£10 Billion Written Off Value of PPE Bought During Covid

The Government has written off £9.9bn of the £13.6bn it spent on personal protective equipment (PPE) in the pandemic due to the gear being unusable or having lost its value. Sky News has the story.

Accounts published by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) also show the Government has no idea exactly how much PPE it has stored.

“Nearly all” of the PPE held in warehouses or containers is set for disposal.

DHSC said some of the PPE it had “was not usable by the department because it was defective or not suitable for use within the health and social care sector”.

“Other PPE was not defective, but the department will not be able to use it before its expiry date,” it added.

Gareth Davies, the Head of the National Audit Office, said for the past two years he had to limit his investigations because he was “unable to obtain sufficient, appropriate evidence to support the PPE recorded in the department’s accounts”.

He said the Government estimates it would cost £70m to take a full stock-take of the PPE that is currently held.

Because of the change of market conditions and the state of the equipment, material the Government spent £13.6bn on is now worth £3.7bn – a decrease of 73%.

Critics pointed out the £9.9 billion wasted is “more than it would cost to give every nurse in the NHS a 100% bonus on their salary”.

A cross-party report from the Public Accounts Committee of MPs in June 2022 said the department’s “haphazard purchasing strategy” meant money had been wasted on unusable products.

Right, how many MP’s and senior civil servants are going to be sent down for this?

Or perhaps just sacked?

Ok, can we just have a directory of all the guilty tw$ts?

Crikey, the silence is deafening. I suspect we are on the verge of a “lessons will be learned.,”

It’s enough to make me think that there is a deliberate intent to bankrupt the country…no surely not.

There’s no point having a VIP procurement fast-track if you can’t help your friends make a decent profit. Concerns about quality and waste would stop it from being “fast”.

Is that 10 friends making a billion each, or 10000 friends making a million each?

When the people and the media and the opposition were baying for PPE, and blaming the PM for every death, however it occurred, and we were told that the prices had gone up 10 fold and it was poor quality or didn’t do the job, but the demands kept coming and the photo’s of the poor nurses in the cut up bin bags, who amongst the classes cared enough to stop and ask if we were spending wisely. Well, no-one did, for to delay PPE was a crime worthy of special punishment. We sat through live broadcasts from Istanbul, as a plane loaded with crappy facemasks was trying to set off and bring us some safety. It got delayed 24 hours and everyone went nuts.

Actually, ‘everyone went nuts’ is not a bad way of describing the whole time.

When the people and the media and the opposition were baying for PPE,…”

All part of the staging. Complete fiction and the likes of Bozo, Whitless and the rest knew it.

All bloody theatre. Never forget the end goal – the Jibby Jabs.

£34 billion for trick and treat – a failed system
£ 10 billion for wasted PPE
£ Billions wasted in unused poisons…
We only spent £500 billion on the pandemic…for what?
What was the actual outcome and result of this fracking bloody fascism? Except fraud, graft, greed, medical nazism and NWO propaganda?
Frack I hate these bastards.
And apparently few sheeple care.

Well that lot’s going to do wonders for the environment.
Soon to be mentioned on MSM – then there’s the environmental impact of the zillions of crap that was used….

According to The White Hats channel on Telegram Texas has mobilised its National Guard and in defiance of sleepy Joe installed even more razor wire in Eagle Pass.

Governor Abbot has declared “Texas will NOT back down.”

Looking tetchy.

Governor Abbott’s statement. 6 million immigrants in 3 years – and we think we’ve got it bad…..

Thanks for posting Governor Abbot ‘s letter.

It certainly looks as if matters could become ‘tasty’ in the US.

The possibility of civil war is increasingly on the cards.

Dunno about that – 35 other states have pledged support, and this from the border patrol guys: “Rank-and-file BP agents appreciate and respect what TX has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America.”

That is encouraging but if the Dems are forced to back down Trump has it in the bag. Unless he dies at the hands of a deranged shooter.

Hang on a minute – haven’t we got the Disease X plandemic on the horizon, scheduled for later this year or early next? Couldn’t they keep all this PPE ‘just in case’ or are they planning on raiding the national coffers again for that one?

There is an absolute intention to bankrupt the country.

The theory is that when we have to go begging to the IMF / BIS they will dictate terms and our nominal government will have to agree whatever terms are demanded. A proper lock, stock and barrel scenario. They won’t just own the country but everything in it. Including us.

Not sure what’s next? Destroy the economy, world war, another pandemic disease x or maybe a cyber attack as fortold in Obama’s latest production. They’ll keep pushing climate meltdown but something big is on the horizon.

No, no, no! The stuff we’ve got is Covid PPE, not disease X PPE. Also it will all be out of date. Better no PPE than out-of-date PPE!

We need a one-off very high wealth tax to reclaim all of the money looted since the Tories first privatised monopoly utilities.

(We could allow the tiny proportion of the uber-rich who genuinely made their megadosh through entrepreneurial activity in competitive markets to appeal to juries for exemption from the tax.)

Much more fun to give them two choices, either pay up or have one of the deadly batch ‘safe and effective’ jabs inserted in their bodies.

It’s so easy to spend other people’s money.

Especially if any attempt by anyone not to provide the money lands them in jail.

Without the ability to cut the flow of funds, there’s no real incentive to spend the money carefully.

I’m afraid that as long as there is a coercive system of taxation there will be abuse and misuse. Any belief that there might be restraint and care is pure fantasy.

We need to punish the useless, bone-idle fat slappers, not reward them.

The Conservatives were in charge – aided and abetted by the so called ‘opposition’.

Its only fair they reimburse the taxpayers for embezzling the public pot! Surely they have wealthy donors and followers?
