• “Royal expert slams ‘inappropriate and opportunistic’ remarks about Queen” – The Mail reports on the crass behaviour of some woke American academics.
• “Calling bakery racist for chasing a thief costs university in Ohio $37m” – A university in Ohio is to pay $36.6 million to a local bakery after students and staff falsely accused it of racism because an employee chased and restrained a black student, reports the Times.
• “Church accused of ‘obliterating history’ over removal of ‘deeply offensive’ memorial to slave owner” – An 18th century memorial plaque commemorating Dr. John Gordon’s role in putting down the slave rebellion known as Tacky’s War will be replaced with one bearing a different inscription, reports the Telegraph.
• “Church rainbow NHS bench must be repainted to protect ‘feelings’, court rules” – The judge says the bright colours and political messaging in consecrated grounds are “inappropriate” for mourners after it was painted without seeking consent, reports the Telegraph.
• “Don’t call mothers ‘she’ in advice on maternity, Stonewall urges Oxford” – Stonewall told Oxford University to stop referring to mothers as ‘she’ in order to win a higher place on its controversial employer scheme, new documents have revealed, according to the Times.
