California Church Ordered to Pay More Than $1 Million in Covid Fines

Less than a week after President Biden signed a Republican bill that officially ended America’s Covid emergency, a U.S. court has sent a reminder that the assault on freedom is not over.

Superior Court Judge Evette Pennypacker ordered Calvary Chapel San Jose to pay $1.2 million in fines after it failed to follow Covid restrictions put in place by Santa Clara County between August 2020 and January 2021. The church maintains that the requirements violated their religious freedom.

The Daily Wire has the story.

“It should appear clear to all – regardless of religious affiliation – that wearing a mask while worshiping one’s god and communing with other congregants is a simple, unobtrusive, giving way to protect others while still exercising your right to religious freedom,” Pennypacker wrote. “Unfortunately, [the] defendants repeatedly refused to model, much less enforce, this gesture. Instead, they repeatedly flouted their refusal to comply with the Public Health Orders and urged others to do so ‘who cares what the cost’, including death.”

The church will appeal the ruling, according to church attorney Mariah Gondeiro. “We look forward to establishing more precedent on appeal that will have far greater implications for the future,” she said.

Surely a good lawyer would proceed as Follows – Show me 100% proof that the masks block the virus from spreading ! Case closed !

Indeed. The Cochrane review should have put it all to rest by now. That the judges ignored that is nothing short of Lysenkoism.

For a fist full of roubles

Well, there we have it from the mouth of the judge – it wasn’t so much an effective health measure, it was a gesture.
I am sure the mask fascists will be able to show the statistics of how Covid infections and deaths in this church congregation were so much higher because if their lack of gesturing. This would, of course, be a part of the judge’s deliberations wouldn’t it?

The scale of this fine exposes the heart of the antichrist spirit behind the lockdown.
If I was a member of this church I would refuse any payment.
God still judges today. The wicked better beware.

Pastor Mike McClure spoke to MD4CE a few weeks ago along with a US lawyer who is giving his legal services for free to numerous cases against the covid tyrannical measures.
A truly humble & humbling man

Christians are right at the front of the firing line. Christianity is the polar opposite of wokeism, which is a religion without foregiveness.

Why doesn’t the church identify as a trans organisation and say they were preparing to rob stores, sell drugs and murder people and taking the masks off allowed to recognize each other and be inclusive, that way they can have the lesser charge of robbery or murder, so they can be straight out on the street.

In any mans-slaughter/mal-practice/murder case there are victims – dead or alive. So who died or became injured as a consequence of the churches (non) actions? This case is to ensure the whole narrative around lockdowns, masks and vaccines stays intact. Klaus Schwab did say how important the narrative is. Actually so did Goebbels, Beria, Lenin, A. H. and a few other similar types.

It’s really hard to think of something more obtrusive than forcing people who come together for a common celebration to hide their faces from each other with some random piece of cloth or state-sanctioned super cloth (of 4 of them for good measure). People who think they need protection from other people’s toxic breath are entitled to isolated themselves or found communities of like-minded people (there should be enough of them) where they can than lead happy forever-muzzled lives until the unhygenic bare-faces have all died of their filthy habits.

It would be interesting to know the level of mask wearing in local Mosques during this period.

I wonder if the “authorities” checked them out?

I’m a church attending committed Christian who refused an untrialled vaccine and didn’t abide by the draconian rules inside church. There are so many gullible people about. The elite were exempt. What does that tell you?
