No stone un-turned in the land of woke
The mail has the story;
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11700745/Controversial-comments-human-rights-lawyer-said-superficial-racial-trope.html
And then interestingly also has the story;
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11702239/Christian-mother-sues-four-year-old-sons-school-saying-LGBT-parade.html
The mother in this case, taking her son’s school to court is black. Does that mean that despite being black she is a racist mother supporting white supremacy?
??????????? No wonder I am up early with an aching head!
I then looked at the article on the Irish Death rates and on that site picked up a link to objections being raised over Irish schools continuing the tradition of making St Bridgid’s crosses out of rushes, I had not heard of this tradition before but it sounds great but no the God of wokery has spoken and it should be banned;
https://www.newstalk.com/news/making-st-brigids-crosses-in-schools-is-not-appropriate-atheist-ireland-1433639
All this nonsense has done nothing for my headache, parecetemol is OK but it is no counter to wokery.
Have Morris dancers been banned as offensive yet? Perhaps they need to be made more diverse by adding in more people of colour, just like Midsommer Murders did, so that box can be ticked and the woketards don’t get their unisex knickers in a twist.
The teams that blacked up for authenticity (“Morris” deriving from “Moorish”) were cleaned up long ago, I think when gollies disappeared from jam-pots. Women became allowable with the rise of feminism. And transhumanism has always been part of the scene.
Yes, Morris dancers have either been banned or have judiciously self censored themselves in at least 2 ways. The coconut dancers of Bacup stopped blacking their faces many years ago. Not so many years ago it was an exclusively male dance tradition.
I don’t have strong feelings about Morris dancers either way but it would be wrong to think they haven’t accommodated social change.
What I’m finding pretty worrisome is that the UK press are reporting on the bug situation in the EU ( the Express did a piece, Farage on GBNews too, for example ) but still nothing have I spied here. Perhaps other EU countries are reporting on it, so it’d be nice if people could post if that were the case. But zilch from the Dutch press that I’ve seen ( and I note JaneDoe hasn’t contradicted me on that yet ) which concerns me because wouldn’t you think this should be common knowledge by now? In fact, it should have been common knowledge among the public *before* the damn bugs arrived on the food scene. But there’s another 8 applications for insects in the pipeline and what are the odds that they want that fact kept hush hush? Maybe they want all bugs safely integrated into our foods before going ”Ta-da! Too late. You’ve been eating bugs for years and it hasn’t done you any harm so what’s the problem?” I’m not scouring all items in the aisles like a weirdo but I am checking out my own groceries. It’ll turn up in the bakery section first I reckon. Fastest… Read more »
There seem two possible scenarios for this development. Firstly, as the green radivcals suggested we must eat bugs, some entrepreneurial types said, “That’s a good idea,” invested in meal-worm and cockroach farms, and applied to the EU to change the regulations, hoping that it would become a popular lifestyle choice.
The second alternative is that the same powerful players are engineering the whole thing.
And where is the animal liberation front when you need them 😉
“Free the crickets!”
😀
Bugs and plants arent cute, So long as it doesn’t have big doey eyes or gambles in a spring meadow then it’s fair game and its life doesn’t matter!
Good Morning All…
This is a short piece on a recent poll..which there seem to be quite a few of…..from Spain …
https://www.foodingredientsfirst.com/news/majority-see-insects-as-future-food-82-not-prepared-to-include-them-in-their-diet-yet-research-shows.html
What exactly are the questions they are asking to elicit these responses? As we know they are often framed to get the ‘right’ response…
What grinds my gears is that whenever you read anything to do with it they say ‘the growing demand’ for…….? and then throw in the word sustainable, and the climate crap…
Who the frick is ‘demanding’ they want to eat insects?
It seems to be the usual ‘normalising fallacy’, as per the globalist plan…
https://www.theparliamentmagazine.eu/news/article/edible-insects-european-union
Exactly. If there were a demand then these outlets have existed for years, usually as a niche online market. People can *choose* to knock themselves out on a veritable insect binge if they so wished, whilst simultaneously polishing their ‘saving the planet’ halo. But the major problem with what’s happening now is that there is no choice. To give choice one would need to be informed first, after all, and this is clearly what’s lacking. I’m reading labels at the shops, for all the good it’s doing because, what I strongly suspect is happening is that the ground insects are being placed in there with zero labelling, using the covert approach, which must surely be breaking all kinds of laws including those that protect the consumer, trading standards etc. The reason I’m convinced of this being the case is that we are apparently onto insect number 4 being approved, so where are all the previous 3 insects? The legislation pays lip service to the fact this crap will be labelled but I regularly check labels and I’ve seen nothing whatsoever over the last few years alluding to insect matter being included in products. Therefore they’re going to be just as… Read more »
Hear, hear.
And while I’m on my soapbox 📣😄….
It’s been plastered all over the news here that they found one cow that died of CJD. One cow. And it wasn’t even the variant which is dangerous to humans and the cow obv didn’t end up in the food supply anyway. Now I wouldn’t call that newsworthy. More cows, maybe. Dangerous to humans variant, definitely.
But multiple insects being approved to infiltrate our food systems through the backdoor, without our knowledge or consent isn’t worth even a few column inches?? The silence is deafening. The sense of perspective totally lacking.
Eating bugs can produce adverse reactions such as shellfish shock so how is that warning going to appear on the packaging?
(Probably in very small type on the back like the nut warning).
Yes…totally agree…although I think they do have to label it, because it not only is the law, but you can be allergic…like peanuts!!
Fancy being the poor bigger whose allergic to cockroaches…and it’s all there is to eat!! LOL!…..
“Very suss.. “
I believe this is more than “suss” Mogs. Something more sinister is going on with this bugs issue. If it was all over the MSM and trumpeted as a great innovation we could mobilise against it, and mobilise against the adulteration of natural foods.
Proper bread does not require additives. Pasta is nothing more than durum wheat flour and water. Are they opening the way for non-disclosure of additives? Or worse, non-disclousre and then pumping ‘medicants’ into food?
This is beyond “very suss,” if you don’t mind me saying.
Toby told me that his uncle the Baron told him that if the Chinese GDP is going at 5% and they eat shark knees then by gum for a quick economic fillip we’ll have to eat snakes feet too, well, you will.
He said you’ve all had it far too easy for too long, and frankly get in my way. Now Liz has gone and you’ve all failed the Covid test we have an opportunity to reimagine our society, so just do your work, keep quiet and get out of my way. From now on we’re copying the Chinese with their iron fist, cos they’ve worked economic miracles by giving their people almost nothing, so that’s the goal.
…and, as usual, it is the fault of MEN….LOL!

OF MEAT AND MEN Men are ‘killing the planet’ because ‘toxic masculinity’ means they won’t go veggie
Can’t see many Argentinians giving up their meat! lol Actually I know plenty of Central and South American expats here and they are massive meat eaters. They go mad for beef on the BBQs in the summer. Aussies the same. Anyways, here’s a ‘Real Man’ in this mini vid;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8Bv12yPY4w&ab_channel=JREClips
Isn’t it nice to know that the globalists will be able to read our thoughts and that this tech already exists? They’ve already demonstrated how they can get away with abusing our right to bodily autonomy but at least our thoughts have always remained off-limits. Could this become mainstreamed in some sectors? I wouldn’t put it past the warped f*ckers. All part of the censorship, surveillance and control net that’s ever-tightening.
“The WEF’s annual meeting in Davos held a very important and exciting seminar discussing “Brain Transparency.” It featured new but working technology that allows scanning of the human brain via wearable devices (no electrodes needed). Such scans allow AI-enabled computers to read and interpret the wearer’s state of mind by instantly understanding recorded brain waves.
The devices they are discussing already exist.
Artificial intelligence systems paired with such devices allow unprecedented insight into the mental and emotional state of the wearer.”

This story is remarkable https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11702239/Christian-mother-sues-four-year-old-sons-school-saying-LGBT-parade.html
someone should be going after the school governors as well for allowing it and if it’s a wider policy, when did that happen!
I haven’t checked the details out, but what’s the betting it’s a church school?
Not sure about the school. Its just wrong. I have just been discussing this with my wife and at primary school if someone had offered my daughter the option of being a mermaid, she would have taken it.
“Danish Newspaper Apologizes For Its COVID Coverage”
Now, Ekstra Bladet, point your finger at all your peers on every msm, newspaper in every country and say “your turn, do the right thing, admit it!”
I cannot take this story at face value. There will be another agenda behind this.
It’s also dated January 2022…
https://www.nu.nl/politiek/6249494/rutte-erkent-dat-kabinet-mogelijk-onbedoeld-te-hard-was-over-ongevaccineerden.html
The Dutch prime minister stating in Parliament that he may occasionally, unintentionally, have been a bit too harsh on the unvaccinated.
The debate goes on about care homes and how facemasks should have been mandated earlier in the pandemic….
I read some of the comments on this article and it is depressing.
I think there is still a very long way to go to make sure this whole sorry saga doesn’t happen again.
Acheta domesticus,Tenebrio molitor!
Swat up on your Latin if you don’t want to eat insects! The EU in their ultimate wisdom have just made it legal to include crickets and mealworm for human consumption and will be included in a wide variety of products (please check for yourself, the list is looong)
I’m not bothered by this SO LONG as they make it very clear what foods they are in!
but they won’t, so check everything!..Like it or not, you will be eating it if you don’t inspect the labels!
“The EU officially puts bugs on the menu”
Some of the daily posters here on DS were full throttle on this a week ago.
…if ever you needed a reason to keep eating meat…
The nut-cracker himself, George Monbiot…and it’s not behind a paywall….
Let them eat lentils’ won’t save us from animal farming – we must embrace meat substituteshttps://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/feb/01/environmentalists-animal-free-meat-livestock-farming
(correction…the very ‘privileged’ nut-cracker…because they always are aren’ they?)
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/feb/01/environmentalists-animal-free-meat-livestock-farming
George Madbio:
“Already, 60% of the mammals on Earth by weight are livestock. Humans account for 36%, wild mammals for just 4%. Of birds, poultry make up 71%, wild species only 29%. While the human population is growing at 1% a year, the livestock population is growing at 2.4%.”
You can see what’s coming – populations regulated by weight.
“Environmental campaigners should be working not to destroy the green alternatives but to ensure they are regulated properly and, through effective anti-trust laws, do not become as concentrated in the hands of a few corporations as the meat trade is.”
You couldn’t make this up – from the fruitcake George Madbio article above, because Billy isn’t bollox deep in fake meat already is he?
Well we are all made out of meat, as Sarah Palin famously pointed out.
…that’s me a goner then….as I am not the sylph-like bean pole of my youth!!
Although, on the other hand, I could possible keep a family of four alive for a week or so…..?
LOL!
😀 😀
Yes strangely I never got a reply from the DS team when I emailed them suggesting this topic to be included in the Round-up. Better late than never but it seems like forever ago when I broke this story.🤷♀️
So….remember Boris visiting Davos and Ukraine a few days ago? I was asking why? Was it official Government Business? Who was paying? Well he is now in the USA, doing the rounds with the neo-con think tanks, and media…not only drumming up support for Ukraine…but actually promoting serious escalation…. A piece in the Telegraph yesterday stated that… “No 10 distances itself from Boris Johnson’s US tour comments…..Ex-PM does not speak for us, says Sunak’s spokesman after push for Western leaders to send Ukraine fighter jets…..Boris Johnson is not speaking for the Government on his high-profile trip to Washington DC, Downing Street has insisted. No 10 has sought to draw a clear line between Rishi Sunak and the former Prime Minister as Mr Johnson, whose allies are pushing for his political comeback, engages in a series of meetings with senior political figures Stateside. He has used his trip to the US capital to pile pressure on Western leaders to supply fighter jets to Ukraine, a move that the UK has, so far, repeatedly ruled out, citing issues of practicality.” So it answers one question, he is doing it all unofficially…. but it seems very worrying to me…he is supposedly, simply an M.P…. Why is he… Read more »
Indeed, he’s got the short straw on this one.
Like Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t suggesting white people need to get beaten to death by police more often to even things up in her mind when she suggested it, I’m certainly not suggesting KGB operatives leave a half opened bottled of Russian Old Spice near a bin in Bunters closest park.
Vinay Prasad’s observations …on the Cochrane Mask Study…
https://vinayprasadmdmph.substack.com/p/the-cochrane-review-on-masks-is-damning?sd=pf
(Personally, I clearly remember, in 2020, watching Miss Whitty on the TV, being asked what had changed in the science, because they were now advising masks wearing…
he clearly said…”the science hasn’t changed, policy has”…..It was one of my ‘scamdemic awakening’…moments!)

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/02/01/qqln-f01.htm
The Berlin-Tiergarten District Court sentenced peace activist Heinrich Bücker in January for speaking out in public against Germany’s war policy in Ukraine. The verdict is a massive attack on the basic democratic rights of freedom of speech and assembly. It is reminiscent of the persecution of anti-militarists in the Weimar Republic who—like Carl von Ossietzky—opposed the rearmament of the Reichswehr (armed forces).
On June 22, 2022, he gave a speech at the Soviet Memorial in Berlin’s Treptow Park on the 81st anniversary of Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union, in which he condemned the cooperation of German politicians with former Nazi collaborators in Ukraine and expressed understanding for the views of the Russian president.
It’s really worth reading to note that his remarks are not inflammatory at all…they are pretty much common sense and quite reasonable and benign….
What is very twisted and odd is the law they use against him……and their reasoning..
For me, it’s a bit of an eye-opener for people who believe in free-speech and democracy…..and think it’s alive and well in Europe….?

“Mr Tice’s love affairs with Matt Hancock and the green blob mean that Reform UK is a busted flush, while UKIP, Reclaim, Heritage and so on fail to register with most voters.”
You couldn’t find a better or more succinct summary of the state of British oppositional politics than this – from an article on Sri Lanka over at TCW.

PAYPAL
I was one of the many who cancelled my PayPal account. I’m sure quite a few of you here did, too.
For me, it wasn’t sufficient that PayPal could just change their minds and go back to business as usual. There had to be a penalty for them, otherwise, what’s to discourage them or any other company from trying it again in the future.
So, having just experienced the inconvenience of a Subject Access Request from a member of a club I’m in, I submitted one to PayPal, knowing it would be both a pain, and add to their costs.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) even gives you a sample one, here
https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/your-right-to-get-copies-of-your-data/preparing-and-submitting-your-subject-access-request/
A Subject Access Request requires that PayPal gives me a copy of every piece of information they retain about me. PayPal insisted I submit it in writing to their European HQ, so in response I demanded that the information be provided to me in written form, too, further adding to their cost. The process required little from we consumers, but increases the company’s administrative costs.
Act to fight back against these megalomaniacs.

Vitamin D… now conclusive
“The rise of the johnny-come-lately anti-vaxxer” –
I must admit to being a bit wranckled by the tone of this piece. We have endured and continue to endure many different groups claiming their ‘purity’ over certain issues and treating others with distain. I think we should welcome each and every one to the sceptic side, no matter what their journey.
Another good entry by JC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5sc7G4s4CY&list=WL&index=3 “Vitamin D, now conclusive”. In it, he stated that he’s using 4000 IU per day – about double the minimum amount I use at present (excluding various types of food that add more).
