Oh FFS, this is devastating. 🙁 Details are sparse atm but no doubt we’ll hear more in due course. I can’t think how it’d be suicide when he only just moved to Norway; ”In a shocking turn of events, Salwan Momika, a man who gained notoriety for burning the Holy Quran multiple times in Sweden, has been found dead in Norway. The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves across social media platforms and sparked a heated debate on freedom of speech versus religious sensitivity. The exact circumstances surrounding Salwan Momika’s death are still unclear, with Norwegian authorities launching an investigation to determine the cause of his demise. Speculations are rife on social media, with some suggesting foul play while others believe it may have been a case of suicide. The news of Salwan Momika’s death has reignited the debate on freedom of expression and the limits of free speech. While many argue that individuals have the right to express their opinions and beliefs, others believe that there should be limits to protect the sentiments of religious communities. The incident has also raised questions about the role of social media in spreading hate speech and inciting violence. Salwan Momika’s… Read more »
That is terrible, if true, which is expect it is.
Part of me is wondering if this is even true and that, in collusion with the Norwegian government, they’ve faked his death, he’s changed his appearance, taken a new identity and is living in peace over there finally. As far as conspiracies go ( and their habit of coming true ) it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.
Also, how bad would that look for the Norwegian government if it is true? He hasn’t been there 5 minutes and they have to admit to the world 1) they couldn’t protect a genuine asylum seeker fleeing actual persecution and, 2) Their problem with Islamists is so bad that they kill a man as soon as he arrives. He may as well have been deported back to bloody Iraq!
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for further details on this one because it just seems very strange to me. If he was going to get killed anywhere it’d surely be Sweden where he lived for years and was widely known for his anti-Islam stance. Sweden also has a way bigger problem with radical Muslims, no-go zones, gangs etc than Norway. But I hope it’s not true.
quelle surprise!
Probably accidentally beheaded himself while chopping fire wood!
Very sad news Mogs. I don’t accept the suggestion of suicide either. One way or the other he has been murdered but any official report will deny that possibility that’s for sure.
This brief note translated from a Norwegian site; ”The Police’s Immigration Unit is not aware that Salwan Momika has been found dead in Norway. Thus, the rumors buzzing internationally have been denied. – The police’s immigration unit (PU) is not aware that someone with the above name has died in Norway recently, we get a response from the communications department. Salwan Momika became famous in Sweden after he burned the Koran in public several times. Momika recently announced on his X account that he traveled to Norway. Here he is said to have applied for asylum. A person in his position attracts attention and has an increased risk. When the rumor started that he had been found dead in Norway, it was difficult to stop. Oslo Police confirmed that they have received several inquiries about the case, but say that the information is not correct.” https://www.document.no/2024/04/02/salwan-momika-funnet-dod-i-norge/ So just malicious rumours then? Thing is, he’s got an active Twitter account and hasn’t posted anything since 27th March, so if all is well with him hopefully he’ll be able to confirm that himself shortly, especially if he’s aware of these rumours that have spread like wild fire. If he is okay though… Read more »
Woke Agenda Tyranny In Drag – latest leaflet to print at home and deliver to neighbours or forward to politicians, including your local Reform Party candidate, your local vicar, media and friends online.
What’s really going on
Oh dear!
‘The investigation, which the outlets published on March 31, indicates that the infamous Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU) Unit 29155 (the same unit whose operatives attempted to assassinate Sergei Skripal with the Novichok nerve agent in the United Kingdom in 2018) may be using nonlethal directed energy or acoustic weapons to target a large number of US government personnel.
If the Russian GRU is confirmed to be responsible for numerous attacks against US military, diplomatic, and intelligence personnel and their families, however, then this would amount to a significant sustained Russian campaign of kinetic attacks against the United States designed to degrade US intelligence capabilities against Russia to which the United States has not publicly responded.’

This is likely to return as news, big news, after the U.S. Presidential election.
With the Russian Army already effectively depleted to the size of the British Army now in terms of capability, Putin will be poorly placed in a few months time if this report has legs…….
“With the Russian Army already effectively depleted to the size of the British Army now in terms of capability …”
Where on earth do you get your information from? The Ukrainian forces are being devastated – see https://eng.mil.ru/en/special_operation.htm.
OK, that is the Russian MOD reporting but do you think they are making all these details up?
And for the past week, Russia has been knocking out power stations and transport infrastructure throughout Ukraine using standard and hypersonic cruise missiles. One assumes they are preparing the ground for a big push at the end of the muddy season in Ukraine (April).
And the Washington Post reported that five US intelligence agencies concluded over a year ago that the ‘Havana Syndrome’ (your Unit 29155 reference) was “very unlikely” to have been caused by “an enemy wielding a secret weapon”. Why is the west digging up and publishing this old stuff now?
Try not to encourage the bot.
Let’s remind ourselves of the quality of Western reporting a year ago. It was on April 1st but it wasn’t intended as a joke.
“Vladimir Putin deeply depressed and ‘riddled with cancer’ – Top analyst makes shock claim”
https://www.gbnews.com/news/putin-news-russia-president-unwell-cancer-claims
Nothing wrong with the man at all! What absurd nonsense from d hand job!
Oh! Hang on….
‘On one of his trips, Putin, who was starting to think more about his health, immersed himself in a bathtub containing an odorant extract from blood-filled deer antlers…..’
Perfectly normal behaviour…..
‘Oncologist-surgeon Evgeny Selivanov is one of the most frequent medical attendants of Putin. Over the course of four years, the doctor has flown to him 35 times and spent a total of 166 days with the head of state. He was present near Putin both during his official stay in Sochi and during the head of state’s “disappearances”.
In August 2017, Putin disappeared from the public eye for a long time, from August 8 to 16. All this time six medics were in Sochi, including otolaryngologist Shcheglov and oncology surgeon Selivanov.
Only otolaryngologists Igor Esakov and Alexey Shcheglov fly to Putin more often than the oncology surgeon — the latter has flown to him 59 times and stayed by his side for 282 days. All three of them work together very often — in four years they have been to Sochi at least 18 times.’
‘Thyroid diseases, including cancer, are usually first diagnosed by an otolaryngologist, after which an oncologist and a surgeon get involved in the treatment…’
The man’s a picture of good health…….
You are so right, my mistake!
Okay, just say you are a senior official at the Ministry of Defence…… You’ve been there a while, long enough to see the following: On Feb. 16, 2024, in penal colony number 3, convict Navalny A.A. felt unwell after a walk, almost immediately losing consciousness. August 23, 2023: Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner mercenary group with close ties to Putin, died in a plane crash with top associates. February 27, 2015: A liberal lawmaker early in Putin’s presidency, Nemtsov, the reformist former regional governor and deputy prime minister, who was a rising political star in the 1990s but became one of Putin’s most vocal opponents, is shot dead. November 16, 2009: The whistle-blowing lawyer who had implicated Russian officials in an alleged $230 million tax fraud dies one year after being jailed July 16, 2009: The body of the renowned human rights activist, with bullet wounds to her head and chest, is found in Ingushetia, hours after her abduction. Natalya Estemirova had been investigating hundreds of suspected rights abuses in Chechnya, including kidnapping and murder. October 7, 2006: One of Russia’s most prominent journalists and a persistent chronicler of rights abuses in Chechnya, Politkovskaya is shot dead in her apartment building, in an… Read more »
Still no explanation of the closure of comments on the Princess Kate article over the weekend…………..?
Nothing.
Marcus Aurelius knew was apparently in touch with Toby Young and received an explanation and he insinuated that TY would be explaining himself.
But so far, crickets.
When I subscribed to DS, it was entirely on the strength of the content as I’d never heard of any of the people involved in it or the FSU. With the selective reporting and censorship on certain topics – it looks like just another website controlled by other interests.
“When Hatred of the Left Becomes Love for Putin”
‘What’s more, the grievance and resentment at the heart of Trumpist nationalism in America is in some ways quite similar to the mentality of Putinist nationalism in Russia: One obsesses over losing the culture war and being disrespected by the “elites”; the other, over losing the Cold War and being disrespected by the West.
Perhaps this explains other similarities in the two mindsets, from the penchant for provocation and in-your-face defiance of norms to the affinity for conspiracy theories.
Too many American rightists look at the Putin regime and see kindred spirits.’
Let us not forget that the worst bloodletting of the twentieth century occurred when like minded autocratic regimes, related not just by political culture but often by blood, fell out and went to war
“It’s an attack on ordinary people” Aside from what I see as the inappropriate jokey atmosphere (sorry for being a misery guts but I’m sort of fed up…) the fact that one of the commentators says “I don’t know where this is coming from…” shows a remarkable level of ignorance. It is specifically planned to destroy the idea of nation states – take your flag out, make it a sort of joke (and these guys just play along) and use terms like ‘gammon bait’ to make it even more a sort of thuggish thing to want to keep your flag as a source of pride. Weaponising the notion of patriotism. Thousands died under that flag, you idiots. They died for what it meant and it meant something – a union of nations, us, our nations. And now we’re expected to just laugh about it all. It’s all happening folks, the one world government is coming and we need to fight under that flag and resist that with all our might.

“Britain is now irrationally terrified of freedom. It should just rejoin the EU”
Says Sherelle Jacobs!
Thank goodness she says so, I feel safer already!
No idea who she is but I can guess she mixes only with the elites and estminster bubble types. I am sure they are completely ouit of their depth on everything so of course they are frightened to get up in the morning.
The only people who want to rejoin the utterly corrupt EU are the bloody muppets who have no understanding of what the EU is really about.
Can we start by properly enacting the Brexit this country voted for?
“An age that rejects God ends up killing its old”
“Another slice of Solent green anyone?”
“I dont mind if I do, ooh, you’ll make me fat🤭!”
I’ve not yet heard an argument against assisted suicide that adequately deals with the very real problem of people whose lives have become a torturous slog of pain without any pleasure. We readily accept – I’ve never heard anyone argue against this – that an animal in constant pain should be put out of its misery, but there seems to be a general agreement that we shouldn’t afford the same empathy to a human. All the arguments I’ve heard against assisted suicide are really arguments about misuse, so the debate should be around how assisted suicide is legislated and policed. That we now think of humans as being less worthy than a hamster to be allowed a humane end to suffering speaks for itself.
Case by case basis, not one size fits all!
“Euthanasia?, good, down the corridor, line on the left, one pill each! Next”
“the debate should be around how assisted suicide is legislated and policed.”
I would certainly like to have the option to “check out early” in specified circumstances, and for this to be both legally and culturally/societally ok, but I’m not sure how we get round the issue of giving people the option and thereby burdening them with the option at the same time. If old people feel (or could be convinced by family members) that they may be “a nuisance” or that they may be “spending the inheritance” or whatever, we have a residual problem that probably can’t be addressed simply by legislation and policing.

Are native Brits being replaced?
From this ONS report we can generate this chart:
Nearly 40% of live births in 2022 were to parents where at least one of them was not native born.
If you wish you can look into the data further to see which countries’ people are closest to replacing us. Note that this chart does not examine live births among second generation parents…
