it does badly!’

Andrew Neil April 2024

Yes, Mr Neil.

But the trouble is, no-one is listening to you anymore.

There are still 5 million unvaccinated British adults, who through fear, ignorance, irresponsibility or sheer stupidity refuse to be jabbed. In doing so they endanger not just themselves but the rest of us.’

Andrew Neil Dec 2021

Just a quick shout out to the hypocritical, traitorous goon squad that passes for the UK police force nowadays. Apparently face coverings are a no-no when you’re a normal, well-behaved patriotic citizen but if you’re a West-hating, death-chanting, police-attacking Jihad-lover it’s all good. Shall we see on Saturday the complete contrast with what happened yesterday and count those masks and tea towels?

”The groups are gathering in the Waterloo area prior to joining the event in Whitehall. Officers are in the area to respond to any incidents.

A number of people, have been seen in the area wearing masks. A Section 60AA order, giving officers the power to require the removal of face coverings, is now in force in the boroughs of Lambeth and Westminster.

A Section 60 order, giving officers additional search powers, is also in force in the same area to prevent crime and disorder.”

They were closing down the pubs! So apparently you can’t go out to enjoy some bevvies and the company of fellow patriots to celebrate your patron saint’s day without this mafia pissing all over your good spirits. These people were doing nowt wrong. How is socializing down your local now reason to shut the premises down? Zero justification for this. They don’t even need to pretend anymore, we see what they’re all about, and we’ll see the contrasting definition of ‘policing’ on Saturday when the terrorist-supporting death cultists come out to play again and they won’t touch them with a barge pole; ”What started as a happy, high spirited St George’s Day celebration was soon stamped out by @SadiqKhan Stasi! Police storm in heavy handed shoving people around. Are the public just meant to allow these thugs pushing them around? The Met Stasi trespassed on each pub and ordered them to close which IS NOT their decision. After speaking to landlords of multiple pubs, they are scared to tell them to p!ss off because they will lose their licence.. Shame on every one of the uniformed thugs who were there to do one thing, provoke and get the headlines needed… Read more »

Wikipedia – Never use it now, Many years ago I would occasionally bung them a few quid, but no more. They are not a source to be trusted or believed.

For a fist full of roubles

Rather than consider wasting money on the Albion Dome missile defence system, Britain’s defence industry should reflect on why its weaponry (and that of all its Western Allies) has failed in Ukrainian terrain. Perhaps because all the designs were dominated by the requirements of the Middle East, not the quagmires that European weather can produce.
Consider the situation where the Dome is used. It likely means that most of Europe will have already been occupied for an attack to occur on mainland Britain.
Although the British press failed to point it out, modern mass drone attacks can exhaust missle defence systems for comparatively low cost, and they are completely powerless in the face of hypersonic missiles.
And at the end of the day, who would want to occupy Britain? No natural resources, a bolshie population and an unpredictable climate.

Please come back with some evidence to support these silly assertions (they amount to nothing more) or desist; pointless.

NLAW destroyed the Russian advance on Kyiv.

Storm Shadow destroys key bridges in Crimea on a regular basis.

ASRAAM means Russia has been unable to achieve air superiority.

https://www.iiss.org/publications/the-military-balance/

Re mass drones, your post is out of date:

‘Northrop Grumman’s high-explosive dual purpose 30×133 mm rounds has a small sensor that detects drones and then explodes….doesn’t have to make a direct hit but be close enough for the fragments in the airburst to take down a drone.’ Each round, mass produced, costs less than $10.

Any more good news? Oh! It’s about to get even worse, much worse for Russia.

You will see……

Hypersonic missiles?

‘On 6 May Ukrainians shot down a Kinzhal outside Kiev using a Patriot air-defense system, supplied by the United States just weeks before. It was reported that the Kinzhal was specifically targeting that system when it was shot down. Three days later, the Russian military reportedly launched a series of six Kinzhal missiles at Ukrainian sites; the Ukrainians shot down five of the six. The sixth Kinzhal damaged, but did not destroy, a Patriot battery.

……the Kinzhal missile has shown itself to be fairly inaccurate……..the Russians used the missile only against large military targets, such as fuel depots and weapon caches, or on civilian targets, such as apartment blocks, where accuracy is less important.’

IEEE Spectrum Jul. 2023

Britain is also supplying Ukraine with weapons capable of destroying Kinzhal.

The reason it is relatively easy to destroy with modern air defence systems? It isn’t a true hypersonic missile……

Reply to  Monro

They said they shot them down, but you don’t believe their propaganda do you? No evidence whatsoever. The rest is total rubbish, and they also have the Zircon which is reputed to be even better.
Have you ever asked yourself why Zelensky is begging for more.
The world is still waiting for evidence of the perpetrators of the Bucha massacre, and the Ghost of Kiev and the massacre at Snake Island too.

Monro

You are not serious.

Zircon is, in fact, even worse:

‘The use of a new experimental missile called Zircon, which the Russians claim to be hypersonic, during the attack on Kyiv on 7 February, (has been confirmed).

However, as it turned out, there were two missiles. The second missile fell in an open field in the city of Vyshneve.

Zircons do not actually match the tactical and technical characteristics declared by the Russians.

…..anti-ship missile 3M22 Zircon does not fly at a speed of 8-9 Mach (around 10,000 kilometres per hour) as claimed by the Russians.

……during the final stage of its flight, the missile reached a speed of only 2,500 kilometres per hour.

…..another Russian “unrivalled development” like Zircon, adopted into service in Russia in 2023, has proven not to be so unique, much like their Kinzhal missile.’

Obviously Zelensky needs as much air defence as he can get his hands on. His country covers 233,000 square miles…..and Putin will fire missiles at civilians anywhere…….

Enjoy your life.

The role of Government in the news sector – Andrew Neil

We all know that the corporate news sector has been corrupted, in that it no longer reports news from the perspective of what is true and of interest and relevance to the public. Instead, through financial incentives (advertising, donations, etc) and ensuring that senior executives are controlled (threats, bribery – eg Project Mockingbird in the USA) narratives are created, agreed and pushed while news counter to these narratives is suppressed and discredited. Climate change, mass immigration and covid demonstrate that the mainstream news sector, for whatever reason, pretty much pushes a single narrative despite the fact there are clearly many counter-narrative angles to be pursued.

Why did Andrew Neil not take the opportunity to denounce legislation on hate speech and mis- and dis-information? Why did he not mention The Trusted News Initiative? This is all just a charade and he is controlled opposition, in my opinion.

At best the UK will send maybe a dozen people to Rwanda – big wow – and it’ll cost a fortune in legal fees and bureaucracy. It’s not a deterrent when a hundred people are prepared to get on one small boat to get into British waters. The vast majority of migrants are either invited with pre-approved visas or are granted visas almost straight after arrival.

https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/charges-dismissed-against-tommy-robinson/ I know this is old news but there are links embedded to Rebel News and The Times of Israel. What has actually gone on with Tommy Robinson is blatant criminality on the part of the police, judiciary and Khan and senior members of government. Tommy Robinson had actually NOT broken any laws when the police went for him and he is too savvy nowadays to resist any attempted arrest. The warrant to remove him from London was dated two days prior, the time listed on the document was wrong, he was pepper sprayed at point blank – illegal and without prior warning, also illegal. The arresting officers bodycams had become faulty, recorded over, lost and other excuses such that police video and sound recordings were not available – very convenient. It is absolutely clear that TPTB had decided to arrest Tommy on the day in question. The problem was that they had no grounds. How were they to get round this? The answer was very simple – ensure that the charges levelled against Tommy were backed up with deliberately incorrect paperwork. So when Tommy is arraigned in court the judge has to throw the case out – result. The… Read more »

Amman Valley School live updates as school on lockdown and two air ambulances at scene
No idea what this incident is about yet but the police have already started censoring people still trapped in the school by instructing them not to use their phones!
I wonder why? Have they yet to determine the demographic of the perpetrator before they want anyone saying anything?
I’ll wager,if its a white british pupil you’ll know their name and address by the end of the day, if not, they’ll be described as “a welsh student”

Sunak unveils biggest military spending increase in a generation

Gosh, that’s generous of him to suddenly promise to increase the funding to £75 billion by 2030, the biggest “in a generation”, which is about 20 years.

By 2030, the Tories will have been in power for a generation themselves, since 2010, and during that time…
