Some apposite lyrics from my most favourite band:

A winter wind blows
In from the North
Scratches your spine
Cold like the forth
But you’re a long way from home
Through the dark we tiptoe
The hospital looms
As we walk Fleet Road

Good morning Team Sceptics.

  • ‘Vaccine fatigue’ could hit autumn Covid boosters” – Britain faces a low uptake of the Covid booster jab this autumn amidst ‘vaccine fatigue’ and “complacency about the virus”, according to the Times. Complacency? Are we supposed to be afraid?

Worth repeating, Times muppets. I wonder if they’ve put their journalist Oliver Wright (who formerly wrote on big pharma corruption for The Independent) onto the latest on
“covid ‘vaccine’ ” related pericarditis compared to its tenuous link to “covid” infection, or the excess all cause mortality in Portugal compared to the negative all cause mortality in Bulgaria? Surely the Times muppets wouldn’t try and fool us would they? Muppets!
I reckon I’ caught them red handed. They can lie and smear all they want, but I’ve got their number. Muppets!

basically the biggest energy supplier in Austria has gone bust…

The energy crisis puts Wien Energie in a financial emergency, it’s about 1.7 billion euros. Now even the federal government could have to step in.
An explosive bomb burst in the energy sector : Wien Energie was swept up in turbulence by the immense price increases on the electricity market, had to deposit around 1.7 billion euros in collateral – and apparently couldn’t. The terms bankruptcy and bankruptcy are avoided, but financial hardships are confirmed. Why? Energy companies can either buy energy more expensively now or cheaper for the future as so-called “futures”, which, however, require the securities mentioned.

I know someone who works for Apple and supports the campaign to work from home and I can assure you it’s not out of concern for “racism” or “sexism” – it’s purely driven by his having moved to another country during covid and not wanting to move back. I’m sure a large proportion of the people in the WFH campaign at Apple have no concern for racism or sexism, they just want to be able to work from home and playing the race card is the smart move. I don’t suppose Apple care much about racism either. It’s just hypocrisy and dishonesty upon hypocrisy and dishonesty. That said, Apple’s edict makes no sense to me. As I’ve said before every business is different, and I certainly don’t believe in a “right” to work from home (nor one to work in the office) but I strongly doubt Apple could demonstrate any sound business reason backed by evidence for forcing people to go to the office. My own experience has been that the default position of office based teams working more effectively simply isn’t accurate, and where there’s a drive to get people into offices it’s motivated by the personal whims of… Read more »

Most managers don’t do anything useful. Instead, they like to feel useful by having ranks of people (the ones trying to do useful things) to “encourage”. And being able to do that in person gives their egos a boost.

Without the in-person aspect, being mainly extroverts, they lack purpose and are worried about their uselessness being noticed, and that they will then become surplus to requirements.

This is partly why the drive to work from home happened so quickly, once set in motion. It gave the managers purpose. The whys and wherefores didn’t matter to them. Most companies have legions of these types of people.

Indeed. “Something must be done” is a human trait, especially with politicians and senior managers – and it’s largely why we’re in the state we’re in.

JohnK

Money, is the simple answer. I’m not criticising the products of Apple – I’m a long term user of it, but more “working from home” is good business for them.

  • Australia’s excess death toll just keeps getting worse” – The Arkmedic blog reports on the latest all-cause mortality statistics from Australia, which “paint a horrific picture of the effects of public health policy with around 15,000 excess deaths since October 2021”.

The Times muppets can put Oliver Wright on the case, and then maybe we will see some people from the Australian government go to jail over this.

Times muppets!

Hey, if the Times muppets give Mark Steyn an uncensored column, maybe they could regain some trust.

Incidentally does anyone know if any athletes have broken a world record (or personal best) within 28 days of taking a “covid ‘vaccine’ “? Get Oliver Wright on the case.

“Vaccine fatigue”!!😆 People wising the hell up more like.
Observations since coming back to UK; I’ve never seen so many masked muppets but 99.9% are Chinese-looking. This was in York though, which has a very high % of Chinese international students and many tourists. Oh and let’s not forget the stupid bloody messaging on Transpenine Express trains giving thanks to customers for being courteous and considering others by wearing a muzzle. Mmkaaay…🤦‍♀️😤
Now at the ‘Yorkshire riviera’ where it seems to be populated by saner folk.😁

Remember the time when if somebody was dying you had to follow Covid protocols before you could even think about helping them?

Like lifeguards not being able to give mouth to mouth or not entering a neighbour’s house if they were having a heart attack due to limits on the number of people allowed in?

Yep, some people thought that was sane and think the world should still be like that.

Nobody2022

The actions taken “saved” lives and those people are now dying anyway.

Businesses were “saved” by furlough and grants and they’re now going to be forced out of business anyway.

The NHS was “saved” from collapse and it’s now as good as broken.

So what did our actions really achieve?

Also remember that a lot (most?) of the actions were to “encourage” behaviour rather than for a specific health purpose.

Good afternoon!
Late to the party today as I’ve been busy reporting a builder who took my money for goods & services & then never returned… But because he started the work it’s not fraud, so to get my money back I have to put in a Civil Case against him.
The contract is absolutely broken.

First of a number of links for you guys looking at the historical links between a major pandemic & mass vaccination.

Thanks for that – positive indeed. I’d love to see the stats on fines issued, how many were paid, how many were disputed, how many went to court and how many cases were dismissed, lapsed or collapsed.

“The judge found that although Corbyn had broke regulations at other demos, the police approach to the November 28 event had been wrong. A Chief Superintendent had decided that any gathering on that day would not be “lawful”, and told organisers: “Anyone participating in a protest gathering today will be committing an offence”.
The judge said this was an “incorrect” interpretation of the law, prejudging the actions of protestors and blocking Corbyn and others from attempting to lawfully exercise their right to protest.”

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/astrazeneca-hunt-oncology-cardiovascular-acquisitions-2022-08-23/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=twitter

LONDON, Aug 23 (Reuters) – AstraZeneca (AZN.L) may not stay in the vaccine business in the long run, its CEO told Reuters on Tuesday, showing how quickly fortunes have changed for the drugmaker that produced one of the first COVID-19 shots but has since lost out to rivals.
AstraZeneca is also looking for bolt-on acquisitions, including small and mid-sized companies specialising in oncology and cardiovascular treatments, Soriot added.

oncology and cardiovascular!? You could not make it up!

Never let a crisis go to waste.

Having played a leading role in creating the current health crisis which is clearly featuring a large uptick in cancers and cardiovascular diseases the CEO has decided that AstraZeneca will now do the decent thing and hop over to the other side in order to provide solutions to problems they created.

Presumably AZ have done a cost benefit analysis and concluded there is now and will be for the foreseeable future an ever expanding supply of patients awaiting their yet to be developed concoctions, to deal with the cancers and cardiovascular problems shortly to manifest.

Awh, ain’t that nice.
