• “NHS ‘could need Covid-style measures to cope with winter crisis’” – The Telegraph reports that the Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation has called for an “honest conversation” with the public about the capacity of the health service this winter, as he says the public needs to make a “really big contribution” as they did in Covid. “We tested ourselves, we stayed at home, we wore masks, we did things to try to relieve the pressure on the health service.”
• “How Dick Cheney created Anthony Fauci” – Ashley Rindsberg in UnHerd reviews the White House biodefence agenda which gave Fauci his power but which, Rindsberg says, has finally backfired.
• “Excess deaths, the data” – Dr. John Campbell digs into the data in his latest video.
• “U.K. Government says vaccine not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women” – Norman Fenton on the strange fact that the U.K. Government has a web page with a document titled “Information for Healthcare Professionals on COVID-19 Vaccine Pfizer/BioNTech” which says it was “updated on August 16th 2022” and which appears to tell pregnant women they should not be vaccinated.
• “NHS ordered to cut spending on management consultants by up to 80%” – The Telegraph reports that Steve Barclay has told health bosses to free up money for front-line services as the drive to clear massive waiting lists continues.
• “Europe still hasn’t learned from its lockdown debacles” – Mark Nayler in the Spectator says that if the U.K. and Europe are “to finally have a ‘grown up’ conversation about lockdowns, politicians could do worse than admit that, in early 2020, hardly anything was known about their effectiveness, legality or side effects”.
• “Joe Rogan tells Americans to vote Republican” – James Billot writes in UnHerd that the popular podcaster has said that people who suffered under stringent Covid policies should vote Republican in the midterm elections.
• “How climate policy fuelled our energy crisis” – From the Climate Change Act to Net Zero, green policies have throttled our energy supplies, writes Andy Mayer in Spiked.
• “Listening to European Electricity Traders Is Very, Very Scary” – Paul Homewood on WUWT says the “real cause of this looming disaster has been the government enforced shutdown of most of our coal generating capacity during the last decade”.
• “Almost one in four say they won’t turn heating on this winter” – The Telegraph reports on the concerning responses when pollsters asked more than 2,000 U.K. adults how they will respond to increasing energy prices over the winter.
• “Harrison Ford frequent flier on private jets despite climate change activism” – The famous actor’s private jet has made several trips since late June, stretching more than 5,000 miles and emitting 35 metric tons of carbon, despite him being a climate activist who said people must “cry out for justice” during a climate conference last year, according to Fox News.
• “How Woke Put Paid to Publishing” – Joanna Williams writes in City Journal that until the industry reclaims its allegiance to free speech over ideological orthodoxies, both readers and writers will suffer.
• “It’s time woke politicians faced the consequences of their own beliefs” – Douglas Murray in the Telegraph says that in America, supporters of illegal immigration are finally seeing the reality on their own doorsteps.
• “Twitter and Meta take down ‘extensive’ covert pro-U.S. propaganda campaign” – Users of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in the Middle East and Asia were targeted by a network of fake accounts promoting the United States which have now been taken down, according to the Telegraph.
