London Calling
In this week’s episode of London Calling, James and I disagree about whether Liz Truss is her own woman or controlled by the WEF, discuss the Chris Rock/Dave Chappelle gig which I went to on Sunday night, disagree about whether the Extinction Rebellion protest in the House of Commons was allowed to happen by the authorities, explore James’s hypothesis that the bush tucker trials in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here were designed to prepare us for our insect-eating future, then, in Culture Corner, share our joint surprise that the Lord of the Rings TV series is actually quite good, although I liked it more than James.

Here is a discussion I would like to hear on London Calling that goes beyond Toby is a cuck and James is a looney.
Let’s suppose Liz Truss announced that Britain was dropping net zero, that climate change is not an existential threat and that the real threat is financial pain from unnecessarily high energy prices. I know, unlikely to say the least, but let’s suppose she did that and announced a drive to produce energy by all means and all sources available.
It would be interesting to hear Toby and James discuss what would happen next. Who would try to derail her and how? It would force Toby to flesh out how exactly he thinks the system thwarts politicians and similarly how James thinks that Klaus Schwab and his WEF bots or whoever it is dictate agendas.
That would be an interesting debate, though not as interesting as if she actually did that. We’d become an international pariah* and the last few remaining middle class liberals that still vote Tory would desert the party.
*I think it would be survivable though. People still dealt with the US under Trump.
I’m pretty sure that there would be a wave of support for her and her party. Which would beg the question: why doesn’t she do it?
I think it would win her more votes than it would lose her, for sure. As to why she doesn’t do it, good question. The parliamentary Conservative Party doesn’t seem very conservative – not sure why.
To whom have they sold their souls?
I would love know
Lol, downvoted for saying we’d be a pariah? We would be. For saying that middle class liberals would desert the party? Pretty sure they would.
Yes, I noticed that, ToF. They’re a nervy bunch the downtickers. You can never tell where they will invert thumbs next…
I’ve no issue with people disagreeing with me but for goodness’ sake say why! It’s not like I posted “I love lockdowns” or something.
For the hard of understanding, I’m not saying we should be a pariah, just that we would be. For example, look at Macron’s reaction when it looked like we would not lock down in March 2020. Also not saying it’s necessarily a bad thing that middle class liberals desert the Tories.
I wonder how much Big Finance (and their buds, Big Pharma) can effectively direct a nation – even one as large as the UK – to adopt certain policies by threatening to withhold finance (and medicines)?
I think James Delingpole really gets it yet Toby Young, whose feet dragging antics remind me of friends of mine whose reluctance to admit what is blindingly obvious is mixed in with a certain denial (which they will deny!) still has a way to go. However, the combination works and works well as it shows you can be an outrageous truthteller and still be friends with a reluctant one. I have the same type of thing going with a very good friend of mine. However, he is totally onboard with the Climate Change Express and won’t hear a word against it. Doesn’t even want to talk about it. I do wonder, if he is so convinced, why not try and convince me…after all I know nothing really. I just have a gut feeling plus I listen to alternative experts and follow the money trails which make the most sense. Still, it’s his religi..beliefs I mean.
This really needs to be further researched as it has huge implications for us, the men, women & children of the UK. [Forwarded from ANDY NUFC] Update on the last 24 hours…… so both Boris and Liz had to travel to Balmoral in Scotland to see the queen? for Boris to resign as British Prime Minister and Liz to be sworn in as the new Prime Minister? legally this can not happen because Scotland is out of jurisdiction of the City of London Corporation, any head of state or Prime Minister can only take, or be sworn into, legal office when they are physically in the location of the City of London , not forgetting the City of London Corporation ( the government) was dissolved in 2021, so everything they have done is illegal ,but it’s under civil law, which is the law of consent, you have continued to give your consent to an illegal government to govern you…… When a government corporation gets dissolved it then passes to military control, we are and have been under military rule since then, the optics of what the “government” are doing are to get you to wake up, and the only way to do… Read more »
Buckingham Palace isn’t in the City of London.
Thank you! I’m a Yorkshire lass…. London geography not high up on my knowledge list.
I did say it needed to be further researched….
