C of E Schools Tell Teachers They Are “Likely” Breaking Law by Denying Pupils Can Change Sex
A group of Church of England schools told teachers that they would probably be breaking the law if they said a person cannot change their biological sex. The Telegraph has the story.
The Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust, which runs 42 primary schools, said defining sex as immutable was “damaging” and likely to breach the Equality Act, despite legal rulings to the contrary.
The trust’s policy on transgender pupils also stated that girls who did not want to share changing rooms with boys who identified as trans should be moved to a different facility.
It comes after the Telegraph revealed that up to three quarters of schools are misrepresenting equality laws.
An analysis of more than 600 policies showed teachers are being told to transition children as young as four without their parents’ knowledge and to allow them to sleep in dormitories and use toilets that match their “gender identity”.
Many policies remain in place despite long-awaited draft Government guidance published in December which states that schools should not accept all requests to social[ly] transition and should involve parents in any decision that is made.
Next week, the Cass review into gender identity services for children, which has promised to consider the “important role of schools”, is expected to be published. The interim report warned that changing a child’s name and pronouns is “not a neutral act”.
The Transgender Pupils Policy from the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT), which is part of the Diocese of Bath and runs schools across Somerset, shows that teachers and parents were warned against questioning controversial trans ideology.
It states: “Everyone has the right to their own beliefs whether based in faith or another philosophical system, but it is the position of our Trust that the expression of the belief that sex and gender are unchangeable, when heard or seen by pupils, colleagues, parents, carers and other visitors to our schools, is damaging to those affected by gender dysphoria.
“Such expression is likely to amount to breach of the Equalities Act according to recent legal judgment.”
The policy does not identify which legal judgment it is referring to. It was updated in November 2021, months after a judge had ruled that such gender-critical beliefs were protected by law, in a case brought by Maya Forstater.

The logic behind this is probably: Disability is a protected characteristic in the equality act. People who believe to have an immaterial gender which transcends the mere physical existence of their wrong bodies are clearly mentally disabled. Hence, telling them that it ain’t so must be illegal.
This is the result on the ground of what happens when adults enable, brainwash and encourage kids in the fallacy that they can change their sex. Irreparable harm happens with disastrous consequences both mentally and physically. It’s nothing more than a sick cult preying on vulnerable kids and young people. How did we get back to the point where people claim that they represent the state religion and that dissidence will not be tolerated, reality be damned? I thought we got over that when it became accepted that the Earth is not flat and that the sun doesn’t revolve around it.
The Church of England should be disestablished. Like the BBC, it needs to be made accountable to its consumers.
We should understand the established church has been subverted by a 5th column which is systematically deconstructing millennia of established Christian doctrine: the family: fatherhood; male and female; the work ethic et al.

So the Church of England is forcing its own school teachers to tell children that God makes a lot of mistakes, and needs humans to fix them for Him?
You cannot change sex. You can call yourself what ever you want. But that is not the same thing.
Gender (of people) doesn’t exist outside of academic theories about it. And sex cannot be changed as it’s hardwired into each and every cell of the body. That’s not a “belief” but a fact and claims to the contray are lies (or “believes” if someone prefers that, “belief” here defined as being convinced of something despite it’s demonstrably not true).
BTW, did someone ever consider that the transcult and all that hangs on it could be damaging to people not basking in ‘gender euphoria’ (a much better term for this condition). Don’t they have rights as well?
Governments don’t really give a damn about Trans people. They are just another tool in the Cultural Marxist toolbox.
As far as I know, the term cultural marxism was invented by Hitler. At least, he used it prominently and considered one of the defects of post-war (WWI) society which would need to be overcome. And he certainly wasn’t a disciples of the American Evil Governments vs The People school of political thought¹.
¹ Referring to something which just a barely camouflaged desire by rich people to avoid paying taxes as school of thought is a bit of a stretch.
People are remarkably naive as well as cowardly and risk averse. I don’t think it is necessary to point to examples. You have to ask, how do you turn a ship around in times like these. As Lao Tse said, “a leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done his aim will be fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves”. You need to learn the art of magic and the art of avoiding the left hand path of black magic and do it in a time of very limited human potency and maximal evil anti-human potency. We have groundwork in our language and culture, largely from Christianity but also from other sources.
I don’t knock or dislike naive people. It is better than being a cynical manipulator. I am just saying that in the times that we are moving into we will not be privy to such luxuries. It is just this luxury environment. Like where you can lounge about, do what you will and say anything. This is my favourite dwellling place but please this is not our geopolitical reality. This goldfish bowl mentality of British people when it comes to world affairs – I wouldnt normally say anything but I think it really needs to be said.
