“Andrew Bridgen MP has incurred the wrath of the establishment by refusing to bow to the ‘vaccine saviour’ narrative” – Members of HART side with Andrew Bridgen in his scrap over Covid vaccines with Deputy Editor of Spiked Fraser Myers. “If Andrew Bridgen was my MP he would be guaranteed my vote. He would also be guaranteed some financial assistance, free labour as needed and a knocker of doors. No question I would stand with this man.” I have just learnt that Andrew Bridgen has joined Reclaim. As I have said previously, those who still believe in democracy would be well advised to support the decent new parties (Heritage, Reclaim etc. ) or a decent independent candidate, in whatever way seems best to them. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that any attempt by Mr. Bridgen to win an election as a Reclaim party member is likely to end up like South Thannet on steroids (a reference to the Conservative pary breaking the rules to stop Sir Nigel Farage getting elected in 2015. If in fact credible evidence turns up after the next election that the old corrupt parties and their collaborators have done a job on him, to me at least… Read more »

Myers’ article [attacking Andrew Bridgen] is rife with misrepresentations and errors of fact, as demonstrated by its ruthless deconstruction by Will Jones in the Daily Sceptic. We would go further, and say Myers’ piece is a shoddy piece of work that is light on detail and heavy on innuendo, uses ill-defined terms and generalisations, gets various facts out of kilter and eschews making any meaningfully accurate criticisms. It was certainly very odd to see the likes of Baroness Fox and Frank Furedi (both long-time associates of Spiked) attempt to rally round Myers: the former by framing the matter as a free speech issue, the latter – in a case of doublethink that boggles the mind – claiming that Myers “writes a lot of sense”.  (HART) If these “covid ‘vaccines’ ” are really being used to reduce fertility, then it is certainly no surprise if Frank Furedi, husband of the dreadful Ann Furedi who apparently supports “post birth abortion” (infanticide), is supporting Myers after his attack on Andrew Bridgen. Whilst of course husbands don’t always share the views of their wives, given the murky links between abortion, eugenics and population control it would seem that Frank at least agrees with Ann on this matter (and similar to Bill… Read more »

I certainly agree with Mr Campbell’s sentiments regarding the BBC and so many of its presenters, particularly Newsnight, and most particularly regarding their preference for interviewing (and representing) people whose views are very similar to his own.

But maybe he should take a little peek in the mirror once in a while?

Who knows, perhaps he did, so well done anyway for the apology.

Intemperate language invariably indicates the wrong end of the argument.

A good article about wokeness, featuring the recent Starbucks incident with a trans person kicking off in the UK as an example, and the rot that’s set in amongst our societies. How will this craziness end, if it ever does? ”In conversation with Josh Guetzkow, Danny and others in my local research group, Josh proposed the following rules as defining the attitudes of acolytes of the culture of entitlement created by wokeness: You must be careful what you say around me so you don’t offend me; You have to give me a trigger warning in case something you are about to say might cause me stress; You must provide me with a safe space to be with other people who are like me; You have to ask me what my pronouns are and use those pronouns when referring to me in conversation, even with other people; You have to tell me what your pronouns are so you create an inclusive environment (which feeds back all the way back to rule 1); … and just generally be adherent to most of the things that have contributed to the snowflake generation. The sad thing is that while we are all busy either kowtowing to members… Read more »

As I said in yesterday’s article, ”How can an 8yr old kid believe they’re in the wrong body?” This is where it starts;

https://twitter.com/DrLoupis/status/1657277412722331648

”Hollywood actress Charlize Theron has threatened to “f*ck up” conservatives who are opposed to drag queens performing in front of children.
She made the threat during a “Drag Isn’t Dangerous” telethon.
“We love you, queens,” Theron said.
“We’re in your corner, and we’ve got you, and I will f*ck anybody up who is, like, trying to f*ck with anything with you guys.
“In all seriousness, there are so many things that are hurting and really, killing our kids right, and we all know what I’m talking about right now.
“The danger to kids ain’t no drag queen, because if you’ve ever seen a drag queen lip sync for her live, it only makes you happier.
“It only makes you love more.
“It makes you a better person,” Theron claims.”
Can somebody report to child protection services please!! 😮

Interesting article from Prof Fenton’s team on how they made the flu ‘disappear’, which it obviously did not. ”Prior to 2020 some patients would have been picked up by sentinel testing in outpatient settings or at GPs and would have been reported as a flu case if they tested positive simply because they would have been tested in time. But post spring 2020 until winter 2021 the chance of such a positive result from the medical system would have been vanishingly small even if testing was performed, which was extremely rare. Also bear in mind the sheer hysteria around Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021 would have affected clinical decision making. Key variables would also have heavily influenced decision making, including unfounded assertions from governments and the mainstream media like: Symptoms previously associated with the flu were now firmly associated with SARS-CoV-2. Asymptomatic people were told to assume they had the SARS-CoV-2 virus. SARS-CoV-2 was recognised as more infectious and deadlier than the flu. In conclusion the delays built into the quarantine system may have created a substantially depressed likelihood of detecting and diagnosing flu, if someone was lucky enough to get a flu test. Similarly, there would have been a hugely increased… Read more »

Nobody on DS drinks it, do they?

Oxford Magazine in 1770 made fun of macaroni style: “There is indeed a kind of animal, neither male nor female, a thing of the neuter gender, lately started up among us. It is called a macaroni. It talks without meaning, it smiles without pleasantry, it eats without appetite, it rides without exercise, it wenches without passion.”
