This was published on Saturday, but it is a brilliant essay on the relationship between power and legitimacy:

And who holds hamas leaders to the same principles? Oh yes, no one does, they just do and say what they like unquestioned!

I guess telling lies day after day gets everybody down in the end. It is alleged that officers under Hagari in the Israeli propaganda operation have resigned.

This is the original report on Israel’s Channel 14:

https://www.now14.co.il/%d7%96%d7%a2%d7%96%d7%95%d7%a2%d7%99%d7%9d-%d7%91%d7%93%d7%95%d7%91%d7%a8-%d7%a6%d7%94%d7%9c-%d7%9c%d7%9e%d7%a8%d7%95%d7%aa-%d7%94%d7%9e%d7%9c%d7%97%d7%9e%d7%94-%d7%92%d7%9c-%d7%a2%d7%96%d7%99/

It appears to declare that Hagari has gone, too. Perhaps s hebrew speaker could confirm the content of the page?

Not from the Hebrew but apparently he has, with some interesting reasons given (Middle East Monitor via Now 14, another Hebrew language site):

I think that is based on the same story in Hebrew as Tamir Morag is the same reporter.

It’s refreshing to know and important to be reminded that people like this ‘pro-Palestinian’ chap do exist. He’s from Gaza, living in the U.S, and has lost many family members in proxy killings, courtesy of Hamas, but he correctly assigns the blame to where it belongs; ”Hamas continues to criminally & recklessly play roulette with the fate of 2.3 million Gazans by not accepting current ceasefire terms that even its chief backer, Qatar, is pressuring the group to take. It is well understood that a 6-week ceasefire will likely lead to a longer-term arrangement that sees all hostages released and prevents the resumption of hostilities. Sinwar & the Islamist psychopaths who lead Hamas want an Israeli invasion of Rafah during Ramadan because that’s their final desperate hope that the West Bank & entire region would be further inflamed during the holy month.  They think that mass civilian casualties would save them from a dishonorable defeat and are hoping to escape accountability by hiding behind tragic scenes of dead children and women who are going to be slaughtered; Hamas knows how deeply hated it is in Gaza and understands that when the war ends, there will be a reckoning and it will never again be able to fully control the coastal enclave… Read more »

Are the terms of the ceasefire publically available then? I’d like to read them.

I’m not aware that the latest one pager Netanyahoo put forward has been made public, but it has been widely reported to be reinforcement of military control of the strip and all access points/food/humanitarian aid, etc. for the release of the Israeli hostages. No mention of the West Bank or any reciprocal release of the over 7,500 Palestinians currently held in Gazan prisons, although it was reported yesterday that they were having to release some to make way for the dozens of new ones captured. Mainly women and kids, natch.

Thanks. The chap Mogwai cites seems to know exactly what they state, though, and what they will lead to.

Remember the US DoD data about military jab injuries that came out a couple of years ago and was rapidly manipulated then buried? Intriguing article on Robert Malone’s substack by Dr Crisanna L Shackleford about the implications of forced vaccination on military readiness for the US (and byi mplication other armed forces subject to similar mandates).

https://rwmalonemd.substack.com/p/us-warfighter-and-force-readiness

While the [Secretary of Defence] may not be fully aware of the ramifications, his actions, along with those of the Biden Administration, inadvertently triggered the PACT Act … and [Toxic Exposure Risk Activity] memorandum legislation. The passage of the PACT Act in 2022 underscores the critical nexus between toxic exposure, national security, warfare capabilities, and defense readiness posture. The mandate for COVID-19 injections represents a forced toxic exposure with catastrophic implications for our national security and defense readiness posture.

…the VA has a fraudulent [Standard Operating Procedure] that restricts acknowledging C19 toxic injections as qualifying for Toxic Exposure Risk Activity (TERA), despite legal frameworks intended to facilitate such recognition. How much more evidence will be needed to demonstrate the toxicity of these jabs and service-connected jab-injuries?

UnHerd’s Henry Hill discusses a new ONS survey revealing that only 12% of the public trust political parties, while 68% don’t.”

I read the UnHerd “article” but it is thin on detail and links to the FT – behind a paywall. I know the DS has a limited budget but unless you’ve got multiple subscriptions to MSM sites it’s hard to go beyond the headlines.

Regarding this one, it’s only sign of a possible “looming populist revolt” if the figures historically have been higher, but I am not convinced they have. Don’t forget, we’re in an economic downturn and getting towards the end of a government that hasn’t exactly covered itself in glory. A lot more than 12% trusted the state (government and bureaucracy) enough to enthusiastically follow “covid” restrictions and take experimental medical products marketed as “vaccines”.

If I have interpreted this correctly (I think I have but it’s vague), I find this disappointing. Part of an email I received from the Free Speech Union, of which I am a member:

As Kemi Badenoch, the Business Secretary, pointed out in an exchange with Dodds, if this definition of ‘Islamophobia’ was universally accepted – and we all agreed it should be stamped out – it would create a blasphemy law via the back door.

The subject is this essay Banning Islamophobia: Blasphemy Law by the Backdoor – The Free Speech Union, the thrust of which I agree with. My concern is the phrase in bold, which seems to be saying that “Islamophobia” (presumably as defined by the FSU rather than the over-broad definition they are opposing) should be stamped out. I’m not sure that the FSU should be wanting to “stamp out” anything, except censorship and restrictions on freedom of speech, nor should it be attempting to define “Islamophobia”. Whatever happened to “I do not like what you say but defend your right to say it”?

Interested to hear what others think.

The problem I have is with the term “stamped out”. My understanding of all phobias is that they are irrational fears. Irrationality is normal but not conducive to reasoned debate. The answer is to encourage free thinking with regard to whatever the topic of a phobia is, not censorship.

Yes I don’t find the term “stamped out” appealing

It’s time to eliminate the concept of ‘mental health’” – The concept of ‘mental health’ is a hypochondriac’s, narcissist’s, shirker’s and social security fraudster’s charter, says Theodore Dalrymple in the Spectator.”

Absolutely spot on! Another crucial point he made was this:

“If you play a part long enough, after all, it is what you become: habit changes character.”

I never understood why people claiming to be “depressed” were given extra benefit money, much more than a “healthy” unemployed person. What was the extra money for, I asked someone, but received no reply. Prescription drugs? No, that’s on the NHS. What then?, I wondered.

It seems the Globalist plan is to physically and mentally debilitate the UK population, by tempting and bribing them with extra money if they pretend to be ill. And as Theodore Dalrymple said, if they play a part long enough, that’s what they become.

Former SAS soldier in his 60s jailed for six months

How odd that only a year after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this legislation:

Plan to end all NI Troubles prosecutions confirmed – BBC News

“The government has confirmed it intends to bring forward legislation to ban all prosecutions related to the Troubles.

Speaking at Prime Minister’s Questions, Boris Johnson said the legacy proposals would allow Northern Ireland to “draw a line under the Troubles”.”…

…he was ousted by Catholic Liz Truss, and all mention of this legislation was buried and forgotten.

Is the Vatican now in charge of the UK?
