Why the hell should any of us worry about wine production in 2100? Absolute garbage. Anyway, rumours are that the WHO are going to ban alcohol when they take over. Fat chance.
Every cloud (lol) has a silver lining – we had some lovely dry white from East Anglia last night 🙂
NewHall inery produces some excellent wine, including a limited supply of Red. I am not so keen on their pink fizz, or anyone else’s for that matter.
Interesting – had not heard of them but it’s not far from me, might see if I can find it in shops round there – or do you need to buy direct?
We get stuff made by Hazel End near Bishop’s Stortford, sold in shops round my way.
We have a winery in our very own Devon village. Thank the Lord for global warming.
Looking forward to the red grape making an appearance on our downlands soon. To hell with the WHO!
Amazing that all those geographically dispersed wine producing regions will suffer the same fate all at the same time .
Ah, don’t forget, that Fujitsu- the company with an impeccable IT background – have been or soon will be, rewarded with zillion pound contracts for smart / spyware to enable / disable consumers to buy items such as a pint, or a glass of wine, at the pub or supermarkets.
What does that remind me of? Racking my brain here…Wouldn’t be jab passports would it?

The BBC claims to be impartial. I read this BBC News report a few hours ago – “By Samantha Granville BBC News, Los Angeles” – about Robert F Kennedy choosing his running mate: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-68621617 Apart from describing RFK as an “anti-vaccine activist“ (which could be disputed, he’s in favour of safe vaccines), the article appeared to be quite impartial – until the very last sentence. Numerous recent opinion polls have shown that Kennedy is polling around or above 12%. For example, Vox this week states: “Kennedy is currently averaging about 12 percent in the polls, according to RealClearPolling.” https://www.vox.com/politics/24112624/rfk-jr-kennedy-shanahan-running-mate-2024-election The Daily Mail yesterday provided a link to an Ipsos poll earlier this month which shows that Kennedy is currently polling at 16%. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13237427/RFK-jr-hurt-biden-trump-voters-running-mate.html Rasmussen Reports, five weeks ago, stated: “RFK Jr. at 12%”and “third-party challenger Robert F. Kennedy Jr. maintains double-digit support.” https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/biden_administration/election_2024_trump_6_over_biden_rfk_jr_at_12 New York Magazine’s Intelligencer this week states that polling averages nationally now have “Kennedy at 15.0 percent”. Yet the very last sentence of the BBC News article states: “According to a January YouGov poll, just 1% of US voters would cast a ballot for Mr Kennedy in an election that featured Mr Biden and Mr Trump.” The BBC… Read more »
I believe the BBC invented the opening to every story about the Tories with ‘The government has denied that the proposed changes to [whatever] will cause [whatever catastrophe], But campaigners have said [essentially, no, it will be a catastrophe] over now to [left wing activist talking head] for the analysis.
BBC Radio 2 accidentally reports Tractor Protest in Westminster on Monday: I listen to the news bulletins like those behind the Iron Curtain use to do to find the latest propaganda but at the 6pm (and later 6.30pm) bulletin nothing about it until accidentally at the 6.25 the Traffic Report noted long delays around Westminster because of the tractor protest!
Kennedy polling much higher:
“Kennedy’s surging support across the country has made the election a three-way race. A recent Quinnipiac poll shows him leading Presidents Biden and Trump nationwide among voters under 35. An NBC poll shows 34% of people saying they could see themselves supporting RFK Jr. Another Quinnipiac Poll discussed on CNN shows Kennedy in a three-way tie with Presidents Biden and Trump among Latinos.
Kennedy leads Presidents Biden and Trump among independents. Independents continue to constitute the largest political bloc in the U.S., with an average of 43% of U.S. adults. In contrast, 27% of U.S. adults identify as Republicans and 27% of U.S. adults identify as Democrats.” from Robert F. Kennedy for President | Official Campaign Headquarters | Kennedy24

I didn’t know about this. Well I guess you can never be too ‘Islamified’ in a country that’s in the process of being conquered. The ”first time in history” is the giveaway here though. Why now?
”For the first time in history, Windsor Castle hosted a Ramadan event, with an iftar meal held on the grounds of the royal estate this weekend. (The iftar meal is the main meal of the day during Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. It is held right after sundown.)
The event was co-hosted by the Royal Collection Trust and the Ramadan Tent Project. Per the description, “Break fast with us this Ramadan at Windsor Castle! Open to people of all faiths and none, join us for a visit to the majestic State Apartments, followed by a meal after sunset in the Castle grounds. Your visit will begin with a self-guided tour of the breathtaking State Apartments at Windsor Castle, where you can admire the extraordinary interiors and beautiful artwork on display. After sunset, once the Castle has closed to the public, we will invite you to join us in the Castle grounds for a very special iftar meal.”

Chuckles has clearly surrendered.
No doubt with the full approval of Charles 3 who has always fancied himself in izlamic costume whenever he got the chance to don it; and shown himself sympathetic to the izlamic religion, especially when he asserted that he wanted to be ‘Defender of ALL Faiths’ rather than sticking to his remit of being Defender of THE Faith.
Maybe it’s something to do with the izlamic approval of polygamy that attracts him.
As if any of us Brits are the least bit interested in Ramalamadingdong, and why the hell should we be? Everyone who is trying their damnedest to izlamize this country is a rank traitor. EVERYONE.
Seconded 👍
Great post. About time “Ramalamadingdong” got a mention – much overdue.
“Lords approve law that would block UAE Telegraph takeover” If anyone for one second believes that foreign state influence doesn’t actually already control our press, then they are in cloud cuckoo land. It’s the continuation of the illusion that we are sovereign and that our media is a source of great British pride – (well, it is, but the wrong sort of ‘pride’ in my view) – when we know that the BBC is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the elitists via the leftists and only interested in propagating its own brand of mis- and disinformation.
Spot on Aethelred. Yet more gaslighting.
Oh look our courageous Lordships are standing up for press freedom. FFS.
Exactly, HP. Our ‘champions’ of press freedom…
What’s really going on? Another day, another silly made up little fib exposed: 24 March 2024: ‘Putin said authorities detained a total of 11 people in the attack, which also wounded more than 100. He called it “a bloody, barbaric terrorist act” and said Russian authorities captured the four suspects as they were trying to escape to Ukraine through a “window” prepared for them on the Ukrainian side of the border.’ 26 March 2024 ‘There’s no evidence of involvement by Ukraine, according to four people with close ties to the Kremlin. Putin was present at discussions where officials agreed there’s no link to Kyiv, but remains determined to use the tragedy to try to rally Russians behind the war in Ukraine, according to one person with knowledge of the situation, asking not to be identified because the matter is sensitive.’ “The security services know this was Islamic State, but after Putin’s remarks they have no choice but to follow orders and prove that there was Ukrainian or Western involvement,” 27 March: ‘“We placed our units on high alert to prepare for a combat situation,” Lukashenko said at a Tuesday press conference. “As a result they were unable to enter Belarus… Read more »

No comments on DS on the Baltimore bridge disaster? This is a pretty good detailed summary:

“Sarina Wiegman labels England kit ‘beautiful’ after Nike controversy”
Well, Dutchwoman Sarina, let’s change the flag of the Netherlands back to the original beautiful bright orange, white and bright blue, instead of the boring variation on the boring French Tricolour that was later forced upon Holland.
Baltimore Bridge ! Never heard of it until Biden pledges to fix it pronto !! Unreal how it happened , got weird feeling it was dodgy ! Then BBC latest ( popped up on my phone -Honest ) Low & Behold it’s a mega strategic cargo port , so this so called accident Will now cause Major Global supply chain problems for the foreseeable future .
The war is going to their plan but this is so obviously a battle plan it will take some explaining to deny otherwise !!
“Rep. Mike Collins (R-Georgia) posted on Tuesday morning that “Baltimore obviously won’t rename the new bridge after Francis Scott Key again,” the author of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“So, any guesses on the new bridge name?” Collins asked.
While Collins’ quip drew condemnation from many users, it did elicit some suggestions from right-wingers that ranged from “BLM Bridge” to “George Floyd Fentanyl Memorial Bridge.””
This may not be as far-fetched as it seems. Then again, others suggested that DEI was the cause, so the identity of the US pilot and his “apprentice” is also of great interest.
I ‘spect it will be bedecked with rainbow flags and be rainbow coloured – heck, it might even be called Rainbow Bridge…
Thanks for that Freddy. What a surprise eh?
👍
Further to the Baltimore Bridge news reports we discussed on here yesterday, all of the ship’s crew and two pilots were Indians, and none were hurt. The US pilot was only there to guide and advise the Indian pilots, as is usual, not to steer the ship himself. It was he who sprang into action, giving orders to drop the anchor on one side and steer away, as well as issuing the Mayday call to stop any more vehicles from going onto the bridge, which did save many lives. It wasn’t the two Indian pilots who did that. Dali pilot rushed to drop anchor and pull ship’s rudder before enormous vessel smashed into Baltimore’s Key Bridge but was unable to divert it, investigators reveal | Daily Mail Online This same ship the “Dali” was also involved in a collision at a port in Belgium in 2016. Dali cargo ship crashed while leaving port in Antwerp in 2016 suffering serious damage before Baltimore bridge collision | The Irish Sun (thesun.ie) So, as one commenter said in the Daily Mail yesterday, the names of the two Indian pilots and crew are of great interest, as even US politicians are now questioning whether… Read more »
