Women Warn Fulham LTN Forces Them to Walk Streets Alone at Night

Female Uber passengers in London’s Hammersmith and Fulham area have warned that they feel unsafe walking alone at night due to drivers avoiding a low traffic neighbourhood (LTN). The Telegraph has more.

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham set up an LTN near Wandsworth Bridge Road in the west of the capital a year ago.

The South Fulham LTN means that “out of borough” motorists risk fines if they ignore no entry signs that close roads to through traffic.

While black cabs and local minicabs are exempt from paying to enter the LTN, Uber drivers risk hefty fines for doing so.

Hillary Cannon, the owner of Barrefly, a fitness studio on New Kings Road, has written to the Labour-run authority complaining its latest LTN is risking the safety of “young women”, some of whom are having to walk alone through Fulham’s streets late at night after being dropped off on boundary roads.

Explaining how one 22 year-old woman had a 15-minute walk home at 3am while the Met Police was hunting a local sex attacker, she wrote: “I felt a very real sense of horror wash over me… This [LTN] scheme appears to have created a perfect hunting ground for him and others like him.”

Those wooden planters appear to be… erm, flammable?

Rochdale council tried something like this in one of their ‘diverse’ areas. They lasted about a week.

And speaking of Rochdale…this happened yesterday. It obviously doesn’t even need to be late at night for these sorts of incidents to happen, not in the infamous Rochdale anyway. Females will always be seen as fair game for a certain type of sicko within society. The segment is sparse on details but look at the ages of the alleged perpetrators. No apologies for my mind being wired now to jump to a particular conclusion until proven otherwise, so I don’t know…”like father like son” perhaps?;

”People have been reacting with shock to the reports that four young boys have been arrested by police on suspicion of rape, after an incident in Rochdale on Saturday evening, around 6pm.
Police remain on the scene of where the suspected crime took place, a Morrison’s car park in Rochdale. A blue tent and cordon have been put up at the scene, which is near the Newbold tram stop.
It has been confirmed by Greater Manchester Police that the victim of the alleged rape is a female child. Investigations into the shocking suspected rape are ongoing.”

I wonder if any details about possible suspects e.g. if they’re likely to be of South Asian heritage will be released. If it turns out that this is the appearance of the suspects I bet the woke MSM won’t mention it and they certainly won’t mention the M word (Muslim).

I’d say if anything we’d see these sorts of details leaked on social media unofficially, possibly by locals. But especially due to the boys’ ages you can put money on the press never revealing significant details like ethnicity. In a way though, that shouldn’t even factor into what is an absolutely heinous crime, if proven to be true, irrespective of what colour the perps are. I’d put money on the girl being white though. Hope we learn more in due course. One would presume a crime such as this would be plastered all over national news though, given the uniqueness. Gang rape of a child by four boys, the youngest 12yrs?? I’d say that should be headline news-worthy.
What I also can’t understand though is how come it could happen at a Morrisons car park at 6pm when surely it’d still be busy then with people doing their shopping?

Everyone’s looking at their phones, oblivious to what is going on around them in answer to your last question.

Yeah but not when they’re pushing their trolleys to the car or loading up the boot they’re not. Or the staff who go out and collect all the trolleys. And did no windows look out onto that precise area? If not then the culprits obviously did well finding the specific spot where they’d be completely out of the view of any witnesses. Was that sheer luck or premeditation? And presumably none of the security cameras covered the spot the alleged attack took place.
Anyway, too many questions and not enough answers at the moment but I hope there’s more revealed later today. Such as the circumstances leading up to the alleged attack, and were any of the parents actually inside Morrisons at the time?

Similar thing in my town a lady was raped by an asylum seeker, the local communists felt the need to claim he was a local even though he required a translator in court!

Introduce a curfew – for public safety of course.

What’s the fuss? I’m sure the terrified women are comforted by knowing that their sacrifice serves the greater environmental good. I mean this program must cut the UKs carbon emissions by about 0.01%.

I fully understand young, or any, women’s concern but have to admit I’d never considered that this would be an unintended consequence of LTN’s. I bet the woke councillors didn’t consider it or just didn’t give a damn in their rush to appear green.
