Florence Pugh’s Father Says Oxford LTN Chiefs “Are Acting Like Dictators” as He is Forced to Shut Café

Low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) chiefs are acting like “dictators”, Florence Pugh’s father Clinton has said after he was forced to shut a café. The Telegraph has the story.

Clinton Pugh, who owns three food outlets in Cowley Road, has been a vocal critic of the East Oxford LTN which was introduced as a trial in May last year by Oxfordshire County Council.

His attack on the “really stupid” scheme comes after Rishi Sunak promised drivers that he is “on their side” as he ordered a review of controversial anti-car schemes being rolled out across Britain.

The Prime Minister has told the Department for Transport to probe LTNs, which often use cameras, giant planters and bollards to turn away cars, as the Telegraph revealed.

In Oxford, council chiefs have closed off a patchwork of residential roads surrounding Mr. Pugh’s businesses to vehicles in an attempt to prioritise cyclists and pedestrians, meaning drivers must take a lengthy detour onto busy neighbouring roads to reach him.

Now, Mr. Pugh, whose daughter is currently starring in the blockbuster film Oppenheimer, has lashed out at Oxfordshire County Council chiefs after claiming he was forced to shut Café Tarifa, one of his eateries beloved by locals.

“The losses have been so high that I have lost a site,” he told Sky News, questioning why the council did not roll out the LTN more “sympathetically” by closing every third road.

“Why do it all at once? It’s just not thought through properly, it’s really stupid,” he said.

“They are acting like they are dictators. This is the problem. It’s their idea. They’ve asked us for our opinion and they are not listening.”

Mr. Pugh, whose restaurants have populated Oxford for 31 years, added:  “It has become more difficult to get here, people just don’t come.

“You can’t get staff, they can’t get home or they have to have taxis. The cost of these things is just astronomical and people don’t want to work.

“Tradesmen can’t come because it takes too long to get here.”

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: Energy Minister Andrew Bowie has said that LTNs could be removed if enough locals oppose them as they are making it harder for people to work and travel at a time when the economy is struggling. With the Government under pressure over the green scheme, could Bowie and his colleagues yet be the heroes working people need to make the changes they’re crying out for and end the war on the motorist?

Stop Press 2: Watch Clinton Pugh railing against the LTN that has destroyed his business here.

I feel for these people I really do.. but what needs happening is the group Common Purpose being exposed in these councils and their charity status removed. They’ve embedded themselves in all of our institutions and local government over decades, and need to be outed.

They’re nothing less than a cancerous 5th column, with the likes of Agenda 21 as one of their goals, among many others. Without exposing them and getting rid things will not improve..

Yes, Common Purpose has been lying low for a while. It’s time someone found out exactly who funds them. I’m amazed no one has uncovered exactly who they really are. They’ve managed to hide in the shadows for years now, funding and being funded by numerous organisations.

Brian Gerrish and UK Column have exposed Common Purpose over the years. Check out the link below Dom, there’s lots of info there on them..

George, she is a member of Common Purpose.

In the Sun on the day of Rose’s resignation, the veteran political analyst Trevor Kavanagh added another intriguing clue to her motives. He speculated that a reason why Dame Alison is such an ardent activist might be that she is a member of the deeply sinister group, Common Purpose. He opined that Nigel Farage and others who have been debanked ‘may actually be victims of another shadowy organisation, known as The Octopus, set up in the Blair era, whose tentacles reach into every nook and cranny of our daily lives. Its real name is Common Purpose . . .”

If you create a cult like the ecology cult and give power to the sort of psychos, control freaks, crooks and lowlifes who run local councils to do as they will, you can guarantee they’ll commit every abuse in the book. Local government has turned into a method for freaks and weirdos with vendettas against certain people and industries to commit crimes against legitimate businesses and citizens with impunity.

A successful entrepreneur – anathema to the fascists. Targeted because he spoke out. Debanked next ?

As if the Lockdown scamdemic wasn’t enough to bankrupt many small businesses (maybe 250 K?). From the local to the transnational, all of these fascists seem to be singing the same Horst Vessel song of Gaia worship, marching along, swinging their thin little tranny arms in unison.

Newsflash for the arselings – hydrocarbon energy has zero impact on ‘climate’ it is not derived from ‘fossils’ and cars contribute nothing to weather or ‘climate’. Dropping tonnes of horse shit in the streets led to widespread disease – now gone thanks to clean and efficient hydrocarbon technology, so just F* off with the fascism.

Was chatting to an acquaintance over the weekend who used to a run a successful small business but changed career. I asked her why. “Covid destroyed my business”. No luv, governments destroyed your business. I did point this out, not sure how convinced she was but one should try.

Overheard an elderly (both 80+) couple in Morrisons cafe yesterday. She was on the phone to someone at the NHS, telling her life story about how they have had to sell their house in Spain and are now living with her son and daughter-in-law. Apparently, they have missed many appointments at the hospital in the UK, “because, you know, that all stopped, the pandemic made everything very difficult, didn’t it, my dear?”

I couldn’t resist and told her husband, not too loudly but very firmly, “No – the LOCKDOWNS did it.”

Confused glances.

I want to feel sorry for them.

Facing things as they are, rather than as you would like them to be, is hard – at least it seems hard for most of us. I don’t think it comes naturally to humans.

The Cons are going into opposition, so expect a lot of good soundbites and policies from them over the next year. But don’t be fooled – they will never follow through. The leaders of the Con party are bought and paid for shills of the new world order and they are just trying to appeal to disgruntled Con supporters to stop them voting for alternative parties on the right. The Cons always talk the talk in opposition and never walk the walk in power (at least not for the last 30 years).

This man should sue the Council for the loss of his business. It is deliberate as they admit to reduce traffic, and therefore customers. Open and shut case.
