Hate Crime Call Handlers Given Script Defending Humza Yousaf

Police Scotland staff have been given a script defending Humza Yousaf after he faced a deluge of hate crime reports. The Telegraph has more.

The national force issued an email guide to call centre workers and officers, advising them of lines to take in response to claims that the First Minister made a racist speech at Holyrood at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Mr. Yousaf, who was then the Justice Secretary, had highlighted the race of a series of high-profile figures in Scottish public life in June 2020, pointing out that each of them was white.

He added that at 99% of the meetings he went to he was “the only non-white person in the room” and said Scotland “has a problem of structural racism”.

His remarks have since been taken out of context online in a 45-second clip, with Elon Musk describing Mr. Yousaf on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, as a “blatant racist” in October 2022.

Such was the volume of complaints about the remarks that Police Scotland issued a guide on a “form of words” to recite when members of the public complain about the First Minister under his new hate crime laws.

It states that Mr. Yousaf had been making reference to his “own personal experience of racism” and that “nothing said in the speech was threatening, abusive or insulting”. It adds that when he had been referring to “white people”, he had been “pointing out a matter of fact”.

The guide said: “There was no malice or ill will towards any person or group displayed in anything said, and so it does not meet the threshold to be recorded as a non-crime hate incident.”

The email, issued by Police Scotland’s diversity unit after the hate crime laws came into force this month, added that the speech was protected under Mr. Yousaf’s rights to freedom of speech. The force has been deluged with complaints since the legislation was brought in, many of them about Mr. Yousaf.

Worth reading in full.

It wasn’t “insulting” – except for pointing out the race of his colleagues and claiming a problem of “structural racism”.

As a white person I felt extremely upset and very distressed when I heard useless making his statements about white people. Hopefully I will get over the slough of depression that I have suffered these last couple of years but the damage to my mental health has been enormous.

Obviously useless wasn’t trying to hurt just me but I do feel I am carrying the mental anguish of millions and it is a heavy burden. Perhaps justice will be forthcoming.

Eventually.

If I call him a complete Next Tuesday would that be a hate crime? I am still suffering.

But you see Diversity only works in one direction —Less White People. —–Here is a little experiment for you. Switch on your TV and try to spot an advertisement with 6 white people in it. I guarantee you will be sitting there for a very long time, which is most peculiar since white people make up 83% of the population. You would think that statistically, adverts full of white people would be quite common.

Which means that being white puts you at a disadvantage as an actor, otherwise the proportions of white / non white / ethnic minority in TV ads, dramas etc would be more representative of the population.

So if “stating a fact” is not a non crime hate incident I assume that means pointing out men in a dress aren’t women is now safe from being recorded as well?

This post has been fact-checked by independent Stonewall affiliates and it contains false information! Women don’t exist, except as figment of some people’s imagination, and claiming otherwise is HATE!!

I’ve seen the clip and I beg to differ: That was an emotionally over-the-to J’accuse and apart from that, according to Yousaf’s own law, intent doesn’t matter but subjective reception does. However, nobody ever expected that ranting against so-called ‘white’ people would be covered by this act.

Just in case you’ve not heard, here’s some context. I wonder if the victim was white…;

”First Minister Humza Yousaf’s brother-in-law has appeared in court charged with abduction and extortion in a case linked to a man who died after falling from a flat window.
A 36-year-old man was seriously injured after plummeting from a block of flats in Dundee’s Morgan Street on 10 January. He died in hospital one week later.”

“When I attend meetings at Islamabad’s Central Planning office, I am often the only white person in the room. Pakistan has a problem of structural racism.”

Sorted.

“…Prime minister: brown; Judge advocate: brown; Chief of police: brown; etc…”

And would you get away with that in Islamabad if you claimed you were taken out of context and merely stating “matter of fact”?
I ask this of Mr. Useless: Why the need to state it in a speech?

So it was Yousaf’s personal “experience”? ———My personal experience tells me he is blundering Eco Socialist Cultural Marxist buffoon. But he clearly isn’t alone as the Labour Party, The Greens and the Liberal Democrats all voted for this disgusting piece of legislation. Only the Conservatives didn’t vote for it. This must be the only thing they got right in the last 5 years.

‘Point out it’s not racist, just a matter of fact…’ unless of course you reverse the language and use black or Muslim or similar instead of white and then that is 100% racist.

If you watch the speech you can see the vitriolic dislike of whites clearly demonstrated by the way he repeatedly spits out the word “white”
Try “brown” instead and see how it sounds. Eg “First Minister brown, Prime Minister brown, mayor of London brown “
His speech was clearly “hate” by the definition before April 1st.
I complained about it, but of course it was never supposed to apply to him.

Brown doesn’t work so well because the word doesn’t lend itself to this kind of pronounciation. But replacing ‘white’ with ‘jew’ would work beautifully and show very clearly where he copied his perfomative style from. I wouldn’t be surprised when there were professional “Hitler and Goebbels for Dummies” training courses for aspiring ‘democratic’ politicians.

Our political system seems pretty f***ed when that’s what’s necessary to get oneself elected.

Maybe the Olympic 100m dash should be banned. Nearly always 100pc black. Maybe I should claim some kind of televisual offence.
