And Finally…

In this week’s episode of London Calling, James and I disagree about how Rishi Sunak came to be crowned Prime Minister. I think it’s because he’s the only leadership candidate acceptable to the financial markets and James thinks it’s a globalist coup orchestrated by the WEF. But we do at least agree that the the phrase ‘globalist coup’ is not anti-Semitic. In addition, we discuss the Just Stop Oil protestors vandalising the waxwork of King Charles in Madame Tussaud’s – why attack a person who agrees with you about absolutely everything? – and argue about whether they’re in cahoots with the deep state or just very, very stupid. Finally, in Culture Corner, we talk about Adam Curtis’s new documentary about post-Soviet Russia, season two of Barbarians and The Bear, which we both rather like.

Weird. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/nov/17/rishi-sunak-refuses-to-say-if-he-will-profit-from-moderna-covid-vaccine Sunak was a founding partner of Theleme Partners, a major investor in Moderna, and one of the executives managing its US office.
