French School Assailant Was Looking For a History Teacher

Mohammed Mogouchkov, the 20-year-old refugee from the Russian Caucasus who killed one person and wounded three others in a knife attack at a school in the Northern French city of Arras on Friday, was apparently looking for a history teacher. This is according to the testimony of Martin Dossau, a philosophy teacher at the Lycée Gambetta who was confronted by the assailant in the courtyard of the school before being able to escape to safety indoors.

In an interview with France’s CNews news channel which was recorded shortly after the attack, Dossau recounted venturing out into the courtyard to try to help one of his injured colleagues, at which point the assailant turned towards him, repeatedly asking, “Are you a history teacher? Are you a history teacher?”

Dossau said that he was surprised by the question and that it immediately made him think of Samuel Paty, the history teacher who was assassinated by a Chechen refugee, Abdoullakh Anzorov, in a school in a Parisian suburb, a few days after having shown caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in a civics class on freedom of expression. Mogouchkov, like Anzorov, is reported to have yelled “Allahu Akbar!” during his attack. Today is the three-year anniversary of the assassination of Samuel Paty.

Mogouchkov, who had known ties to Islamic radical networks in France, was under surveillance by French security services. Just four months ago, in June, his elder brother Movsar was found guilty of disseminating terrorist propaganda and sentenced to 18 months in prison, after having already been found guilty in April of forming part of a terrorist association for his part in a 2019 terror plot.

In the days leading up to the Arras attack, Mohammed is reported to have had lengthy exchanges on the Hamas-Israel war via text messages with both his brother Movsar and his father.

Both Mohammed and Movsar are former students of the Lycée Gambetta in Arras. Did one or the other of them perhaps hear through the grapevine about a history teacher at their former school expressing views on the history of the Middle East conflict which were unacceptable to them? Perhaps views which are too sympathetic to Israel?

This bloke is obviously a radicalised delusional soul if he thinks this action will achieve anything…
Is there a difference between him and the pilots dropping their wares on a civilian population below knowing it will kill dozens… Is there a difference?

Just my opinion but I think the issue of uncontrolled immigration, which I’m against as much as as the next person, is getting a bit conflated with these terrible acts, acts committed by people who do not represent the vast majority of ‘sane’ people of the same religion or ethnicity… ‘these blokes attacked Europe’….well these blokes attacked the Middle East….remember this…? “We have heard that half a million [Iraqi] children have died. I mean, that is more children than died in Hiroshima,” asked Stahl, “And, you know, is the price worth it?” “I think that is a very hard choice,” Albright answered, “but the price, we think, the price is worth it.” One act, and half a million children dead….where was the uproar..where was the fury? Who seriously questioned their right to do it? Well many do remember this, and many other heinous acts committed against them..we don’t seem to have the same conversations about it though….and we seem to think we can act with impunity, and these things won’t come back to bite us…. Of course I’m not defending anyone who commits atrocities..they have to account for their acts, but it’s never a simple good bad dichotomy, and it’s… Read more »

I think definitely in France and probably here we have imported a significant number of people who seem to hate our culture, or perhaps that’s used as an excuse to kick off because humans of all kinds, especially young men, like to kick off.

I certainly would not defend the continual interference of the “west” in other countries’ affairs – it seems to me not only often immoral but rarely seems to achieve either the purported aim or indeed any beneficial result for our country.

These “sane people of the same religion or ethnicity” were conspicuous by their absence at the Kings Coronation, and at the vigil held for those killed at the Manchester Arena. Normally on any street you see on TV these “sane people of the same religion or ethnicity” clearly visible in large numbers. Not so at these events. We are importing all of the worlds sectarianism and hate and we will pay a heavy price for that, all in the interests of “diversity” supposedly. Why not ask the people of places like Malmo how they feel about that now.

Presumably they think the same when some atrocity is committed against ‘their people’ and there have been many…the USA and its allies have caused untold deaths…we currently have people who don’t have one whit of sympathy for the thousands now being killed in Gaza as Israel goes about its ‘self-defence….’
Will you be joining people protesting that?

I agree, I don’t think we should be importing people with such a different outlook on life either…but that isn’t because I think the vast millions of those people are entirely evil.

I think you raise a good point, and picking a side in the Israel Palestine war is not a good idea. One can still say Hamas are mad evil and Israel brutal/cruel. Anyway our country should stay out of it avd defend its own borders, which it of course won’t.

Another one in Brussels just a few hours ago. He shot two Swedish visitors and wounded several more; ”As a reminder, the terrorist arrived on a scooter. He machine-gunned innocent people with a Kalashnikov-type war weapon. He shot at a Mercedes Vito in which there were two victims of Swedish nationality, at least one of whom died. He then allegedly pursued a Swedish football fan who was taking refuge in the entrance hall of the Flemish Housing Fund. He shot the victim several times, killing her at point-blank range while she was already face down on the ground. Before fleeing with his scooter. The scene was partially filmed by at least one witness. The terrorist notably wore a fluorescent orange jacket reminiscent of that used by municipal cleaning staff. According to witnesses, the man shouted “Allahu akbar” as he carried out the act. He has already published a video on social networks in which he claims to belong to the Islamic State and boasts of having executed unbelievers. It should be noted that this attack took place during a football match between Belgium and Sweden. This attack comes when Ocam did not consider it useful to raise the level of the threat. Let us remember that our French neighbors are on… Read more »

This is why football needs to stay out of all politics. It is curious how we now want to outlaw “hate” yet import it to our shores everyday.

He’s now been killed so that’s good. One less dangerous piece of shit walking the earth.

”Police in Brussels have shot dead the man who killed two Swedish nationals on Monday evening.
The 45-year-old man named as Abdesalem was shot in a café in the Schaerbeek neighbourhood.
Two Swedes were killed and a third seriously injured in the automatic rifle attack on Monday.
It took place on Boulevard d’Ypres, 5km (3 miles) from the stadium where Belgium was playing Sweden to qualify for the Euro 2024 football tournament.
Brussels has been on its highest terror alert ever since.
The gunman is believed to be a Tunisian man who was in Belgium illegally, after his asylum application was rejected in 2020.”

It’s obvious what is the middle east will eventually befall Europe to a greater or lesser extent. You can’t let the horde in and not expect this outcome. Islam is a kill or convert religion created by a murderous raping psychopath. Don’t believe me, well recall the section when Mohammed’s soldiers were raping women he doesn’t express any horror at the rapes just commands his men not to pull out. That section alone caused the mass rape in Bangladesh which recall was encouraged by Pakistani clerics.

Agree dreadful. Socialism in its two forms fascism and communism has killed even more than any religious ideology. It’s latest mutation as environmentalism will kill 10s of millions. So yr possibly right that picking a side isn’t sensible, but Islam has deeply troubling aspects which are wilfully ignored.

I wonder how more “refugees” pouring into an undefended Europe are extremist, radicalised Muslims with murderous intent?

If it’s even 1% it’s terrifying. But then, that’s what they intend: to terrify.
