Kit Knightly with a wholly different but exceedingly plausible interpretation of George Galloway’s Rochdale election “victory.”
That was a very interesting, powerful article, shedding new light in dark places. I disagree with its conclusion, however, that Galloway was an innocent who wasn’t really aware of the machinations. That’s just risible.
Sam Melia should never have been prosecuted.
Sunak’s speech didn’t “fall flat” for me – it was entirely predictable and confirmation we’re on a dangerous path in which dissent from the narrative is not tolerated.
Shocking that Sam Melia was imprisoned for breaking no law, only because the judge thought Sam “intended” to break a law in the future. Sam’s lawyer was obviously useless.
And this Orwellian Nightmare idea is now being put forward in Canada by their… wait-for-it… Muslim Justice Minister, who wants to imprison Canadians in their homes if judges think they “intend” to commit a “hate crime” in the future.
Similar to the former… wait-for-it… Muslim Justice Minister of Scotland, now First Minister, who tried to push through Sharia Law in Disguise, imprisoning Scots if judges thought they “intended” to commit “hate speech” against Islam in their own homes.
All this must be stopped in its tracks. You cannot imprison people who have committed no crime.
