Tony Blair banned fox hunting after taking £1m donation, claims Lord Mandelson

Blair’s Britain: Socialist Fascism; venal, corrupt, as totalitarianism always is.

The biggest wildlife welfare disaster this country has ever seen, uncountable numbers of foxes shot and wounded, left to die unrecovered as a consequence of the two hunting dog limit imposed by this hideously barbarous piece of parliamentary legislation, unsupported, as it was, by any of the latest peer reviewed science.

Of course Blair should lose his knighthood (will never happen); grotesque that the butcher of the British Army should ever have received one in the first place.

Has France reached peak ‘cultural enrichment’? A look at the sorry state France is now in, and some of the more high profile acts of Islamist violence against citizens. Every day is a Jihad day in Europe, it seems; ”While the influence of fundamentalist Islam is less marked among older Muslims, 74% of Muslims between the ages of 18 and 25 in France say they place Islamic sharia law above the laws of the French Republic. Television journalist Christian Malard, who had access to the results of confidential inquiries carried out for the French Ministry of the Interior, said they show that more than half of the imams in France proclaim the superiority of Islam over Western culture and the need to Islamize France, even if that means using force. Malard added that the main French Muslim organization, “Muslims of France,” which is the French branch of the Muslim Brotherhood — a movement banned in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Egypt — has a monopoly on training imams in France and has been infiltrating French universities, sports clubs and political parties. “Left-wing” politicians and journalists, who try to demonize “far-right” parties by accusing them of anti-Semitism, are having trouble making… Read more »

A good article speaking to the Islamization of Europe. Reading stuff like this is depressing because this is all being allowed to happen in real time right under our noses and regular people are the ones that will suffer ( and have suffered ) and we’re powerless to stop it, therefore I feel it’s too late to make any meaningful changes in the way of government policies. They’re already here, we let too many in over the years and now we suffer the consequences. Anyways, I’ll get off my soap box now… “World-renowned author sees Islamists conquering Europe,” headlines the Danish newspaper Berlingske. “The forecast is grim, but award-winning writer Boualem Sansal has no doubts: Islamists will gradually take over democracies in Europe. The rise of Hamas is just the beginning of a threat that the ‘incompetent governments’ of the West have failed to understand. And the war is already underway.” Sansal is not a passerby, but the most esteemed Arab novelist. “The whole earth has come under the jurisdiction of the rule of Islam.” Thus in the latest Journal du Manche by Gilles Kepel, the most famous expert on Islam in France. “Today, this movement benefits from the woke and… Read more »

The UK government has more concern for the borders of Israel than ours. Why is that?

Why do you think it is? (Btw, what you say seems to be true, and I don’t really understand why they would think like this – but I’m not a political leader).

I don’t know but it must be of benefit to someone or something other than the majority of the electorate.

I can’t think of any self-interested strategic reason for it. The same applies to the USA. Could it be altruism? Virtue signalling? Maybe Israel could be a convenient battering ram against Iranian nuclear ambitions – but that’s a recent concern.

Oil and gas could be a self-interested strategic reason.

Maybe – but I thought the prospect of oil and gas on Israeli land was a fairly recent thing. Beyond Israeli land, I would have thought support for Israel would threaten the stable supply of oil and gas rather than guarantee it.

The field off the Gaza coast was found 20+ years ago. There’s also mention of the Ben Gurion canal and RFK Jr refers to Israel as their aircraft carrier/ beach head in the Middle East.

Who knows what actually motivates these people but it isn’t the rabble rousing black and white propaganda fed to the masses.

I didn’t know about the field off the Gaza coast. The beach head thing makes more sense though hasn’t Saudi been of more practical military help to the USA than Israel. Has Israel ever been used as a base for US military operations, or joined an “allied” coalition.

I think it’s worth considering that defending (or pretending to defend) the Jews and a Jewish homeland plays well with a certain demographic of voter – they are a useful “victim group” because they are more like us than other “victim groups”.

Lobbying is a powerful tool that has disproportionate influence as is the right kind of intelligence gathering (the kind Jeffrey Epstein could have engaged in if so motivated – but that would be absurd).

Yes though the lobbyists still need leverage of some kind – the people being lobbied have to see what’s in it for them. It seems to play well with the voters – but then you’ll say that’s because the voters have been “conditioned”…

DHJ

Voters may be unaware of the extent to which lobbying is affecting policy.I don’t think it plays well with voters as they are not seeing policies that work for them.

Well indeed we see lots of policies that don’t work for us – almost all of them. Yet people keep voting.

Some people keep voting. Low turnout is no doubt of benefit to the main parties as the loyal few will keep their candidate afloat or the opposition main party candidate which is the same in actual policy terms.

They say that if Israel doesn’t destroy Hamas then the West will be next but it’s far too late for that because they’re already here and have been for years. And it’s not as if it has to be terrorists specifically affiliated with Hamas as all Islamist extremists pose a threat. More on the recent busting of a planned terrorist attack on Jews in these two short pieces; ”7 Muslims were arrested as part of an investigation into a Hamas terror plot targeting Jews in Germany. Hamas have been compared to Nazis and they tried to live up to the name by plotting to kill Jews in Berlin. The information released by Germany’s federal prosecutor reveals interesting angles to the attack plot. 1. Hamas had a cell and operatives in Germany and an underground weapons cache stored elsewhere in Europe. The Hamas terrorists in Berlin traveled elsewhere in Europe and apparently linked up with members of the Muslim immigrant Loyal to Familia gang in Denmark.” https://www.frontpagemag.com/hamas-tries-to-live-up-to-nazi-name-by-plotting-to-kill-jews-in-berlin/ ”The Rotterdam resident arrested on Thursday in connection with an attack plan by Hamas is Nazih R., sources told the Telegraaf. He previously worked at a foundation suspected of raising funds for the terrorist organization.… Read more »

The compliance with the so-called pandemic sent out a clear message that probably wasn’t going to happen.

The BBC reports to manage opinions but this shouldn’t be mistaken for a lack of understanding.

Curious report here – EU to ‘safeguard media freedom, media pluralism and editorial independence’:

https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2023/12/15/council-and-parliament-strike-deal-on-new-rules-to-safeguard-media-freedom-media-pluralism-and-editorial-independence-in-the-eu/

The Council has reached a provisional agreement with the European Parliament on a new law to safeguard media freedom, media pluralism and editorial independence in the EU. The European media freedom act (EMFA) will establish a common framework for media services in the EU’s internal market and introduce measures aimed at protecting journalists and media providers from political interference, while also making it easier for them to operate across the EU’s internal borders. The new rules will guarantee the right of citizens to access free and plural information and define the responsibility of member states to provide the appropriate conditions and framework to protect it.

??? How will that mesh with all the draconian censorship laws being rolled out not just in the UK and EU but globally?

Brazil To Mandate COVID-19 Shots For Kids As Young As 6 Months
“With the obligation, not vaccinating children will result in fines and loss of social benefits to their families.
In addition to mandatory vaccination for young children, the Brazilian government may also introduce a compulsory vaccination program in schools. This will be the result of another bill under present consideration by the Brazilian Senate, establishing vaccine centres in the country’s schools.
According to the newspaper Estadão, this law proposal states that students who do not participate in the school vaccination program would be reported to Brazilian authorities.
“Five days after vaccination in the school unit, education professionals must send to the health unit a list with all students who did not receive the vaccination” along with the address and information of their parents or guardians.
As reported by CNN Brasil, the mandatory vaccination program also will be prioritised for other groups, including the elderly, immunocompromised, the permanently disabled, pregnant and postpartum women, health workers, those with comorbidities, Indigenous peoples, residents of long-term care facilities, the homeless, the incarcerated, and prison staff.”
