• “Sussex Police issue humiliating apology after Home Secretary blasted them for ‘policing pronouns’ when they warned it was ‘hateful’ to say trans paedophile was a man when they [sic] sexually abused seven children” – Sussex Police released an apology for defending the gender of a legally male paedophile online, after the Home Secretary said the force should be focusing on “catching criminals”, according to the Mail – which nonetheless confusingly used the pronoun ‘they’ for the offender.

• “Labour MP Rupa Huq suspended after calling Kwasi Kwarteng ‘superficially black’” – The backbencher says she has contacted the Chancellor to apologise that he found out about for remarks made at a conference fringe event, the Telegraph reports.

• “PayPal reinstates Free Speech Union accounts after being accused of ‘politically motivated’ ban” – The company has issued a statement voicing support for freedom of expression following criticism by MPs, reports the Telegraph. PayPal supporting freedom of expression? Don’t make me laugh.
