Can anyone convince me that silent discos are a good idea?
To my mind they represent the worst of modern culture. What about shared experience, what about feeling the bass in your internal organs?
Sorry for off topic post, have drunk too much Sambuca and am listening to a bunch of fat, drunk Americans singing along to “Living on a Prayer”. Apologies to fat American drunkard Bon Jovi fans.

What’s the point..you could stick your headphones on in the house?
Shared experience in the joy of life..that’s what they’re trying to stop isn’t it?
These lot will be happy living in their little pods, eating their bugs, and having a number instead of a name……perfect fodder for the WEF Gnatzis….

Sambuca (and Ouzo)..deadly..I can never seem to limit myself!! Plus I’m going to be singing that all day now…’oh..we’re half way there….oh, oh !’ LOL!

Good for anti noise zones I suppose but it’s a bit Elf & Safety really , killing the feeling of togetherness , which suits the restrictive world we increasingly find ourselves corralled into !

Safetyism …the death knell of everything….

Does anyone one else remember the scene in Barbarella where she thinks she’s going to have sex with David Hemings, but they just put a helmet on that makes you think you are having sex? …(although later she does ‘break’ the sex machine that’s supposed to torture her to death….LOL!)
Replicated in Demolition Man….….where the Lenina character gives all the ‘disease’ reasons why it’s safer not to have actual sex?
(Two films I love)

The young ‘pod people’ will take to the helmets like ducks to water!

Silent discos? Pointless, like playing football without a ball… cr*p, I’ve probably given some moronic leftie an idea.

Thanks for the answers everyone. The people taking part looked like clowns – different coloured luminous headphones represented different streams of music so they were all singing along to different things. Just seems like the stupidest thing ever to me.

All I know about mugwumps is that they are mentioned in the song “Bug powder dust” but as I am an old git it went over my head. What are they? (Great song btw).

‘I have to go to hospital… stop interfering with us!’ Furious motorists drag Just Stop Oil protesters out of the road while one eco activist clambers on top of a police van and glues himself to it on day nine of protests

Just Stop Oil protesters are narcissistic wankers. None of them, despite appearing to be generally well educated, can do any joined up thinking, or spot a ruse when they see it.

BurlingtonBertie

These eco loons protests are happening to get the public to accept the draconian laws to stop protests as the public shriek that the government must DO SOMETHING!
All of it is manufactured to get the desired end result of zero freedom, zero human rights.

Did you notice that the gluer used what looked suspiciously like superglue to stick his hand to the van roof? You know, that lab-created petrochemical-derived cyanoacrylate? And I bet the police had to use an equally environmentally unsound solvent to detach him, no doubt full of VOCs. Doncha just love the cognitive dissonance!

“No, no!” said the Queen. “Sentence first—verdict afterwards.”

The reports from Florida of fires in waterlogged electric cars (EVs) adds to the growing number of reports of EV fires. In more reasonable times the growing evidence of the fire risk from EVs would have called for urgent public attention and possibly a moratorium on EV sales while the safety situation was reviewed.
But we do not live in reasonable times, we live in dogma driven times and so the dogma of ‘net zero’ is so fierce that there can be no thought that the technical solution they have dreamt up may not be safe. As with covid vaccines, now with EVs, the accumulating inconvenient evidence that the technology may not provide the perfect solution must be swept under the carpet as nothing is allowed to disrupt the latest madcap dogma drive narrative.

In general, there are quite a few problems with that type of battery causing a fire: https://www.london-fire.gov.uk/safety/the-home/electrical-items/batteries-and-chargers/ Of course, the battery packs in EVs are rather large and only around 200mm above the road. Not good to leave them in a flood for long.

750 more illegals beached yesterday ! Is there any weight to the rumour that they are UN Soldiers to be used when it all possibly kicks off over this winter 🤔

ebygum

Saw a tweet yesterday from someone ‘down south’ saying at their local hotel, where there are around 150 migrants..a doctor’s clinic sets up twice a week!
While I believe everyone should be treated fairly, this is just taking the Mickey when ordinary Britons can’t hardly get to see a doctor…or access the NHS…
Its just an absolute shambles….everyone knows it…

A little bit of news that has gone under the radar is that three days ago Lizz Truss signed the UK up to part of the EU PESCO agreement…(permanent structured cooperation agreement….to deepen defence cooperation between EU member states)
So I can’t answer your question..although I’ve seen the ‘worrying’ pictures of the young men in question…but maybe they are working towards being able to march a european ‘army’ into any country they want anyway if there’s a sign of unrest?

UN Soldiers?

I made this point many, many months ago Freddy. It is difficult not to reach this conclusion because they are definitely NOT refugees.

Where the hell are they being housed given that there are many thousands landed over the last 2.5 years? There are not 50,000 in hotels for sure.

On an associated side issue, Oldham Council are building 150 X 8, yes eight bedroom houses on old railway property.

Eight bedroom houses? WTF?

I’ve heard they’ve opened up some old Army bases and housed them there. I find it deeply suspicious that they’re welcomed – picked up in fact – and then marched off and we never see hide nor hair of them again. There are a lot of unanswered questions. If we’re we roughly taking up to 5000 a week, that’s 20,000 a month and they’ve been arriving for months. No women or children just these young men. I don’t lack empathy with genuine refugees and I’m no racist but this is taking the urine!

huxleypiggles

I’m bloody convinced it’s an army Aethelred and I have been saying so for months. Presumably, something nasty is going to be unleashed at some point which brings people on to the streets and “forces” government to mobilise these mercenaries.

Re the Mail story about pregnant women…..the majority of the comments below the article note that the woman who is cited in the article….’was fully up to date with her vaccinations’…..!
I don’t think they’ll convince anyone…but I do have to wonder why they are still targeting pregnant women so aggressively, it’s very upsetting and worrying….

I might owe her an apology from reading reviews of her book ‘Runaway Medicine: What you don’t know may kill you’. Although, ‘Doctoring Data’ looks as though it might be superior.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/reviews/B08JCHP7QF

It is perplexing that she looks to ‘long COVID’ rather than vaccine harms as a cause of an increase in strokes, heart attacks and sudden deaths.

This should put rNHS managers on the warpath. How can they defend their magnificent incompetence if their constant lying about a covid surge is exposed?

This data and such calculations from The Exposé might be worth a closer investigation, and an extension to the other age brackets. https://2ndsmartestguyintheworld.substack.com/p/official-gov-data-confirms-covid
“Covid-19 vaccinated children are 4423%/45x more likely to die of any cause than unvaccinated children and 13,6333/137x more likely to die of Covid-19 than unvaccinated children.”

From Together:

Open Letter: Apologise, Reinstate, Compensate Care Workers – Together Declaration

Forcing out approx. 40,000 social care workers for declining the Covid jab was not just unethical, but disastrous for the care sector and those it supports. The sector now has 165,000 vacancies, with 500,000 members of the public waiting for assessments, care or reviews. The situation is grave and urgent, not least as without a functioning care sector the NHS will collapse.
Everyone is invited to co-sign our open letter to Health Secretary Therese Coffey below, by the deadline of 30 October when we’ll post hard copies of the letter to the addressees.

huxleypiggles

It is now becoming blindingly obvious that the total collapse of the NHS is part of Central government planning. If people cannot obtain treatment, even if it is second rate, then the death count will surely rise. Obviously this will have nothing to do with rank managerial incompetence and everything to do with the ‘backlog,’ and the coming ‘flu, whoops I mean covid season, which as ever is totally unexpected. However, increasing mortality will doubtless provide big bonuses for the Cabinet as they strive to hit their WEF targets.

Just wait for the introduction of a national telephone triage system. The chances of getting through will be more remote than a call to BT.

Yes, Greta Thunberg, the successful young Swedish entrepreneur and thought leader whose childhood was stolen and whose life lies in ruins. Caroline Lucas – another useful idiot, spouting mantras about sustainability and renewables like a stuck record and wishing she were a young Glenda Jackson. And yes, CBDCs the elephant in the room that no one seems worried about as they flash their plastic and forget about ‘cash’. You know, Hux, I’m getting to that point where I simply do not care any more. All I can see is the slow motion destruction of our society. It doesn’t have to be like this. We could change things if we had a voice loud enough to counter all the nonsense we see and talk about here. We have an impotent parliament, censored media, and those who would not normally be given such prominence – Mad Schwab and Loony Gates – proselytising and propounding their ridiculous ideas and being taken seriously. I may have to take to the hills and conduct guerilla tactics before long but I’ll probably freeze to death and do myself a favour into the bargain – I know – I won’t but I like to dream too. Just don’t give the dickless wonders the satisfaction of acknowledging their existence. And they are dickless because who in their right mind lurks on a site where they clearly don’t belong just so they can troll people that they’re evidently too scared of to fork out a piddley 5er so that they can actually challenge somebody’s post? So lurking in the shadows they remain because that’s where cowardly trolls belong. Sucks to be them.😁

A grand post Aethelred. I share your views.

I had a text this morning from an occasional drinking colleague who sent a short vid of Jacinda the horse about to make a speech while surrounded by unmasked goons. They had masks in their hands. After a quick conflab it was agreed the goons would mask up. Jacinda took to the mic, yep, unmasked.

My sometimes drinking colleague posted:

“Nothing else to say. We were hoodwinked!”

My response: “I most certainly wasn’t.”

I had a related experience at the weekend. It looks like some covidiots are trying to cleanse their souls by trying to link to my obstinacy. I have never worn a mask. Ever. Not so much as had one in my pocket.
