The CBE should be taken not given back. She needs to be treated robustly. BTW the honour offered to Alan Bates is lower (LOWER!) than Vannells got. Shocking. We need to know who recommended her, who did the DD and which numpty PM authorised it. Well, who were they. Note that Andrew Bridgen was not mentioned in the Docudrama, nor the documentary and not in press comment. He is being frozen out even though he was one of very very few on politics or media who paid any attention at the time it mattered. Who thinks the Law Society will investigate Herbert Smith. Why is this not embarassing for the Tories. The issue has been around throughout their 13 disastrous years in office. Why did they not ask questions. Ed Davey was a Cabinet Minister uner Cameron-Clegg, for goodness sake. To try to protect the Tories by saying it was labour and LibDem issue is pathetic. Zahawi might have asked the questions but what did he do after becoming a Cabinet Minister – nothing in capitals. You have made two errors.
1 the CPS could have called in the case at any time. One would have thought they would at least monitor reversals by the Court of Appeal.
2 There is no known actual cashshortfall. The wording of the Horizon system was “balancing” but that was not used in a proper accounting way. If it was the PO could point to an actual cash shortfall.
I’d have expected Toby to be more (oh what’s the word I’m looking for?) uh, sceptical about statins. They’re brought to you by the same people with the same financial motivations as the covid vaccines.
It’s good news and a great result for Carl and The FSU, but, at least in part, this award was for discrimination by Lloyds against Carl’s disability, so perhaps rather less of a victory against the woke tyranny than it appears at first sight.
And, apparently, he is only getting to keep 350k – after deductions. Poor sod.
