Anti-Ulez Campaigners Block “Every Camera” in London Borough

Protestors against Sadiq Khan’s Ulez scheme have reportedly obstructed “every camera” in Sutton. The Telegraph has more.

Around 400 protesters took part in the borough-wide demonstration, which organisers say involved obstructing more than 80 cameras on Sunday afternoon.

Bus driver Kingsley Hamilton, of campaign group Action Against Unfair Ulez, said the demonstration meant that no Ulez camera was functioning in the South London borough – as at least 20 other cameras have already been damaged or removed.

Motorists driving through Sutton were previously not impacted by the Ultra Low Emission Zone daily charges of £12.50 per day for non-compliant vehicles.

However, London Mayor Mr. Khan’s expansion of the scheme last year saw around 90% of the borough fall under Ulez rules overnight.

The decision was fiercely opposed by the council and a petition set up to delay the expansion until public transport in Sutton had “improved significantly” amassed thousands of signatures.

On Sunday, between 12pm and 3pm, activists held up signs in front of cameras which enforce the scheme allowing motorists with non-compliant vehicles to drive through the borough for free.

Farmers, now this.
Direct democracy is the tip of the spear in the war against the establishment.
There are far more of us than them and they are terrified of us.
Remember too, another strategy: don’t give your money to people who hate you. Shop local. Form networks.

And here is a positive spin on the EU farmers protests. I am not sure I agree with the author, the EU backoff is simply temporary but there is no doubt it rattled ‘fond of lying’ and Co.

The salaries of the chief executives of leading charities are notoriously difficult to find. However, in 2021-22 Hilary McGrady of the National Trust was paid £199,614. Tanya Steele of WWF UK was paid £137,714 in 2019.
In the same year, Chris Sherwood of the RSPCA was on £150,000.”

Just found this over at TCW.

All together now…

Donations to charities are just secondary taxation for the gullible.

And this should help people understand why it is absolutely criminal that the National Trust committee gets to use the discretionary proxy vote. They get to vote themselves in office.

I tend not to read articles like ‘racist countryside’ because the concept is too absurd to get your head around.

I commend the good people of Sutton. At last some people are waking up.

The Khant will of course keep pushing because he’s simply too pig-headed (😀) to do anything else but he’s potentially a marvellous fire starter rhetorically speaking.

There’s no legal requirement to pay ULEZ as they don’t display the cost. Car parks rely on your passing the sign being you contracting with them as you know full well how much the car park would cost (also illegal but that’s for another time) – however ULEZ signs don’t display the cost of the tax and it is for that reasons (and many others) which means it is unenforceable.
