Gender Critical Group’s Website Blocked on Train’s WiFi Over Supposed Links to ‘Terrorism’ and ‘Hate’

The website of a gender critical group, Sex Matters, was blocked on a Great Western Railway train’s WiFi, with AI scanners flagging it for “terrorism and hate”. The Mail more.

Sex Matters, a self-described “human-rights organisation that campaigns for clarity on sex in law and policy”, campaigns for “easy and safe” conversations about what it calls “ordinary truth” biology.

But the group’s website was blocked on a Great Western Railway train “because it’s associated with the terrorism and hate category”, a page blocker said.

GWR said that the page was blocked because AI scanners had deemed it ‘adult’ content, likely due to the repetition of the word ‘sex’.

It was not clear why the page was flagged for “terrorism and hate”.

A GWR spokesperson told the Telegraph they have “asked [their] supplier to review the tagging of the site to ensure it has been correctly categorised”.

GWR has not confirmed whether the technology they use is set up to filter out gender-critical content.

Sex Matters is a group “informing public debate by undertaking research and analysis”.

According to their website, their vision is for an “easy and safe” way to speak about biological differences [between men and women] while respecting “belief in gender ideology”.

They argue “it has become dangerous to speak the truth” about biological sex and laws thereof are “unclear and misinterpreted”.

They also claim that “replacing” sex with “gender identity” in various institutions “undermines everyone’s human rights”.

But not all agree with the group’s aims. The People’s History Museum faced backlash and apologised after allowing the group to hold a board meeting on its premises in July.

Internet users called the group “hateful” and trans-exclusive, prompting the museum to say sorry.

Stop Press: More than a third of Britons don’t realise that transgender women are biologically male, according to a new poll. The Telegraph has more.

‘Internet Users’ = Reactionary and moronic

Very interesting.

Censorship is going to be done by machines so it’s going to become a black box issue, where no one will be able to pin point exactly who is doing it or ordering it or even how it works.

It’s going to be just a part of the impenetrable, faceless bureaucratic blob.

I’ve been saying for a while that AI is an ideal tool for content detection and filtering, rejecting CVs from white people and conservatives

An algorithm, just like the one that forecast Covid deaths, BSE deaths, AIDS deaths, SARS deaths and MMGW.

Then it must be right!

Think I’d be more concerned about this revelation if I lived in the UK, not being unable to access a website on a train. I guess this highlights where the UK police’s priorities don’t lie. Enable eco-nutters to grind traffic to a halt, check. Arrest you for misgendering someone online, check. Keep tabs on sex offenders, not a bloody clue!

”Police have lost track of more than 500 convicted sex offenders they are supposed to be monitoring, according to a report.
Dozens are still missing, despite the police being required to log locations of all convicted sex criminals.
A roll call reveals that 503, including paedophiles and rapists, are still living alongside members of the public or have managed to escape the UK, The Sun reports.

The Met Police said it could not track 228, the most of any police force, according to the publication.
West Midlands Police said it did not know the status of 60 and Greater Manchester has not been able to find 32 offenders.”

“Gender critical” is another one of those weird phrases that has sprung up as part of the recent loony and evil ideas industry. I think we should avoid using it. It gives the impression that there is such a thing as gender and that there is some kind of legitimate debate to be had in this area. I don’t know what snappy term one could come up with for people who understand that there are men and women in the human race, and that this characteristic is immutable. Normal people?

We could identify as ‘2SLNGU’ or two sexes, like nature gave us….

It’s a bit more subtle than that. The term implies that there’s a societal consensus about gender theory and some random minority (not yet called gender deniers) is critical of it when it’s actually the opposite: Outside of a few loony toon characters, all of them I encountered so far being male, gender doesn’t exist in everyday life. I suggest to call these weirdos to distinguish them from normal people.

Definitely weirdos

We must resist any attempt to portray normal people as somehow going against the orthodoxy as opposed to the other way round

It should be ‘gender theory believers’ and ‘normal people’. ‘Gender critical’ implies that the majority of people believe in gender theory.

I went round The People’s History Museum a few years back and they had a big section on the Co-Op but no mention of the Co-Op Bank / Crystal Methodist / Uncle Monty and their taking the life savings off of pensioners by selling corporate bonds. Note that the bank has since come under new, and presumably ethical, ownership.

If GWR are so worried about hate, how about apologizing for all the hateful remarks and threats of physical violence made by their staff against customers not wearing face masks.

GWR are headed for being sued.
They are paid for rail transport and services advertized and sold as provided, such as internet connection.
No passenger is damaging their wagons nor otherwise behaving illegally.
But passengers reliant upon internet connection while travelling may lose business or other losses.
Beware, GWR: you´re headed the way of Coutt´s bank and Costa coffee.

Consequential losses such as loss of a business could be huge damages claims. A group action needs to be started.

If this continues no political party or campaigning group or campaigners will be able to operate during the coming General Election except those approved by the political class and the wokery. Aha! Perhaps that is the plan.
