Poster Girl for SNP’s New Hate Crime Laws Works for ‘Islamist’ Group Accused of… Hate Speech
A poster girl for the SNP’s new hate crime laws is a member of an organisation with “Islamist beliefs” that “engages in hate speech and antisemitic conspiracy theories”, according to a probe by the Scottish Mail on Sunday. Here’s an excerpt:
A video uploaded to a Scottish Government website ahead of new anti-prejudice legislation coming into force next month shows a Muslim woman called Linsay Taylor discussing the impact of Islamophobic attacks.
Yet a probe by the Scottish Mail on Sunday can reveal the organisation Ms. Taylor works for, Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND), may fall foul of the laws she has been enlisted to promote.
Last week, U.K. Community Secretary Michael Gove used parliamentary privilege to name MEND as one of five extremist groups that could be banned from receiving taxpayer cash or contact with ministers and civil servants under a new crackdown. …
Fiyaz Mughal – who was forced to stand aside from the position of the U.K. Government’s Islamophobia tsar due to a widespread backlash from extremist groups – expressed deep concern at the Scottish Government’s decision to use a senior MEND employee to promote its new hate laws.
Mr. Mughal, who is founder of Muslims against Antisemitism, said: “One of the groups that created a whipping-up on social media against me was MEND.” …
He added: “People who are associated with the divisive group MEND should be reviewed in terms of their past comments before they are recruited onto any public sector campaign.” …
The Scottish Mail on Sunday can reveal she works as Head of Community Development and Engagement at MEND.
According to think tank the Henry Jackson Society, MEND has been accused of promoting “antisemitism and demonisation of Israel” and “engaging in hate speech and antisemitic conspiracy theories over social media”.

Islam is a primitive and barbaric ideology and is incompatible with western civilisation. The barbarians are no longer at the city gates but inside and in charge of many of our institutions. Lee Anderson was correct as was Enoch Powell many decades ago.
Seconded. Again. Hey you’re too quick off the mark for me today, lol..
Its too late. —–There is nothing that can be done. We brought the Trojan horse into our midst ourselves and in 20 years our daughters will be wearing headscarves to school and in 40 years it will be Burqas. —Dear squirming parasite globalists are you happy now?

…unless we can stick up for ourselves, and stand up to the Barbara Lerners of this world. Or maybe it’s too late. Maybe the Lerners, Espteins and Weinsteins have won, the battle for European civilisation is lost.
I have no idea why half a million young British men were sent to their deaths ‘to save Poland’ in the 1940s, but there we go. Perhaps it was a mistake, because ALL of the great European cultures have disintegrated since then.
And once the sheet truly hits the fan and we all become like Haiti, the Lerners and Weinsteins will bugger off to the promised land, where they automatically qualify for citizenship, leaving behind them a trail of cultural collapse. Mission accomplished.
Yes, they’ve been quietly buying up vast estates in their secret promised land called “Andinia” for decades, as exposed by Argentinian researcher Adrian Salbuchi, featured on the Henry Makow website “Save the Males” in 2016. That’s why they don’t really mind if Jerusalem falls to Islam.

Are there any Scots in Scotland?
It’s about time they found their voice!
For the last 15 years Scots have been hoodwinked by the anti British Pro EU eco socialists. They took their eye of the ball. They always used to vote Labour but fell out of love with Tony Blairs New labour and started to vote for the only other bunch of socialists available —The SNP.——– It really is truly bizarre.
This one left.
I remember years ago a small news report that Alex Salmond had fiercely castigated his own SNP staff for mentioning that immigrant invaders were trampling upon the human rights of Indigenous Scots in their own ancestral homeland.
He angrily ordered them never to mention that term “Indigenous Scot” again.
”Poster girl” looks suspiciously white with an equally suspicious non-Muslim name. Women converting to Islam are about as rational as black people converting to slavery. Nothing says ”progressive” like going back in time several centuries. Actually I met two ladies who’d converted to Islam once, because they’d married Muslim men. They were both on lithium, which I thought an interesting coincidence. So is this the part where they promote hate, intolerance and antisemitism whilst simultaneously crying ”Islamophobia” and waving their victim cards around like there’s no tomorrow? Speaking of which…; ”Doesn’t it seem like our politicians, media and Muslim activists are hellbent on proving Goebbel’s dictum “A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth” right? Islamophobia is the lie that refuses to die. By now, it is well known that the term was popularised by the Islamic Regime of Iran and The Muslim Brotherhood, to suppress any criticism of Islam. So, why is that, in 2024, democratically elected politicians in Britain are practically stepping on one another to be seen as the biggest proponent of this propagandist concept, designed to enforce Shari’ah on non-Muslims? How does this proverbial naked emperor get to waltz… Read more »
I have seen a few of those “white women” wearing all that garb. ——It is a bit like a Rangers fan marrying a Celtic fan and suddenly going about with green hoops on all the time. Are these women really saying that their identity up till now where they wore jeans and T shirt or skirt and blouse was all a big lie? Or is it that their new husband is telling exactly what they are allowed to wear? Yes your correct it is the second one.–So much for girl power huh?
Notice all the single red thumbs down. But they don’t have the guts to say why they disagree with you or I. ——–Total cowards.
😁 Yes indeed, regarding your footie analogy. Much like the dreaded face muzzles, it just screams “mental health issues”, as far as I’m concerned. Also, I think there should be an outright ban on anybody covering their faces with anything in public, I don’t care who you are or what your reason, because there is no rationale for such behaviour in a civilised society. It’s offensive, can be interpreted as threatening and you’re removing the most basic form of non-verbal communication: the ability for somebody to read your facial expression.
As a veteran poster on here now I don’t even notice ‘dislikes’, because I’m so accustomed, and therefore desensitised, to them after all this time. If I don’t have any red beneath my posts nowadays it feels a bit like when you go out and forget to put your apple-catchers on. You know something’s missing but you can’t put your finger on what. 🤔 You just know that it feels a bit draughty.🌪
Once upon a time in the past, I had an engagement with a bunch of juvenile toffs who apparently objected to my evident non-britishness. One of them tried to hug me, which I prevented. I was then told that I shouldn’t have done this because “that’s what we do in Britain!” One of them tried various attention whoring antics in front of me in order to force some kind of reaction, but I just ignored him. Next, he threw his drink at me. That was getting a bit too much, hence, I stepped up to him and methodically poured my ale over his head. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about his pals and one of them punched me in the head from behind, knocking the glasses off me face. But that time, I wasn’t yet very wise wrt such encounters, so, I dived to the floor in the hope to recover them, a futile effort as the guy had immediately stepped on them. The situation ended with me groping around on the floor in the dark while he kept kicking me in the head until security dragged him through the door, with him landing a parting kick before he was actually… Read more »
Maybe you should stay home watching telly.——-But this hugging nonsense is a recent bit of silliness, and these kind of things spread faster than covid on speed. Notice how almost everyone nowadays says “Absolutely” when what they really mean is “Yes” Or they call everything “amazing”, when it isn’t at all unusual. Or they say “Perfect” when what they really mean is “Thankyou”. —-It just takes some pop star or actress to say something and the next thing all those with no identity of their own latch onto it, which seems to about 90% of the population.

Hate Hurts: Linsay’s Story uploaded to the Safer Scotland website sees her recount the harrowing Islamophobia she has experienced, including death threats
[…]
She tells how she has been told to ‘Go home’ just for wearing a hijab and spat on in the street.
I’m pretty convinced the lady is just making that up (seems pretty boilerplate) or that these are extremely rare occurences as muslim women wearing traditional dresses are absolutely common-place and they don’t particularly seem to be afraid of harrowing islamophobia. Even assuming all these events have actually happened¹, they’re really absolutely not harrowing, just everyday impoliteness from random duckheads we all have to deal with every now and then as there are plenty of these.
This hate crime legislation is extremely poorly justified by improperly attaching adjectives like harrowing or grievious to perfectly harmless everyday events of impoliteness and bad manners.
¹ I once received a death threat from some presumably gay guy to whose attempts to flirt with me on Facebook I didn’t react in the way he had apparently liked me to react. Hence, I blocked him and continued minding my own business.
One day they are going down the high street in a skirt and blouse and the next they are covered in cloth——-Do these silly people not have any identity of their own? Nope, their husbands now tell them what their identity is to be.
Exactly
Dickheads will be dickheads, thugs will be thugs and they will seize on any excuse if they are in the mood
You forgot to mention…”no problem.”
As in walking up to the bar…
What can I get you Sir?
A pint of bitter please.
No problem.
( I should bloody think not, this is a pub. 🤫)
Or “No worries!” in the same situation. Everytime I hear that, I feel like replying with “I’m not particularly worried about it!”
The Henry Jackson Society is the leading exponent of neoconservatism in the UK today
grounded in a transatlantic tradition deeply influenced by Islamophobia and an open
embrace of the ‘War on Terror’.
Of course they are going to accuse MEND of every sin under the sun.
MEND have received accolades from many sources…..
ha ha ha ha……jeez. —–We should all get truth from the EU and the WEF is that it? Have you ever thought to try comedy for a living?
Reprehensible as they are they are less reprehensible than The Henry Jackson Society.
Ok let’s all just support the least reprehensible stuff.
The HJS seems to support a lot of things I consider quite reprehensible (eg, eternal US overlordship of Europe) but in the given context, that’s besides the point: Criticism of HJS members of MEND is either jusitified or it isn’t. This would need to be demonstrated regardless of them being HJS members.
The article doesn’t give any justification for criticising MEND.
It uses terms like “MAY fall foul of the law” and “COULD be banned from receiving taxpayer cash”.
It also states “According to think tank the Henry Jackson Society, Mend has been accused of promoting ‘anti-semitism and demonisation of Israel’ and ‘engaging in hate speech and anti-semitic conspiracy theories over social media’.
In 2016 Mend tweeted an article from the website Electronic Intifada called How the Israel Lobby Manufactured UK Labour Party’s Anti-Semitism Crisis.
A recent post engages with the idea that there is an Israeli ‘lobby’ influencing British and foreign government policy-making.”
If the HJS is trying to suggest that there is NOT an Israeli “lobby” they are delusional.
That’s incomplete. It’s missing
Mr Mughal, who is founder of Muslims against Anti-Semitism, said: ‘One of the groups that created a whipping-up on social media against me was Mend.
‘These groups seem to whip up campaigns against Muslims who are independent-minded, who do not follow their particular view of the world.’
Your remarks (with whose gut I generally agree) also miss the point: It’s part of accepted political theory that muslims/ Arabs expressing support for the Palestinian cause in public are really driven by genocidal, antisemitic hatred (as opposed to a desire to recover what they believe to be their ancestral homeland from a foreign invasion force). Hence, MEND is guilty of hate in the sense of this law, regardless of the remarks being actually true or not.
“It’s part of accepted political theory that muslims/ Arabs expressing support for the Palestinian cause in public are really driven by genocidal, antisemitic hatred (as opposed to a desire to recover what they believe to be their ancestral homeland from a foreign invasion force).”
Whose “political theory”?
The vast majority of Muslims are not anti-Semitic.
They do not hate Jews for what they are, they hate Jews for what they do, which is 75 years of brutal apartheid.
I’m sure any indigenous people hate those that violently occupy their land.
Whose “political theory”?
Of the political establishment in the UK. As I’ve pointed out at various times in the past, the so-called antisemites¹ where members of a lose political/ social movement opposed to the so-called Jewis emancipation in Germany (including Austria, obviously) in the 19th and in the first half of the 20th century. Hitler became an extremely prominent member of the antisemitic movement. Because of this, the government of Israel uses antisemites as umbrella term to smear all its political opponents.
¹ This is actually a German word and based on classification of language families done by the so-called Göttingen school of history in the late 18th century. Prominent semitic languages are Arabic, Aramaic and Hebrew, the name being derived from Noah’s son Shem (Sem in German). It follows that most of the people presently accused of antisemitism are actually semites, ie, Arabs, themselves. Go notfigure because political loudmouths never care about such details.
You said, “I’m sure any indigenous people hate those that violently occupy their land.”
You mean like the Indigenous Peoples of Europe, called Ethnic Europeans?
I agree there are far too many immigrants in the UK and Europe.
Multiculturism has been a dismal failure and leads to conflict.
Sounds like a good muslim name to me.
