Parents Who Refuse Children Gender Change Face Seven Years in Jail in Scotland
Parents who refuse to allow their children to change gender would face up to seven years in jail under SNP plans to ban ‘conversion therapy’. The Telegraph has more.
Proposals published on Tuesday state that actions designed to “change or suppress” another individual’s gender identity, causing them physical or psychological harm, would become illegal under the radical law.
SNP ministers acknowledged that so-called conversion practices often took place in a “family setting”, raising the prospect that parents could be criminalised if they refuse to go along with their child’s declaration that they are transgender.
Stopping someone from “dressing in a way that reflects their sexual orientation or gender identity” was put forward as an example of an action that would become illegal, even if a parent believed they were acting in a child’s best interests.
A consultation states that alongside new criminal sanctions, preemptive civil orders could be obtained against parents or religious leaders, even where conversion practices had not yet taken place.

Providers of services aimed at suppressing or changing a person’s sexual orientation or gender would be targeted, with taking someone out of Scotland to access “conversion” services also to become illegal.
A consultation stated that parents or religious leaders would not be criminalised for “expressing concerns”, “advising a child against medical interventions” or “not actively supporting” a child’s decision to dress as a member of the opposite sex.
However, it stated that when actions became “coercive” or “controlling” then the law would apply, even in cases where they were motivated by “a desire to help or protect the person”.
Those accused of conversion therapy would have a legal defence if they could show their actions were “reasonable”.
However, this would apply only in “a very small number of circumstances” such as to prevent a child “from engaging in illegal or dangerous behaviour”.
Anyone breaching a civil order, which could be obtained by social workers or activist groups on behalf of alleged victims, could face two years behind bars.
The maximum penalty for those guilty of a criminal offence would be seven years in jail, an unlimited fine, or both.
The SNP has chosen to push ahead with the law despite the damage inflicted on the party by Nicola Sturgeon’s controversial gender self-ID law, which was blocked by the U.K. Government.

Well, I reckon there is no such thing as gender outside of grammar.
I think we should try to use language as carefully as possible and avoid using the language of the enemy because their language is designed to normalise lunatic and/or evil ideas.

No, that’s list filler material for parties operating under a proportional representation voting system. If the diagnosis isn’t entirely fake (possible), this lady is guaranteed to be a comfortable front-end for the people who really control Scottish policy. They wouldn’t want to deal with politicians trying to implement ideas of their own.
Agreed on everything except the post-script. Sex change is possible in part, but it can never be anatomically complete, i.e, a male can never produce ovaries. But consequent to surgery and hormone replacement, it is reasonable that someone may identify as a man or woman, as long as it is either/or, not both (or none).
And it is absolutely unreasonable that someone identifies as the opposite of their sex at birth, having not undertaken any of the above. The only reason anyone deems “conversion” therapy necessary is to undo the unnatural “conversion” they have already undergone by being actively encouraged by parents or teachers to change gender / sexual orientation.
I would argue that a “sex change in part” is not a change at all – just disfiguring and probably dangerous surgery and drug-taking.
People can “identify” as whatever they like (though I think it’s morally wrong to encourage or indulge this) but they have no right to force anyone else to indulge their madness, and for the sake of simplicity I would say that for legal purposes you should stay as the sex you were at conception, regardless of how you get yourself chopped about.

Sex is determined by chromosomes. I’m sorry to burst your bubble but gene technology is a long way off from chromosome editing of live organsims with a biologically functional end-result. And even then, it wouldn’t have changed the sex of an existing person, just destroyed one and replaced it with another.
So, it will be illegal to try to prevent your child from being surgically sterilised; it would be illegal to explain to your child the consequences of surgery. A boy would have his genitals removed and a non-functional pouch created, at great effort and with great discomfort, in order that another man could insert his tackle. A girl would have her ability to bear a child destroyed, and a non-functional imitation male organ created. Who would partner these mutilated individuals? These unfortunates would probably have a lifetime of loneliness, mental anguish, incontinence and urinary tract infections, and they would still be the same sex as when they were born. This obsession, this belief in the impossible, flies in the face of reality. And they want to make a law to impose this belief on the whole population? There are no words to express how deranged these abusers must be, they are totally sick in the heid.
And to do all this to very young impressionable people with no clue how they may feel 5 or 10 years later.
That is the key thing. If it weren’t for the plague of trans-activism infiltrating vulnerable young minds, these kinds of issues would never have seen the light of day. It is the fact that kids are being groomed to believe in totally unnatural processes and daft gender ideology, it’s the kind of thing that requires persuasion and psychological manipulation to get anyone on board .

The problem with getting totalitarian control up and running, from the state’s perspective, is that people do have some say over education polices, health policy and so on, and leaders want to stay in power and candidates want to be elected. Given that large numbers of children who are gender confused grow up to be same sex attracted adults convincing them they’re actually trans is a form of conversion therapy as it tries to convert them away from being gay. Around here we have a lot of deer, the male/daddy/buck red deer are around 40% bigger than the female/mummy/does, the bucks have enormous antlers and a dreadful bellow. If children have a good grounding in the natural world they will know that an enormous buck with enormous Antlers cannot pretend to be a lady deer, the idea is ludicrous. With raptors the females are often significantly larger than the males.
Nature has no time for any gender nonsense, reproduction and babies are the major priority and when it comes to having babies you are either the mummy or the daddy. If children have a thorough grounding in the ways of the natural world it helps them to see that never mind whether you wear a dress or business suit, the important thing is whether you are, or have the potential to be a mummy or a daddy.
In that way this trans-gender business has gone so far as to be an affront to nature and a rejection of our basic humanity. It is insidious in that it runs counter to the basic human need and function of reproduction and having babies.
