Pride Banners Attacked in Gloucestershire

Police are investigating “hateful behaviour” after several Pride banners were scrawled with anti-Pride graffiti, attacked and damaged in Gloucestershire. The Mail has the story.

Investigating officers from Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information about the attacks which are being treated as suspected hate crimes.

One of the pictured banners has “we don’t want this crap” written on it while another reads: “Protect the kids from this evil.”

The first incident happened outside Gloucester Quays shopping centre on Saturday June 10th. Police say a man scrawled homophobic graffiti on a Pride banner at around 7.45am.

Then, just two days later, two men and an older woman pulled down three vinyl banners outside of the shopping centre at around 4.35pm. They fled in the direction of Southgate Street.

PC Steph Lawrence, County Hate Crime Coordinator at Gloucestershire Constabulary, said: “We will not stand for this harmful rhetoric or hateful behaviour which aims to intimidate and hurt our communities.”

Well done those people who did this.
And why does Gloucestershire Constabulary have a “County Hate Crime Coordinator” (and why did I guess that it would be a female?)
Haven’t they any real crimes to deal with?

Correct.

Is there an “anti” burglary/theft/rape/murder crime coordinator?

Because we are in an era of political persecution.

If you have an opinion that is against the establishment position, you are accused of a hate crime or misinformation.

It’s political persecution clear and simple.

Try getting them out to solve rural crime, nowhere to be seen, just get your number and claim on your house insurance, but call someone fat! oooh then its off to chokey with you.

Driving through Oxfordshire on Friday I noticed 20 mile hour signs in some villages have been blanked out with silver spray paint.

Correction ‘No Pride Banners’.
Being mentally ill, a pervert, watching porn, snorting drugs and enjoying sodomy is not ‘pride’. It is what it is – a mental illness and perversion.
June = mental illness + pervert month.

Jesus wept! This doesn’t look real does it? I assume it is until anyone in London tells me different. Absolutely bonkers. Does anyone else remember a ‘Pride’ being shoved in our faces, kids getting read to by drag queens or trans extremists being given such a platform in previous years? I certainly don’t. Can’t escape this madness, it’s amplified this years surely?

Absolutely shameful. The wrong flag is being torn down and thrown to the floor! Disgraceful.

Any pride the nation may have had in the Union flag has now been officially superseded by the gross and officially inflated ‘importance’ of the pride movement- which is not – and never will be – deserved of a capital ‘P’.

Whilst looking at the above link, I came across this almost daily occurrence of officially escorted invaders to our shores. Dated 17June 2023.

We are being boxed in by the climaterati and priderati ops and the seemingly armies of healthy, fighting age men who are running away from what, may I ask?

I think that’s the idea, Ellie. To eliminate the concept of pride in one’s nation or nationality, you introduce another flag to be ‘proud’ of. You then attack the country, call its history into question (slavery, imperialism etc) flood it with illegal immigrants thereby creating tension and situations that can be depicted as racist and bigotry in action. You scrutinise its traditions, its culture, with your three pronged approach of diversity, inclusivity and equality, diluting every organisation and institution and creating an imbalance of how society really is made up of different ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation etc. – just look at how advertising very rarely shows all white families even though THAT is still the norm. Make virtue signalling something to aim for, so that middle class people think they are moving with the times and are in the groove whereas they are helping to undermine their own society constructs and so on. The fact that Blair, that traitor, has introduced a scheme called Global Citizenship Training for 13 to 17 year olds shows how our children are being prepared for a new world (order) in which nation states do not figure. What to do? Build strong local communities and… Read more »

But he stole that from Clemenceau (I will fight before Paris, I will fight in Paris, I will fight behind Paris, quote from the time when the German Chemin des Dames des surprise offensive 1918 resulted German troops reaching and crossing the Marne for a second time) and there was never any real risk of fighting in England.

“PC Steph Lawrence, County Hate Crime Coordinator at Gloucestershire Constabulary, said: “We will not stand for this harmful rhetoric or hateful behaviour which aims to intimidate and hurt our communities.”

I suspect that the people responsible for this “hateful behaviour” are probably what in bygone times would be referred to as ‘pillars of the community.’

To the anti-pride vandals – I salute you.

(Aren’t things warming up nicely?)

As others have commented, plod fannying about with real crime would be a turn for the better and a shock to most.

As a side issue – where exactly were the banners positioned and was permission granted for their placement? Had the townsfolk been consulted or were these affronts to decent people foisted on them?

Yes. If the graffiti had called for Pride supporters to be attacked (other than politically) it would not be peaceful protest. I assume that the Mail has not shied away from showing anything which could reasonably be construed as an incitement to violence.

I don’t know, but I guess the banners were put up by the shopping mall or traders’ consortium management with the approval of the local council. Banners get put up for all sorts of events and occasions. If, say, a banner about the King’s birthday had been vandalised would the police be investigating? I’d bet not.

Hate crime? Thought crime more like.

I wonder, was the defacing of various monuments, including (but not limited to) a statue of Winston Churchill, “hateful behaviour”?

I would tentatively suggest that such attacks almost certainly were “hateful”, just not against those that “County Hate Crime Commissioners” are bothered about. Ironically, the statue of Edward Colston famously vandalised by people who probably weren’t that bothered about English slaves in North Africa in 1675 (when Colston was 38), was also located in Gloucestershire.

If that’s ‘hateful bevaviour’, what do they call all the JSO protests, ie all those slow walkers disrupting the thing they ‘hate’ – motorists.

Doing a quick catch up on here, my eyes truly deceive me at times. On first reading your post – which I agree with, my brain substituted the ‘l’ for ‘n’ in walkers! I don’t know if my brain is blessed or cursed at times. Either way, whichever version of ‘walkers’ is used, the protests are still aimed at causing disruption to others.

By definition, a ‘County Hate Crime Coordinator’ has to fill their day with searching out antiwokists ie anyone who objects to the indoctrination of the militant LGBT agenda.
She’s an enemy of every right thinking person.
All funded with our hard earned tax and a major drain on fighting real criminal activity.

The suspects ‘fled’ did they? I expect that actually they wandered off towards their homes.

Quite, ‘fled’ suggests others were in pursuit but that is unrealistic as plod doesn’t have the manpower for pursuit. As if. And definitely not pursuit on foot. I think it’s against their terms and conditions.

I was recently asked to speak at a rally against 15 minute cities, in my own city, Canterbury, Kent, U.K.
I hadn’t decided whether I’d speak until we were gathered. But I thought I would try.
The sound quality isn’t great, but it improves enough as I progressed in describing the awful threats we face.
If transcribed, I think it would make a pretty good article for any of the freedom outlets we have. I’m not going to have time to do it. If there’s a volunteer, please let me know by responding in messages below.
You can correctly detect mounting frustration in my voice together with barely suppressed anger. My language in private is often fruitier than I’d customarily have ever been.
Like “Who the dickens do they think they are?” (Except more Anglo Saxon).
All the best

Anyone like to suggest what harm is befalling the community, other that the attempt to create divisions between groups that previously used to coexist.
Also rhetoric is described as skill in using language effectively and persuasively; it is the first time I have heard graffiti referred to as rhetoric, but it is good to know that the police consider they are carrying out their intentions so well.

Is quietly removing signs about social distancing (and other relics of plandemic propaganda) a hate crime? We don’t want that crap either, yet some shop windows still have them.

As for displaying the signs everywhere wily nily, it reminds me of an episode of Trumpton where the officious policeman tells the firemen (or firefighters or whatever they are called now) “You can’t display your poster on the pillar box, it’s against the law, that pillar box belongs to the post office. Sorry.”

I used to appreciate rainbows and the circumstances to which they were made in the natural world. Now I find that the sight of a rainbow causes revulsion, for the hateful, oppressive, contempt the officers of this movement hold for the rest of us; yes officers, they are of a military style organisation, who no longer wear dark shirts and insignia to set them apart.

The selection of a rainbow is clever, any organisation who may form to oppose this regime has a slim chance of a unified front as the colours available for a standard and collective association have already been subsumed into this military standard, the rainbow.

We live in Gloucestershire and I don’t think I have seen a copper patrolling our village for years. We are supposed to have a pcso, but we never see hide nor hair of him either. When we first moved here we used to have a mobile police station visiting weekly, of course that vanished, along with the mobile library.
I was annoyed the other day to see a ‘pride’ coloured pedestrian crossing adjacent to Gloucester Docks. What a waste of money. I hate having this stuff rammed down my throat.

We left Gloucestershire twenty years ago at that time they were closing the police station at night and the policing cover being sent from 21 miles away from Stow on the Wold, not Gloucester itself which is 11 miles away. Ref, Highway mounted colour chart, are they actually legal, I do not se them in my highway code?
