Bombshell Senate Report Concludes that Covid “Most Likely” Leaked From Wuhan Lab
The COVID-19 pandemic was almost certainly the result of a lab leak, according to a bombshell Senate report. DailyMail.Com has more.
Policymakers said there was “substantial” evidence of an accident at a research facility — while evidence for a natural spillover is “still missing”.
The interim report concluded that China’s unwillingness to cooperate or open up the lab in question meant it “no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt”.
GOP members of the Senate Committee on Health Education, Labor and Pensions reviewed hundreds of studies into the origins of Covid and interviewed “several dozen” experts over the past 15 months.
Writing in the report, they conclude: “Based on the analysis of the publicly available information, it appears reasonable to conclude that the COVID-19 pandemic was, more likely than not, the result of a research-related incident.”
They add: “Nearly three years after the COVID-19 pandemic began, critical evidence that would prove that the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 and resulting COVID-19 pandemic was caused by a natural zoonotic spillover is missing.”
The report accepts there is still crucial missing information about how the pandemic truly came to be — with no direct evidence for either natural or synthetic origin.
But “the lack of transparency and collaboration” from China “prevents reaching a more definitive conclusion”, the senate committee adds.
“The hypothesis of a natural zoonotic origin no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt, or the presumption of accuracy.”
Proponents of the lab leak theory — including former President Donald Trump — were initially dismissed as conspiracy theorists or denounced as xenophobes.

As the Christian People’s Alliance said from the start. Plenty of political alternatives if we can just look for them and coalesce behind them.
Now we really ought to have an apology from all the people who said that this was misinformation that should be censored (and with all due respect to those who maintain that there was no unusually harmful novel coronavirus).
I should add that the fear that this was some horribly lethal gain of function lab-leak virus was the only plausible non-malign reason I could see for the start of all this shambles.
Indeed, at worst it was a kind of super-flu, and a rather humdrum one at that.
But given it was a result of GOF research, I would say we were pretty damn lucky that was all we got. It could have easily been orders of magnitude worse. GOF needs to be banned yesterday!
This isn’t a ‘victimless crime’. If we’d been allowed to push China to explain themselves in 2020 we might have obtained evidence regarding what exactly they were trying to achieve with their gain of function research. This information might have allowed us to fully understand the risks and have a much more targeted mitigation policy — and with this information we could have saved thousands of lives, kept our healthcare systems going, maintained freedoms and not given our children psychological problems.
Those organisations that helped to suppress free speech during the Covid times aren’t just guilty of suppressing dissent — they’re partly responsible for the deaths of thousands (mainly through healthcare shutting down for a period).

Do you think if China had come out and said, yes sorry, a genetically engineered virus has escaped our lab, that the global reaction would have been more measured?

Common sense says a lab that was doing gain of function experiments on the exact same type of virus one mile away from the market was going to be the source. This has always seemed like the most likely explanation to me for all of the madness that followed. You’ve got to imagine they knew, or strongly suspected. I think it’s called a CONSPIRACY.

To help Toby with his “non-conspiracy” arguments, this is one piece of evidence that suggests to me that world leaders were maybe told by the Chinese (on condition on non-disclosure) that this was probably a lab leak and that they were to expect the worst. That sent Western leaders into panic mode – not least because it could have been US dollars financing it all.
Covering it up is a conspiracy
Even lab leak is boll ox. The leak was deliberate. Event 201 October 19 was the run-through exercise. This has all been planned.
