Are people that are non-white going to be looked on favourably and be given special treatment for ever more, while white people are continuously othered then? It’d be interesting to know just how many of those doing the ‘othering’ and demonstrating favouritism are actually themselves white. ”Only Black, Asian or minority ethnic people can apply to The Guardian’s work experience schemes, causing a wave of anger online as white working-class people are excluded. The Guardian and Observer Positive Action Schemes offer a two-week work placement in London for those in an “underrepresented group”. People who are disabled are also eligible to apply. Justifying the placement, the publication said: “The Guardian believes there should be a better representation of our diverse society in the media and each summer offers two-week work experience placements for those from underrepresented groups who are aiming to start a career in journalism.” However, the criteria to be able to apply has riled many up online, with critics slamming the Guardian for failing to extend the opportunity to white-working-class people. “I think I’m correct that white working-class males are the most educationally disadvantaged group and have least upwards social mobility of any group,” one user said on… Read more »

Nota VERY bene – the Left have a deep and abiding hatred of the working classes, especially the white one. Whenever any sign of the working classes moving within Labour, up op the middle classes to stamp on them. Witness the Fabians. Witness Blair and New Labour.

Met police demonstrating their authority and being duly respected in return yesterday. Good to know who’s boss, I think. The far-right are getting to be a royal pain in the arse aren’t they?;

The Canada hysteria over nonexistent bodies is reminiscent of the McMartin pre-school hysteria and the Haute La Garenne hysteria. The Nova Scotia non-abuse compensation scandal has a similar basis. Similar phenomena occurred throughout history. Some of these were studied by Bartholomew and Evans in the first edition of their book Panic Attacks. The common thread is the ease with which the populace becomes convinced that some Horrible History has occurred, coupled with media collusion and politicians’ exploiting the delusions.

But no graves or human remains! In February 2009 States of Jersey Police sent the fragment [of “human skull”] to Kew Gardens in the UK for testing. In May 2009 the Kew experts stated that the fragment was a piece of […] coconut.

By the end of the excavations and investigations at Haut de la Garenne in July 2008, police had sifted over 150 tonnes of earth. 65 human milk teeth were found, coming from between 10 and 65 individuals aged between 6–12 years and generally seeming to have been shed naturally. Discounting a large quantity of animal bones, only three bone fragments (the largest 25 mm = 1 inch long) were identified as possibly human; two of them have been dated to a range from 1470 to 1650 and the other 1650 to 1950.

It’s not just Galloway who worries the oligarchy; Bridgen worries them too.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/my-mp-husband-andrew-bridgen-was-captured-by-antivax-cult-qnjn2dnbd

Interesting detail: “She alleges her husband was told by his new friends to cut her adrift because she was an MI6 spy.”

Right in the middle of his legal battle with Hancock too. No subtlety!

Chunk of story on Reddit, of all places. Note the appalling language used – ‘radicalisation’, ‘sect’ ‘the paranoia and misinformation that fuels the antivax movement’, ‘indoctrination and the extremist ideology’ plus nauseating emotive tidbits such as ‘“I watched my life shatter into pieces as I lost access to the household bank account … and kicked out on the street with a child just in time for Christmas”. And absolutely nothing about his own vax injury of course, or the mountains of evidence of vax damage being published daily, or the increasing number of people waking up to it. They tried something similar with Russell Brand recently to shut him up too. How’s that going?

https://www.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics/comments/1b4xat1/my_mp_husband_andrew_bridgen_was_captured_by/?rdt=40853

I tried opening Bridgen’s new website but it has a ‘bandwidth exceeded’ notice. Hacked already? This was the tweet.

Amazing. It looks like Andrew fell into a “Honey Trap”.

I remember years ago on Youtube, a former British intelligence officer explained how “Honey Traps” are set to discredit the target. They send many different types of potential romances your way, seemingly at random, until they find out “your type”, with which to ensnare you.

Surely this must be made into an Ealing comedy? A title like ‘Not on the Buses‘ comes to mind with a plot where a bunch of drivers and transport managers sit around in the depot fiddling with their phones and not doing any bussing about at all.

Shocking double standard of support for Ukraine and Israel “The Ukrainians must stop fighting in case they defeat Putin.” Have you heard any of our leaders say that in the last two years? Errr….pretty much yes……… Trump: “One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, ‘Well, sir, if we don’t pay and we’re attacked by Russia, will you protect us?’” “I said, ‘You didn’t pay. You’re delinquent.’ He said, ‘Yes, let’s say that happened.’ No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.” Lloyd Austin: “We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine.” That meant Russia should “not have the capability to very quickly reproduce” the forces and equipment that had been lost in Ukraine. Amb. Nuland: ‘Well, wars generally end in a negotiation of some kind but we’re not going to pick that moment for Ukraine. Ukraine will make those decisions for itself. It needs to be in a strong position and Putin needs to see that this will just get worse for him before he will move at all… Read more »

Lifesaving medical equipment bought during Covid set to be destroyed”

This story stinks. What they are implying is that every single ICU, CCU, HDU, SCBU, A&E and other critical care/high dependency units in the country is fully equipped and in no need of additions or back-ups. That would be an out and out lie – there are critical shortages across the board. Either this equipment is faulty in some way, or doesn’t meet British kite mark standards, or this is/was a financial boondoggle and certain individuals have made a shed-load of money from it. Totally corrupt.

Jesus. I was a regular listener to Woman’s Hour, having been raised o it when Mum did the ironing. Abandoned it, what, 15 years ago, when Jenni Murray decided it was in fact Transgender Hour.

Today I only ever listen to to remind me why I don’t. Always works. The endless voiding of DEI turds from Radio 4 is appalling. Beyond hope.

“The reality is the people of Rochdale didn’t reject the politics of hate,” writes Dan Hodges in the Mail. “They seized it hungrily.”

Oh how marvellous to watch them squirm, desperate to find reasons for their failure, lashing out in their death throes using all the language of a ten-penny Mills and Boon bodice-ripper yarn. ‘They seized it hungrily’ – so wonderful to be able to laugh long and loud on a chilly March Sunday morning. I could write this for them if they like with equally preposterous language “The unwitting people of Rochdale were hypnotised by the evil Mr Galloway and his ever-present ‘Talking Hat’ into hating the pure souls of the Knights of the Conservative Labour party who only wanted to make their lives better….” TBC
Honestly, they must think we’re all stupid.

Fire fears force recall of 2,000 British electric buses” – Almost 2,000 electric buses built in the U.K. but powered by batteries made in China worth in the region of £800m have been recalled over fears their heating and air con units could catch fire, the Mail reports.

Really? £800,000,000 / 2,000 = £400,000. Do buses really cost £400,000 each? It seems excessive.

From what I can dig up, £400000 to £500000 each dependent on specs!
A diesel route master is around £400000! For the diesel you’ll probably get 20+ years of service.
For electric,..unproven!

The article states;

”Initial investigations suggest the fault may be in the air conditioning and heating system.”

It was not until recently that I realised the electric vehicle batteries needed their own heating and air-conditioning unit to remain safe and functional. So that some of the vehicles battery power is needed to power the unit that stops the battery itself getting too hot or too cold! In that way electric vehicles are not as simple as first suggested and seem to be extremely vulnerable to their own air-con system.

All in all it does make you wonder if enlarging the size of lithium-ion batteries to be able to power a vehicle was really such a good idea?

““A Confected Crisis” – Valid concerns about anti-Muslim bigotry should not be used as an excuse to appease Islamist fanatics, argues Oscar Clarke in Quillette.”

There is no such thing as “valid concerns” about any kind of bigotry, which is defined as:

“obstinate and unreasonable attachment to a creed or opinion and intolerance of others,” 1670s, from the French bigoterie = “sanctimoniousness”.

Bigotry is not a criminal act. It’s just a normal part of the human experience.
